LoL! I got glad after only playing wow for 3 months total 3 years ago, and I can tell you that WoW is 10x easier for a lock now. You used to need 3-4 full pages of binds, now they dumbed the game down to needing only a few spells. The micro / outplay potential was way higher back then, now it's pretty obvious what to do at all times whereas back then you had way more options of outplay.
This fucking guy
Played for for only 3 months 3 years ago and is still visiting a world of warcraft arena related website to this day
I'm having to relearn a lot of stuff after not playing for like 6 years.
It took me like 250 games to get to 2150 with trying a lot of different comps. If they tone down cleaves then I think locks are really going to be strong. They are already really good in a few comps right now.
I'm not really a big fan of how affliction plays right now compared to past eras, but I'll always main a warlock good or bad.
Return Shadowflame as a baseline spell or reintroduce CoEX, it's that simple.
As for other classes doing higher damage, /shrug. Warlocks lost the mobility-while-doing-damage aspect of the class, and need to be stationary to deal any sort of significant damage, but our spread is still pretty good. I dunno, problem is Fear being completely ignorable by other teams right now, it makes zero impact with being 6 sec duration and breaking on wind breezing.
Casters ACTUALLY have to cast now it's amazing right. Back on planet earth.
It may feel week compared to what it was like in MOP because they were literally gods.
Now you actually have to work and fake cast to maintain dots.
This is bullshit. Yes, the game is in a much better state when the most powerful abilities are the ones that have counterplay. It sounds great on paper, but it was executed in an absolutely laughable manner. Powerful instant CC was removed, but instead of backing off on it across the board, it was really only removed from casters, and even at that, only removed from some casters.
Aff locks are a perfect example of this. We lost all of our utility, most of our instant-cast control options, and our iconic control spell is nerfed nearly to the point of uselessness. Ele shamans are also useless low-damage crap turrets. Mages, on the other hand, get ice nova (albeit at the expense of everything else, but it's still crazy strong). Moonkins get all of their instant casts and utility too. What did DKs lose? Nothing.
Funnier still is the fact that not only did melee get to retain most of their immense, uncounterable lockdown, they also got to hang onto most/all of their CC breaks, and even gained some.
The whole idea of having to set up and play around getting off your big damage/high impact abilities is real pretty to say, but was obviously totally fucking botched in this expansion, and I'm not even going to lie, you're a douche for even attempting to make it seem OK. You have a handful of classes (all casters, mind you) that have to play 4 times better to get their abilities off, and then even if they pull it off, the reward is lower than some retard hunter flying around the map spamming his damage rotation and nonstop instant CC.
Reported this thread, just a gigantic QQ. You're playing with Filovirus, that's your problem. He didn't instantly tongues the mage/counterspell his first frostbolt/howl the rogue, your rogue didn't bother to open with a garrote on either the mage, or a cheapshot on their rogue. Overall you 1v3'd a RMP and expected to win.
