#3615204 A Plea to the Twitch Streamers

Posted Giantfoamhat on 16 January 2012 - 04:51 AM

First off, thank you for streaming and for the entertainment.  All of your viewers learn a lot and have a good time.  We all understand you do this under your own volition and, for the most part, do it for very little money.  But please take some advice.  You will get many more followers and viewers if you follow what the SC2 and LoL streamers do with their commercials.  They play one every 20 minutes or so.

Now, I know you guys make money off of each commercial per viewer, but you will get more viewers if you play less ads.  I refuse to download adblock to fix this problem because I support you guys and other streamers.  But do not take advantage of me and the other faithful viewers.  Part of the fun and entertainment is to hear you guys bs or work out strats in between queues.  Instead, each of you play a commercial.  It comes out to one commercial about every 4 minutes.

Original does a really good job with his ad plays.  But other like Snutz, Hood, and Talb....not so much.  Just try to hold back on the ads and play one every 15-20 minutes.  You will attract more viewers.

Good luck and keep streaming.  Thanks.

Biggest imbalance I've ever seen in 11 seasons of arena.

Either:
- Remove it from Preparation
- Add a 75 energy cost to it
- Or disable it in arena

Anything less won't suffice.

#2028380 Are spellcleaves, and specifically Warlocks, overlooked?

Affliction needs very high damage to be a viable spec.  That's been the design of the tree since BC.  Very high overall damage, at the cost of practically zero burst and mediocre single-target damage.  As a part-time affliction wizard cleaver myself, my ele shaman does, conservatively, 70% of the burst target's hp, my dots might do 30%.  If you're just looking at the end-game stats and thinking "locks do too much damage," you really have no idea what happened during the game.

Quote

Warlocks: We do all the hard work to set up kill targets, switches and crowd control.

Every other DPS: Hit tab, hit your burst button, finish off a target.

Hell, every other class should be thanking warlocks because without their control and pressure they can put on multiple targets most of these "wizard cleave" setups wouldn't work.

This thread was pretty much over after these two posts.

No offense but I think this system is too much work for people to actually use. If it were possible to have simple up and down arrows with a post rating (Like Reddit or Gameriot.) it would probably get some more use :P.
Yeah.
