"There is nothing strange about the fact that lambs bear a grudge towards large birds of prey: but that is no reason to blame the large birds of prey for carrying off the little lambs. And if the lambs say to each other, 'These birds of prey are evil; and whoever is least like a bird of prey and most like its opposite, a lamb, - is good, isn't he?', then there is no reason to raise objections to this setting-up of an ideal beyond the fact that the birds of prey will view it somewhat derisively, and will perhaps say: 'We don't bear any grudge at all towards these good lambs, in fact we love them, nothing is tastier than a tender lamb.' "-Nietzsche (On the Genealogy of Morality)

Tl;dr: A tournament with those organizers and in such a fashion, will never happen again, and if it does, it will once again be ruled as a joke by the community. The next RBG tournament that arises, will be done right, not like this was done, and never like this.

"Blessed are the forgetful: for they get the better even of their blunders."

TL;DR, unfortunate things happened to more than one team in this tournament. Don't act like your team was the only one that got cheated.

The time you lost to Datacus there was a challenge and that match was replayed for you.

Team naz did the same in their series.

When the tables turned and you didnt get your way you cried and made a scene, like the whiney bitch you are, knowing that it would cause drama and drag attemtion to yourself. The commentators and organizers who dedicated their time and effort into making the tournament possible, you know, the REAL ones who give a fuck about something greater than themselves, were berated by the toxic chat and humilated because you created drama.

You also probably fucked your teammates over, who Im sure wanted to play and participate.

For someone who pretentiously boasts about his passion for rbgs and claiming to stand for legitimate conpetition I find that very ironic. You really showed your true colors.

You're an egotistocal, insecure, pathetic, fuckboy. You're a joke. You've managed to fail at the only thing you've achieved mediocrity in.

And now here you are, grasping for more attention like an infant child. Were your parents away from home when you were younger? Did you get rejected by every girl you asked out, is that where your insatiable appetite for weekly online girlfriends comes from too?

For shame, failamos.

Btw, you're not really a world rbg leader, more like a world rbg forfeiter.

Also, I typed this on my phone. Fuck you.

Hey all,

After watching the Gamersleague RBG tourny has anyone been inspired to form an rbg group of their own?

From a spectator PoV i was actually able to watch the whole tournament without being bored to death by common red flags that would occur in Arena tournaments such as; counter comping, long drawn out games and just all around boring cookie cutter strats.

Although obviously the tourny did have some hiccups on the US side of things, the actual games were much more exciting to watch then an arena tournament i feel and i would be really happy to see some more teams step up and play in the next tournament (specifically from EU since the RBG community is quite small here).

It would be really great for the competition to increase on both EU and US and i guess i was just trying to gauge if anyone except from the current RBG try-hards (myself included) found this to be something they would want to take part in a second time around.

His actions are hardly surprising, speaks volumes for his character.

You should take a look at yourself when your RBG leader ddoses and dodges every time he plays the game. Tells a lot about your character by how you sit by and look away.

#4378842 Literally one change that would up the fun in this game by tenfold

Posted Drake on 02 February 2015 - 03:30 PM

That would pretty much double the damage in short windows due to energy pooling, but keep the overall damage rather constant, thanks to limited resources / CDs on abilities.

Bad change. Everything would just flop in a single 5s stun to shit like CS MS WW WW WW WW WW WW or Rake Shred Shred FB Shred Shred Shred FB.

You can shoot a tree in GW2. That's probably why they have 50k satisfied players.

exploiting at the highest levels is almost nonexistant.
"Almost" being a key word here. While I've come to expect fair honorable games from Data and Abn, I can't help but remember Bailamos's team using Ice Floes with Leap of Faith to cap the center node in DWG on us the week before the exploit was fixed. Outside of that I agree with everything you said.

In all seriousness, I do think at a particularly higher rating there is some strategy and skill but overall RBGs generally allow for a much larger margin of error than arena. Generally there is very little individual skill required to do your part in RBGs, skill is measured by damage charts and the team cooperation, its essentially a PvE race. Cross CC? What, you mean the ability to cc 2-3 healers amongst 10 players? It's not hard to CC healers in fights if the players on your team have a brain, but of course that is most of the challenge of RBGs - to get 10 monkeys to do something simple, like holding a base or spinning a flag, or not getting ninja capped on, all of which are simple tasks if you have people with brains.

This could possibly be the dumbest thing I've ever read. Individual skill plays a huge role in RBGs. It is possible to carry a player depending on how well the rest of your team plays, but it's also possible for one poorly skilled individual to ruin the game for nine other players. It goes both ways. Maybe if you're absolutely clueless when it comes to RBGs you can gauge skill by looking at damage charts. That would essentially be the same as RLS vs RLS and determining who was the better Lock based on damage alone - there's way more involved than that. Successfully landing interrupts, juking interrupts, knowing when you push offensively, when to play defensively, kiting melee, when to peel for your healers instead of CCing enemy healers. There's way more skill involved than pressing Shift+Spacebar and looking at damage.

And your "have a brain" argument is completely retarded. Is it hard to CC healers? No, of course not. That's a dumb thing to say. It's also not hard for the other team to CC your healers. It's also not hard to peel for your healers, or the other team to peel for theirs. It's not hard to spin our bases, or for the other team to spin theirs. It's not hard to defend against ninja caps, and it's not hard for the other team to defend against them either. It's not hard to juke interrupts, or land interrupts, or kite melee, or peel for healers, or pillar hump in 3s, or train healers until they die, or slay dragons. Hell, why even play this game when all you need are people with brains?!

The main reason people consider RBGs are a joke is because DDoS, exploiting, and botting is the norm, not the exception, yes even at high ratkngs, in fact ALL THE TIME at high ratings, mainly when the season has gone further along. In addition to DDoS, exploitation of the game is also the norm, by the end of last season every team was required to run with orb bottrs and script botting locks in order to be competitive, not to mention fly hacking, speed glitches, use of items, and many other exploits which run rampant in RBGs.

The first part of this I can agree on. I'm hoping Blizzard eventually does something about the exploiting, fly hacking, and interrupt botting that happens. It's not acceptable and I hope that if enough people speak up against it Blizzard will step up and do something. DDoSing would almost go away (except for a few try-hard ddosers that grab IPs from forums and stuff) if people just stopped using Skype. The argument I hear the most is that there's voice latency in hosted solutions like TeamSpeak (I don't hear it), but you're essentially doing the same thing by choosing to filter your voice through a proxy. The moment you use a proxy it's no longer a direct peer to peer connection - which is why people chose Skype in the first place. And it's Microsoft for God's sake! Why don't we all start using IE too while we're at it?

The second part I don't agree on. Even though those things are a problem, not every team was required to run with script botting Locks, or fly hack, or any other exploits. I was Hero on all 3 of the Warlocks I play and I never use anything scummy at all. I'll plead the 5th on orb botting monks, but everything else I can comfortably say weren't used on my teams and we did just fine.

I'm personally looking forward to watching the tournament. I do find it pretty funny that it's taking place on Valentine's Day weekend, pretty much shrugging off the idea that anyone playing in the tourney or anyone that cares to watch has a girlfriend/wife.
