I consider it a great irony that we are to automatically presume this team's innocence because Kisz is a nice guy, they're Korean, or because Azael titles this thread, "The Truth" followed by an oddly placed semi-colon. I wish to have this noted on a similar topic concerning the presumption of guilt or innocence: Dannycarey is also a nice guy, he's an extremely talented and methodical player, and, he's going to Blizzcon because of it. And yet, I recall watching Azael indict him on stream, without proof, decrying Dannycarey as a, "no-name shitter that cheats". Thus, I challenge Azael and co. to have the decency to tweet, Skype, stream to clear the name of Dannycarey with the same type of publicity (as displayed here) with which they besmirched it.

I have to agree with bailamos here that semicolon was oddly placed for sure.

Posting on behalf of Kisz.

Hello again everyone,

I'm here with very good news today as we just found out that our disqualification has been reverted. I'm sure in no small part due to the efforts of everyone here who supported us.

I'm writing this now to thank everyone who helped us in any way, we truly appreciate it. I was overwhelmed by the responses I received in-game, over Skype and in this thread from all the people sending their regards and support, it means a great deal to me personally to have that many friends be there for me when the chips were down.

Hopefully everyone can see now that we were legitimate and that unfortunately Blizzard does sometimes make mistakes.

I'd like to give a shout to Xarkhorin, a Spanish EU game master who did more for us than any other person at blizzard with whom I spoke, he took the time to properly look into our case and it showed. Thank you.

Hello everyone,

As some of you may know by now the Rank-1 5v5 team on Tichondrius-US (Shindy, Iamzod, Thinkchair, Jyostar & myself (Kisz)) has been disqualified for allegedly participating in "fixed" arena matches.
Email: http://imgur.com/fC5gOC7

I'm writing this post on my teammates behalf with the intention to give our side of the story and refute these claims, nothing more. I will not be crying, flaming, linking Skype logs/screenshots or inciting drama of any kind though it may be a long read. I know that the arena community is not what it once was nor do I expect to change the status quo towards online achievements because I would never be so naïve as to think that I could. For those of you who know me personally either in-game or through my stream I would like to think that you know I would never cheat to get ahead, not in real life nor online. I generally never compete in 5s, It's more often than not a corrupted mess of meaningless ddos, win trading, sniping, paid carries and other such nastiness. This time however it did mean something to me which is why I felt the need to bring this here because I can say with conviction that every single one of the games played on our 5v5 team “dont speak english” was 100% legitimate. I've spoken to the relevant people at blizzard and there is nothing that can be done to reverse the disqualification, that's not what this is about.

On the final night there were 3 other high teams queuing that we knew about from observing in-game.

Team 1;  Novoz, Thugonomics, Veller, Snaregodx & Dannycarey
Team 2; Sodah, Talbadar, Venruki, Karvinen, Kollektiv & Nadagast
Team 3; Hansol, Dibz, Takenotez, Shapez & Dotatko (apologies if I misspelled any of your names, I feel like you probably don't all have “z” at the end haha)

Events as they happened from our point of view:

TLDR; We played against 2 games against 2 different teams on the final night (Hansol and Novoz) and beat them both legitimately, all parties involved know that there was no foul play and should be able to testify as such. We queued up that night not knowing who we would fight or what the outcome would be.

-We played consistently throughout the season with multiple different people, attaining and holding R1 for a significant portion of the season.
-Going into the last few weeks Team 1 overtook us and we proceeded to leap frog up in rating, eventually ending with our team at 2642 and theirs slightly lower.
-In the following days they queued up and also landed on 2642. We were tied, we accepted that with the knowledge that if any other teams were to approach that rating we would simply queue up again.
-Going into the final day of the season our teams were still equal and that night everybody was online. We knew that Team 2 was queuing and we were waiting to see how they did.
-Team 2 and Team 3 queue into each other 3(?) times and Team 2 is now approaching our rating, we decide to queue up.
-We play Team 3 and win.
-We queue up, we play Team 1 and win. Our rating is now 2673. This is where we ended at.
-Team 3 stops queuing and disbands their team. (found out about this later)
-Team 1 and Team 2 now queue against each other multiple times to try and catch up with our rating. We do not queue at this time because there is no need to until the winner of this series is decided, we had a significant lead.

Fast forward to the final hour and at that point we knew that Team 1 had beaten Team 2 and were close to our rating but we were unable to locate them in-game to check their arena rating. We decided to queue up with very little time left until the server downtime and face Team 1, we kill a member of their team but the server goes down before the game has ended, no points awarded or subtracted from either team. There was no way for us to know what their rating was, we didn't know who was higher until the next day when the armoury came up.

As my final thoughts I'd like to say that I met the Korean team through doing arena on Tich, I live in the UK, they live in Korea and we're both playing on US servers. Despite being across the world from each other, playing in three different time zones and not speaking the same language we were able to connect and enjoy WoW together, this is why I’ve always appreciated the internet and online gaming. The community is what both makes this game great and at the same time threatens it the most. I was very privileged to get to play with them, they are all great people and regardless of this disappointing outcome they earned their rank 1spot on Tichondrius playing arena how it was intended to be played by being friendly, enjoying their time playing and above all being fair and honest in the process.

I appreciate those of you who still make WoW enjoyable and thank you for taking the time to read this wall of text. Best of luck in Season 14.

P.S. It will always be harder to be kind and decent, especially online, but don't think for a second that it's not worth it. Better believe that.

#3936595 Corruption in the Department of Justice!

