#4451705 Remove mages from the game

You're a stupid moron if you think you'll get any sympathy on this board from anyone with a pulse and an IQ that's above the number of current temperature in the room. Hunters have gradually had their weaknesses removed over the course of expansions, and at one point you've reached the point where you were the most disgusting class in the game, that got equal, if not more hate, than fucking mages. Your entire class mechanics are super easy, and are only gated by CD numbers and dmg % on abilities.

Seeing a Hunter whine about something is like seeing a fat rich spoiled kid from the neighbourhood complaining to his parents that a neighbour got a specific toy, while he himself has 99% of toys out there. Out of all the Hunters on this forum, the only one I've saw with a brain and a personality that doesn't rival one of a 10 year old is Dillypoo.

Your opinions are either a 100% success or a 100% failure. Regarding Mages, you're dangerously wrong 99% of time, mostly because you're heavily biased towards them ( let's be real here, Mages were always super annoying towards Paladins in any form ).

You seem to think that a class being irreplacable and good all the seasons is somehow a bad thing ?

By mentioning ( and defending ) extra DK trinkets, you're defending fucking HORRIBLE game design.

8 second CD on Poly would kill the class, in its current form. Unlike Affliction Warlocks, Warriors, DKs, Hunters, etc etc - Mages don't do passive damage required to actually kill someone without CCing them.

And imagine if Mages/Warlocks had all the tools those classes had. Such comparisons are awful, we're not yet at the point where all classes are homogenized, thank fuck for that. Different classes require different mechanics, stop being biased.

What Mages need to have done to them is simple.

And as for dispel system, there's a really cool idea I had about it a while ago. We're talking about Mages here, so I'll mention a mage. What if dispel worked like this : Mage applies Poly to your partner. You dispel Poly off him, your dispel goes on a cooldown, same way it does now. Mage applies Poly to the same target again, your dispel cooldown gets reset. Basically, if a same debuff is applied a short while after you've dispelled it ( let's say, a 3 second grace period ), your dispel resets once. Mage applies Poly, you dispel Poly. Druid applies Entangling roots right after you dispelled Mage's Poly, your dispel cooldown doesn't get reset, because it's a different debuff.

It'd mirror Wrath dispel system a bit, without being Wrath dispel system. The grace period where your dispel gets reset after the same debuff is applied to the target once again would probably have to be around 2-3 seconds, and it'd probably have a 15 second internal cooldown, to mirror the DR of CCs.

oh, and just fyi : I'd defend every other class ( except Hunters ) the same way I'm defending Mages right now - do you know why ? Because most of the time the community is wrong and is acting like an inbred 5 year old that has no clue about any solid game design, and just wants a certain class removed from the face of the earth, until another OP class pops up, and the fucking circle keeps on happening

#3795867 Chaos Bolt nerf in 5.1

Posted saffie on 27 October 2012 - 07:07 PM

^this guy is playing KFC and lurking warlock forums because he met a destro warlock once in arena and got owned because he is too shit to see the chaos bolt coming, now all he does is run around and whine about one of the lowest tier classes on their forums and flex that he managed to get high rating with the cheesiest comp where they more or less bring the healer as an accessory even though the best he has managed so far is duelist.

+rep if you agree.

gl having your hunter peel/cc for you if there are dots on his target.. there are times where you can dot 2 people yeah, but in most cases its just easyer to play safe and just blow something up after the healer is out of cd's.

The only peel not able to be used on a target when it has dots on it is scatter. Cyclone, fear, deathcoil, pet pin, cyclone, pet freedom for lock can all be used. But honestly do you know what the best peel is for a warlock with melee on it? Shitting all over its chest. If a melee is putting out heavy pressure on my warlock im destroying it while putting my scatters into the healer and silences into the opposing caster dps.

If its a double cleave team good job letting a hunter freecast on your team and Im basically locking out the other teams healer by myself, 1 legit peel will relieve the pressure on your warlock and give your druid time to get a cyclone or two off and by then one of the cleaves should be in serious trouble. It sounds like you just need a hunter thats got your back ;D
