Hello. In the last couple of days I've gotten around to play WLD again (yay, been looking for a team since S6), but to my surprise, it hasn't been such a jolly experience as I wished it would be.
To me it seems like Arena gear and PvE gear just don't scale with eachother.
You can look at it like this: From S5 to now, arena gear has improved by 25% (fictional numbers to show a point), while PvE gear has improved by 50%. And considering how easily PvE gear currently is attainable, everybody's just running around with 3k spell power unbuffed, 700 haste, 100% passive ArP and whatnot, whereas the PvP gear doesn't provide nearly as good benefits.
We kept meeting an RMP team tonight, granted they were all Furious Glads, they really didn't seem like anything extraordinary and had pretty standard play.
In one of the games, I got a full sheep because I messed up with intercept cooldown, I thought it'd be fine, as the rogue was cycloned and everybody from my team at full HP. After the cyclone, though, the rogue and mage get on my druid, when I get out of the 5-6 remainding seconds of sheep I intervene him, get lucky enough to take the kidney shot from him, but my druid still dies despite popping every cooldown.
Now this has been happening all the time in different ways and on different players (usually not me, as I am the only one on the team with some sort of "bubble"), and it seems like there's nothing I/we can do about it, no matter how much we peel. I even trinket 2 secs on a frost nova to intercept a cast, intervene a something and disarm somebody, still doesn't matter.
My druid gets killed by a DK and warrior just training him, even though he has full hots on all the time and I keep slowing, charging and intervening them.
When I played this setup to approx. 2700 last season, we did not face these problems at all. To me it seems like S7 at its current state is like a mini-S5, where everything just gets oneshot.
Thank you for letting me get rid of all these frustrations.
Now, basically what I'm asking is:
1) Is WLD simply a too f'cking utter shit comp now to play properly? (Not saying it's useless, it can beat a lot of comps, but many more counter it tbh.)
2) Is this game (PvE/PvP gear, burst on switches etc.) out of control?
3) Or something else?
Thank you for reading, Gracle.
P.S: Me getting CC'ed is not the problem most of the time, I think. I catch pretty much every spell reflection, and the ones I can't get I usually charge / shield bash etc or get dispelled out of.
Edit: Don't forget to +rep if you found what I said true. Thank you.
You must start by running to the room of the three gargoyles. Push in the correct tongue, and a door will lead them down a staircase into the wall climb. Here, you must choose the next path. You could race up to the observatory, spin the sundial, and pass into the room of the golden idols. Once there, you could push down on their bases to release the doors that may take them below or lead them into the shring of the Silver Monkey. If you assemble the statue there, you may be headed for the torch room. If the elevator is up, they could jump into the elevator and descend into the mineshaft. You can climb up the ladder or plow through the stone wall. Find the key, and it may unlock the tombs of the Ancient Kings, allowing you to climb into the Spider's Lair. If you escape, you may have a chance to sit upon the Throne of the Pretender. If the correct door is unlocked, you will be able to crawl into the pit of despair and finally make their way through the cave of sighs back to the temple gate. Good luck on your quest.
I believe that another system should be added to the website where you can +/- Rep people on the forums. With this addition, people can rep depending if they find comments left by the poster helpful or just trolling and this can ultimately assist in keeping the quality of the information on this site up to the highest degree.
With more helpful information to the website, that will bring in more frequent visits to the website because people find it more useful to log in and read through the forums and it can also add in a fun little system that regular posters can generally enjoy by wanting to gain reputation points and thus causing them to make enjoyable or informative posts.
Currently most people just look through a person's previous gladiator history title but as many people know, that doesn't mean a lot much of the time. With a reputation system, when you read someone with a high reputation value, you can almost be guaranteed that you will be reading advice or information worthwhile of your time.
TLDR: Add in reputation system which I think will increase the quality of this site.
