#2876190 what monitor?

Posted Pharaun on 06 December 2010 - 06:11 PM

LED backlit offers less power draw, and better "true black" colors, since you don't have what is essentially a giant fucking lightbulb pointing at you from behind the screen.

It's probably still more expensive right now.  Also, I have no idea how it performs for gaming type stuff, just for TVs.

Also @ OP: get 2 monitors! :)

#2779253 How do you Gear up faster?

Posted voted on 02 November 2010 - 02:32 AM

So, before patch 4.0.1, I would farm up Furious, hit the arena up to 1800 and grab t1, then up to 2k etc etc.

Anyway so in order to get Furious or the starter gear it was quicker and cheaper to farm up Badges for Helm/Chest/Legs, as it is easier to snag up 75 Badges then it was 50k when I could snag up Wrathful off set etc.

So anyway now that honor was mad nerfed etc, anyone have some suggestions on gearing out a fresh 80 now that 4.0.1 is out and my pre-4.0.1 plan no longer works ;(

What are you guys doing to gear up fast?

Brah, every achiv in the game..thats a feat in itself but then i saw how many feats of strength you have 74...holy fuck I know its not as impressive as it would be on a US server but still its quite surprising you must blend in with the Russian snow my friend wow.

#2042156 PvPers never get anything new?

And it's something they have never done anything about.

Not necessarily true.  They gave resiliences bonuses for wearing 4 piece pvp, now you rarely (I concede that its not always true) see people wearing more than 1 piece pve mainset.

They also doubled the benefit of resilience and gave it damage reduction across the board.

Theyre just REALLY really slow at doing things, especially when it involves repercussions attached to PvE.  This is frustrating, given the revenue Blizzard (Activision) has been accumulating throughout the history of WoW.  From the outside, it definitely seems like they could hire a few extra developers and still keep it a tight niche group.  If anybody has ever had to call Blizzard's support or billing line, the wait is usually longer than your local DMV office (pathetic) and GM responses are painfully long.

It is bizarre, though, that they've acknowledged the reason why they cant buff warlocks in PvE is due to PvP reasons.  It just seems like theyre bipolar when it comes to their concerns with PvP.  Hunters have been generously out of control for a couple seasons and I suspect their (seemingly) unwillingness to make a change is due to PvE concerns.

This game IS prioritized for PvE and I think most pvpers have accepted it.  It would be nice, however, to make a few servers (lols PvP servers??) prioritized for PvP first, where the PvE concerns get tossed out the window and the game is balanced around PvP.  Still roll out PvE content if you want, just dont care about the lock whos Dps is low considering theyre a "true" class.  Dont care about the Arms warrior qqing about how his raid dps is lower than fury, or that discipline priests are considerably worse in most icc fights than a holy priest.

Not really a fan of playing with down syndrome peeps, but with the 20 minute queues I have to sit in, I can't really complain.

#1561912 Reputation System Reinstated

Posted Rapture on 03 December 2009 - 04:43 PM

Thanks to some feedback from Sallice, we have decided to reinstate the reputation system.

We're testing the system to see how it works and how we need to fine tune the current system.

How it works:
  • You can give someone positive or negative reputation for a post in most of the content related forums by clicking the scales in the upper right corner of the post.Posted Image

  • We are currently excluding the Rant Room, BG forums, Name Change, Off Topic, and Guild Recruitment from the reputation system. You also gain reputation as your post count increases and as a function of your length of membership here on AJ.

  • Leaving reputation is currently anonymous.

  • Reputation is displayed under your teams in your postbit. You can hover over the green or red icons to get a description of the reputation level of that user.

  • Clicking the scales icon on your own post will display your current reputation points.

  • As you gain reputation your reputation power increases and when you leave reputation for another user it is worth more for or against them.

  • This is NOT a substitute for reporting posts. If a post is breaking the rules report it. You can also give negative reputation to that post, but remember to report it as well.

The site rules have been updated. There is a new infraction for insulting users through the rep system.

Insulting Posts
- 1 pt - Reputation Comments - Any reputation comment that personally insults or harasses the poster. When down repping, leave a reason.

Reports of a violation should come to me as a PM.

Let us know what you guys think. Thanks for the suggestion Sallice.
