#3816663 Something that may help you as a warrior

Posted Duncan on 06 December 2012 - 11:18 PM

Hey guys so I am bringing some videos that I made earlier on that I believe can help some of you on a warrior. I recently started streaming, and wanted to see how if people would like my videos so I bring these to you let me know if they help, and feel free to subscribe for more videos soon.

PS. ignore the gag order glyph it is the only part that is really outdated in the videos, and everything else is still correct post 5.1 in my opinion.

MoP Talents, and Glyphs

MoP Mods that I use, and how I set them up

www.twitch.tv/norrbok that you can follow when I stream if you like there are also past broadcasts of WLS, and TSG post 5.1 at 2500+ MMR, and rating.  Hopefully this helps some of you I was getting a lot of whispers  about this since I have been streaming, and I just wanted to post it somewhere for some people to have easy access.

My contribution

#3804987 Blizzard about MMR exploit.

Posted Xandyn on 14 November 2012 - 05:32 PM

They will not reset the ladder, because the majority of WoW 'PvP' players are 1600-2200 rated, and those players will start crying once they see their rating gone.

I assume, that they concluded - only 10-15% of WoW PvP players participated in the exploit, another 10%~ got affected by this exploit, because they got fed. That leaves 60-70%+ WoW PvP players that would just get their rating reset for no reason, they would receive way more complaints from the said players.

What is right to 'us', is not always right for the low level PvP players, players that possibly didn't even have a clue about this exploit, and since you should all know by now; Blizzard caters the game changes and decisions towards the mass of people, not to a small amount of certain individuals like the AJ community.

In the end, Blizzard decision - not to reset the ladder, makes them lose the least amount of money possible within a bad situation at hand, less unhappy customers. And you think it's them being dumb, nope, they're just being smart as they've always been, milking WoW for whatever $$$ there's left in it. Admit it, the $$$ is coming from all those 1600-2200 rating or PvE players, not the people registered to AJ forums.

Move on, or live with the 'great' game that you play

In my own experience and opinon 3 dps takes as much effort as any other comp when you reach higher ratings.

Watch the clip, listen carefully to what you're actually saying in the game. For those who dont understand swedish I can translate it to you.

"I saced you",
"you can go in".
"Silenced the druid",
"monkey blind... he melded it."
"Got trap instead."
"plz come on, hes dead nice." *orgasm* *breath heavily*
"im litterally shaking right now"

best part comes now - "Sniped.. you little cunt, heh"

you were the ONLY one talking before the first guy died, do you honestly feel like it takes a lot of effort to be successful as tripple dps with the right gear?

#3681772 class balance and flamers

Posted Filovirus on 10 April 2012 - 09:15 AM

Before you read my post, I would just like to say that this post is in no way meant to be elitist, I am just making a statement about the community and game.

It is really unfortunate to see so many people trying to make claims regarding what comps are "tier 1" or "tier 2" without actually being able to play at that level themselves.

The biggest problem with this community is that everyone assumes they are always playing to the best of their class/spec's abilities. No one can take a step back to consider that just -maybe- they aren't at a top tier level of play. Everyone talks shit, everyone thinks they are right, it is unfortunate.

Here is an example. Talb's Shadowplay is by far the best Shadowplay in this game. This is not open to debate. However, I guarantee there are a LOT of players that run this comp and make claims and assumptions about the viability of Shadowplay. They firmly believe that they are playing the comp properly, and every loss is because of some sort of game imbalance or something they believe to be overpowered.

Here is another example, for those of you that are familiar with Starcraft 2.

A diamond league Zerg player is continually losing to a Protoss player that goes all-in. The Zerg player doesn't have the apm or build down to prevent this. The Zerg player determines that because he cannot think of a way to win, Protoss must be completely overpowered and it can never lose to Zerg. He doesn't take a second to think about -his- level of play. At a Grand Master's level of play, every Zerg knows what to do if they see a Protoss is going to all-in. They have much better micro and apm to make this possible, as well as much more practice.

TLDR: Until you play x comp or y class at a top level of play, you are not a credible source of information on said topic. Try new strategies, adjust your playstyle, or change your gear/spec/glyphs. Keep an open mind. There is almost always something you can do to change the outcome of a matchup. I have encountered very very few matchups that are unable to overcome a disadvantage to pull out wins. This applies to RLS, DKLS, LSD2, and Shadowplay. I promise you it applies to various non-lock/shaman compositions too.

Edit: Yes, there are a few classes that are simply not competitive right now. Warriors are definitely bottom of the barrel when it comes to DPS classes, and Holy Paladins + Resto Druids are not good whatsoever.

#3685113 Merkx 1 - Warriors Don't Suck

Posted aquatics on 15 April 2012 - 07:15 AM

Hey guys this is my first pvp video and I'm pretty nervous about releasing it. Warriors aren't in a great state where I can show off myself doing cool stuff in arena. The way you play the class now is very simple and straightforward, you just do as much damage as you can and CC if you find the time.

With this in mind sit back and enjoy me playing against some of the highest rated and best teams on Kel'Thuzad.

Saw you on the AJ rankings and i was actually gonna hit you up in game.  I ran into a wall closing in on 2500 running WLP and ended up multi comping MLP to push the team into the glad bubble.  Played a few matches as WMP seeing as its the comp im most familiar with, but WLP seemed the strongest to me.

Do not talk about anything like you actually achieved it I am aware that in the last day filovirus has done like roughtly 5+ carries using a warlock named shinafae, and guess what that warlock appeared on your team so do not try to give faulty information bro sorry.

Oh and also the fact that once they got you into PR they didnt play with you? They played MLP....and then it was probably not you in the first place since your the one who achieved 2400 5 days ago literally man this forum really has gotten unbelievable lol

Right guys all I want is attention because I posted this in the warrior forums, and not the more general forums what a joke lets just waste another thread on here, because the post is to find out what comps warriors ran to get gladiator this season because people are wanting to know what comps will be good next season........ and obviously with minimal changes whatever comps did well this season are sure to improve next season, but seriously thanks for your lack of knowledge on the subject, and ill-formed opinion on the matter it helps.

Is it really necessary to pollute this forum with your bizarre dick measuring contest about who plays this game less?

Protip, if you want people on AJ to think you don't play WoW then don't post here.
