Im just hoping they will rethink the classes a bit.

considering ongoing class design is one of the reasons current wow is so shit, i'm surprised anyone would want them to "rethink" classic wow class deign tbh - would hate to imagine how vanilla classes will look after the teams that brought you wod pruning + legion class fantasy get their dirty hands on them

Because both the mechanical aspect and the depth of classes in these games are 1000x more shallow and lacking than WoW (heck, Legion) will ever be. That's why.

so the classes are not fun, meaning the game is not fun...so you agree with my point :)

the game itself is fine, the only thing needed is more players

because there is absolutely no correlation between current pvp gameplay being a steaming pile of shit and pvp ladders being dead ;)

 

And for fuck sake, blizz is the kings of hyping new expansions, do the same for PvP.

there was a massive amount of hype around wod, there was a massive amount of hype around the pvp features introduced in legion - both of those things turned out to have nothing but shit underneath the hype, so ended up with shit participation levels

 

"the game is fine it just needs more hype" is completely retarded, sorry

there are two horrifically large issues with wow pvp currently - pvp gameplay is depressingly boring as fuck due to pruning + class design being overwhelmingly centred around raiding at the expense of all other aspects of the game, and the reward structure is trash for people who don't have the skill/social circles to get gladiator/rank 1 every season

 

i'm confused why people think adding the ability to solo queue for arenas would solve either of these issues - or are we presuming that there are hordes and hordes of people desperate to experience legion pvp in all its 4 button pve rotation idiot proof glory, and the only thing holding them back from diving right in and propping up the dead ladder is that they are too scared/socially awkward to find people to queue with?

Hey! I did play in the whole of Cata though! :P Anyways, I see what you mean now. I didn't mean it that literally when I said that PvE was "necessary" in PvP. I meant to say it could offer a very much desirable performance increase (number increase in everything you did, basically) which could sometimes be a heavy deciding factor on who won and who lost an arena match. This - at least as my personal opinion goes - should not be happening. I am ok with needing to farm in an MMO and all that, but I really dislike how big of a number advantage such stuff used to bring to the table.

legendary weapons / DS proc weapons / pve trinkets with broken procs should never have existed in pvp, no-one will argue against that :)

Right now if you're a Duelist quality player and you know you can never get Gladiator there is absolutely zero reason to queue after getting the Ferocious Elite achievement, since you can obtain the same/better gear from Raiding or spamming Mythic+

people queued for fun?

 

there was zero reason for duelists to queue after getting their t2 weapons in previous expansions, but the game still managed to have more then 80k+ people (lolol) queuing arena actively

 

Honestly to this day don't know why people think the game design being bad "killed" arena

current wow game design leads to classes which are incredibly boring and one dimensional, which works well with mythic raiding since every single boss now has 100 phases and 500 abilities for each phase that you need to play around while pressing your 1 2 3 dps rotation

 

pvp, mmo world activities, basically everything in the game that is not mythic raiding, does not have 100 phases and 500 abilities to play around while you press your 3 button dps rotation, leading to those activities becoming boring as fuck to participate in, leading to legion pvp participation levels

something at overwatch or hots most likely, unless they have a secret new IP in development that involves pvp, can't really blame him for leaving a position in a dying game where he gets an incredible amount of unjustified hate

Thats not what i mean. It was the last xpac before holika. He came mid mop so he didnt really have much influence.

Hi guys,

 

I feel like in instanced PvP fire crits are unresponsive this expansion? Like in PvE I'll immediately get hot streak and heating up after crits, but in PvP it feels like I need to verify my crit with 15 servers before I get a response.

Anyone else feel this way?

yup, not just you

 

fire spells in pve have a forced impact time that ignores the spell animation to make procs feel smooth, feels like that was turned off for pvp this expansion for some reason

hi guys, so i was thinking about the next season and the 54 artifact traits being enabled

the 36-54 traits are removed and replaced by a single trait that gives you 10% damage/healing and 10% stamina, there is now an additional rank for every single trait you already have as 3/3 (so 4/4 is the new maximum), plus one completely new 4/4 trait + 1 new 1/1 trait + 1 new golden trait + a new "endless" trait damage proc

 

the cost of the new traits is absolutely fucking huge compared to getting the old 36-54 (if you had 54 traits before 7.2, you will have 39 when 7.2 goes live, 40 if you do mythic +) but we also get new AK
