Fcuking blizzard consistently making the same mistakes over and over and over again.
They should've wait a saw how 70% armour ignore worked(inline with subs ignore). If it was still too powerful they could nerf it again.
Instead they nerfed it huge, 50% is alot! Then when warriors turn to shit it will take months to fix and they'll fix them in the wrong way.
They really need pvp devs that know what the fuck they are doing.
Warrior damage right now is absurbed but rouge burst doesn't feel that behind when coupled with thier control, yet they see nothing but buffs....
Warriors are going to sink like the titanic if they don't camp rating.
These buff/nerf cycles are pretty retarded. They're not even making little tweaks to improve balance. They're making sweeping changes every patch so the game changes completely and are forcing people to find new comps. Priests went from being absolutely terrible to pretty good while paladins went from great to terrible. Shadow priests are about to be extinct.
I'm not saying warrior damage didn't need to be tweaked, but I don't think people realize how big of a nerf this is. When a class brings only damage, nerfing their damage by 25-30% will cripple them. This is equivalent to making polymorph, ring of frost and novas all be 2s shorter and having frostbolts do 20% less damage.
Warriors are pretty dominant in the 2200 bracket, where most players are still not experienced enough /or lack any coordination/ to handle the damage.
While the damage we can put out is absolutely atrocious at times, and needs fixing, It's pretty much the only thing we've got left. So yeah, as long as we don't get a viable working utility the damage should stay where it is. Nerfing CS and increasing overall damage outside of CS is a way to go, albeit not a perfect one. We need some amount of passive ARP that will make it so we're not outright useless vs plate targets (hi tbc), and we're not stupidly overpowered vs clothies if left alone; say 20%, not WOTLK values where some PvE champs run around capped.
So, yeah, to sum it up - I agree warriors are OP for the 2200-2400 bracke; I hardly think warriors are so great after 2600, though. Not bad, not great. Far bigger imbalances out there, yo.
Meanwhile resto druids are the undisputed best healer for yet another season, rogues hit almost as hard as warriors with triple the mobility and survivability and utility, and frost mages are still the most undeservedly martyred class since s7 deathknights
and honestly, they arent that hard to kill or peel during cds.
