YES - go Cheat Death because you are likely to get killed easier than your partners once you have no cooldowns.
NO - get Waylay to have the most reliable peals for your partner and the extra ambush damage and crit.

It's the pure Damage spec (If you rarely get focused in your comp, this is the way to go)

The proc chance of Wound Poison scales with weapon speed and it deals a small amount of damage.
It's good against melees and casters, because it does some damage and reduces the effects of all healing abilities by 10%.

It doesn't scale with the weapon speed, it's a set Proc Rate, so put this on a fast weapon
It's a must-have in PvP as Subtlety (Mutilate doesn't need Crippling Poison due to Deadly Brew)
It works like this:
Until you have a five stack up, it will regularly proc from whatever weapon you applied it to (it is not a PPM (It doesn't scale with the weapon speed, it's a set Proc Rate, so put this on a fast weapon).
When it does reach five stacks, procs will not only refresh the Stack, it will also Proc the Poison from your other weapon.
This mechanic makes very potent when used in combination with a Poison that deals direct damage (Wound Poison and Instant Poison). Because it increases the amount of hits from your other Poison it has amazing synergy with Instant Poison and is responsible for Assassinations high damage.
This poison deals a decent amount of damage (albeit only with Improved Poisons, Mutilate Mastery and Vile Poisons).
The proc chance scales with weapon speed; the slower the weapon the higher the proc chance.
Dealing only auto attacks the damage from this poison is the same no matter what the weapon speed is.
Including specials, the damage scales a lot better with slow weapons, as it proccs off of any mainhand attack.
Due to this mechanic it is clearly the best poison as Assassination for your mainhand, but it also makes it a rather bad poison for Subtlety (it lacks Improved Poisons, Vile Poisons, Mutilate Mastery, as well as an offhand with Deadly poison on it).

It's a fast and good way, to manage the focus targets in arena. (You have to replace X with 1,2 or 3 per macro)
You can drop Blind arena1/2/3 if you use this macros with a focus blind macro.
Obviously if you have the spare binds, then it's better to have both /focus arenaX and /cast[@arenaX]Blind macros, but if you don't then the setup above gives you a bit more flexibility.
Activating Shadow Dance on the first use, while in Shadow Dance you're casting Garrote with Premeditation. Saves a keybind for Garrote.

5. New Spells
There are so many uses with this spell.
Avoiding CCs, nuke targets in a Smoke Bomb (with Kidney Shot, when trinket is already down), forcing trinket (Kidney Shot + Smoke Bomb), saving your mates, Dispel protection on CC’d targets, etc.
My favorite one is that it breaks Stealth on your enemies (NOT Vanish)
Good spell for fast, unexpected switches (5 CP Kidney Shot after Redirect)
Very nice spell. With Improved Recuperate it increases your survival by a good margin.
Very strong defensive cooldown against melees/Hunters. Useless against casters that don't have a pet that deals physical damage.
Against Non Mages:
Sap Garrote (with Premeditation and without breaking Sap) Shiv (for Crippling Poison Proc) Backstab/Hemorrhage Kidney Shot ~0,2 seconds before the Garrote Silence fades.
Sap Garrote Envenom (to stack Deadly Poison up) 2x Mutilate Kidney Shot
Sap Garrote (with Premeditation) without breaking Sap instantly Kidney Shot him spam Backstab/Eviscerate until the Silence fades (you can use Shadow Dance at this point and spam Ambush instead of backstab).
Don't even try to duel a Mage.

Most of the time you have to open with Cheap Shot instead of Garrote followed by a Kidney Shot, because the enemy can easily run away
7.1 General Addons
LoseControl makes it easy to see the duration of crowd control spells by displaying them in a dedicated icon onscreen.
OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items/spells/abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they'll be ready for use.
Gladius adds enemy unit frames to arenas for easier targeting and focusing. It is highly configurable and you can disable most features of this addon.
Quartz is a highly configurable cast bar addon.
Tidy Plates enhances World of Warcraft's nameplates (ie. floating health bars) and provides a built-in API which can be used to create your own design.
This addon places a highlighted border around various enemy buffs on the target and focus frames that your class is able to dispel, just like a rogue sees a border around buffs he can Shiv dispel.
This Addon says a clear /say message when you kick something, immediately letting your teamates know you locked a school of the enemy and that your kick is on cooldown.

-paladins get 30% fear duration reduction, bubble, sac and aoe sac to avoid fears or negate their durations. INFERIOR!
-priests get 30% reduced fear duration, fear ward and sw:d to negate fear durations. INFERIOR!
-druids heal on the move, move REALLY fast and realistically never eat an aoe fear. INFERIOR!
-shamans get tremor totem which pulses every 3 seconds, which has 5 hp and sometimes even works. all at the mere cost of 1 global, positioning your entire team within a few yards of the totem so nobody runs out of range in the fear durations, which is foolproof against an aoe fear bomb with a totem stomp. VASTLY SUPERIOR!
in all seriousness, tremor is a stupid mechanic for resto shamans in particular, simply because getting the most out of it requires you to be in a pretty horrible position, even if you're just breaking your teammates out. your team's lifeline is directly proportionate to whether you still have a trinket or not, and i promise you that a full duration fear is often plenty to guarantee you burn that.
assume that you have a tremor totem down and you eat a fear, and one second later your tremor is destroyed. assuming that this totem has been alive some time longer than 3 seconds, but beyond that it's anybody's guess, well, this means that 33% of the time you are getting out of that fear early, eating up to a 1 second fear rather than a 9 second one, and the other 66% of the time you are eating 30% more fear than any other class, a 9 second fear as opposed to a 6+ second one if you were a different class.
this means that in the above scenario, tremor is on average making your fears last (1 second + 9 seconds + 9 seconds)/3= 6.3 seconds, which oh my sweet baby jesus is the exact same duration that any class but a druid will sit in a fear for, every time, all the time, regardless of position, RNG and mad skillz.
extrapolate this and say that the faster you are totem stomped in relation to the time of the fear, the longer your fears will, on average, last compared to a different healer. you are now worse off than anything except a druid eating a fear as soon as the totem stomping happens sooner than 1 second after the fear lands.
now imagine a world where not only are you being feared and getting stomped, but you are getting stomped in succession, whether by pets, by priests mowing down those glowing green gobs faster than zombies in redneck rampage, whatever it may be. now you see a priest or a lock going for the fear and your tremor is stomped. let's say you have catlike reflexes, get down a new tremor HURRAY! you got the tremor, now you just have to hope that nobody stomps your totem, and you don't run out of range of it by the 3 second mark.
so to sum it up: tremor is mad OP as long as it never gets stomped, and is pretty balanced from an insane, drunken, german gynecologist RNG standpoint as long as it is only stomped 1 second or later after you eat a fear when it is up.

We've seen it all. Axes with arp gems. Axes with str gems. Maces with str gems. Maces with arp gems. Some prot warrior with only crit gems in his gear getting Glad. You name it, IT WORKS. Stop stressing out and try some shit for yourself. Go for the looks. Do you like how the mace looks? Go for it. Do you like the looks of the skull on the new axe? Make it your friend. Then work from there. Do you destroy RMPs and Warlock cleaves but have trouble with 'men', TSGs and all that? ARP is your new weapon of choice.
There is only 1 thing that is good with this expansion and that is variety in specs and gear, compared to how it used to be in TBC 'Mace and str gems, end of story'. Enjoy it while it lasts and try to make a decision for yourself for once.

rated BGs with premades playing some sort of outlast team with a shitload of resilience and prot specs... doesn't sound appealing :(