Posted Pandalol on 10 September 2013 - 06:03 AM

So as I'm sure you all know, there has been some funny business, as there always is at the end of the season with a certain employee of the DOJ. This of course is everyone's favorite paladin, Rambojohny. It all starts as most arena stories do, with a bit of win trading. Rambo, ever thirsty for that elusive Rank 1 title, decided to trade with "FUN TIME JENNA" a game a piece to land on a rank 1 tie with "boys are back in town."

However, Rambo and this team have a volatile relationship, so he sent an envoy to speak on his behalf. Ryanz extended the Tyrannical Gladiators Olive Branch to Fadezz, only to be completely ignored:

Diplomacy isn't always the answer, so this of course meant war. Another round of wintrading was scheduled to go down, but this time the wool was pulled over our hero Rambo's eyes and he was left high and dry. A 1-1 wintrade turned into a 1-0 DDOS and dip, leaving him down 8 points and without a paddle. "Not this time" whispered Rambo, quivering with rage. Desperate times often call for desperate measures, and it was time for Johny to talk not with his gaming, but with his wallet.

The following is an AJ private message pow wow with Zunniyaki and Rambo. I won't even say anymore, let the pictures speak for themselves:
Of course, Zunniyaki turned down this illustrious offer. 0/2 there Ramby.

Deplorable. Despicable. Just downright dirty. The Department of Justice are supposed to be pillars of Honor and Integrity. Rambo being among this elite cadre, even if only in a Janitorial capacity, should be absolutely ashamed of himself. But our big spender doesn't stop there. He approached Poppychulo, inquiring about DDOS or hacked team disband services for $1000. Reedz was asked to wintrade, despite being on a non linked BG (smooth Rambo). And of course there was the money proposal to seestraightz that backfired as previously mentioned.

Obviously this is nothing new to RamboJohny, but its always nice to see the proof and the stories. So please gentleman, do your part in assuring that Rambo receives proper punishment. Cheating never wins.

#3934609 US-Emberstorm 3v3 (s13)

@ Noxity

I don't know who you think you are but you can accuse me and my team of win trading all you want. Not only is it simply your word against ours (due to your lack of proof), but you lack a lot of credibility due to no experience and a bunch of QQing on about the Emberstorm ladder because you are hyped up about getting your first 2600 as ret hunter disc, just like every other ret hunter.

Posted Image

^ I could say the very same to you in this image, fyi.

Since I'm a nice guy I'm going to give you a few lessons just this one time.

First of all everyone makes mistakes, and as a warrior when you get full Hoj'd and there are no CD's popped on you, you expect you can sit the HoJ, ya you should trinket and rally if you get low, as trinket isn't on GCD, obviously, but he was surprised that in the last two seconds of the stun the ret's cd's were able to global him, and the fear that followed his trinket prevented him from using rally (obviously a mistake because he was scrambling around but like I said everyone screws up).

I don't know if you guys think you play every game perfect, or what, but you need to keep in mind that you are playing ret hunter and I am surprised that you imply that you outplay much of anything with that comp, especially a KFC. KFC is one of the weakest hunter cleave comps at the moment, there just isn't enough CC or damage to match jungle, ret hunter, phd (kfc beats phd in cc arguably but obviously not damage), etc. But when you land a win on a team, it doesn't always mean you so much out played them as out comp, especially as of late, fyi.

Okay so my KFC on Emberstorm was the highest rated KFC in the world s13 from when we began playing, all the way until kind of recently, when MMR inflation kicked in. Prior to 5.3 we seem to do better, even though KFC was even weaker at the time (warriors would die a lot easier, and lots of RPS's were running around which was a sort of even match up / slightly in the RPS's favor, maybe), but we played some after the patch and took a bit of a break. I joined a couple teams on other toons, and my hunter and I played 5's on KT with my druid. Long story short, there were random things / terrible reasons that kept us from queuing our main KFC on Emberstorm for a long time. We still plan to push, because why not, and have planned to all this time, despite our procrastination. But in case you didn't know about the scientific discovery, when you stop doing something for a long time, you tend to get a little bit rusty, meaning you don't play as well.

But our first time queuing in FOREVER on our Emberstorm KFC was last week, and it just so happened to be a Monday. We queue'd 1 game vs an RMP and almost lost (it came down to a 2v3 and we still won) vs Vaze Djmacdaddy etc while they were 2500 MMR. It was a close game so we stopped.

Then the next time we queued was the other night on Monday because we were all on and not busy, I wasn't queuing with any of my other teams, etc. It was labor day weekend, so it doesn't even seem suspicious to me, but yeah. And on top of it all we were queuing from like 5pm until 10pm ish... But I guess going up 10 rating for a night is suspicious for 5 hours of queuing, especially when it means the difference between whether or not we get glad (lol), or r1. Those 10 points are vital to meeting our goals, obviously.

But yeah at the end of the day you can think what you like, but you would be foolish to ignore the things I pointed out here, I think. But as for what I've told you previously, I'm going to snipe you all I can and take a bunch of SS's of your team of inbred's getting farmed by Bailamostar, lmao; that's what you get for sniping me and then accusing me of trading on top of it, I'll be keeping you dogs on your leashes.

Next time just bite your tongue though, you have no exp, no knowledge, no name, no grounds, nothing that gives you the right or capability of saying / doing these things and it just puts a big target on your back to be ridiculed.

Hello ArenaJunkies.

I want to provide something for the whole community involving RBGs. Something that doesn't involve sitting 10 minute queues to face the 1400 rated guild group from Vek'Nilash Horde.

I'd imagine this is easily remedied by queuing when other teams queue instead of being a shook ass nigga.

P.S 5 stars get at me peasants.
