#4610587 Melee classes need damage nerfs

Posted by Eowynnz on 12 October 2016 - 08:30 PM

most of this is pretty agreeable. mutilate rogues need a lot more than 10% nerf and i don't know if enhance is as insane as you think it is, although NA has no good shamans to judge off of

o ya forgot. frost dmg nerf and small resto druid buffs

Enhancement shamans are pretty okay, until they pop their shit. Then you roll the dice and see if you get deleted from the map, or pop spirit link in time so your whole team goes to 20%.

Only thing they should do is to bring the possibility to heal pet with death coil back, the fucker dies all the time.

I saw this post on the frontpage and thought of you. And then it is you. You suck.

Just give DKs more death grips and a root removal.

#4606486 Legion S1 Meta Predictions

Posted by Eowynnz on 23 September 2016 - 09:10 AM

Yeah! The changes to the pvp system in Legion piqued my interest so I wanted to give it a try. Having a great time so far and that's even without pvp'ing much ^_^
Obviously all the people I used to play with are long gone so it's nice seeing a familiar name; could maybe do some 3s some time if you'd like! I'll PM you my battletag

How are you still alive?

#4532769 Give titles based on seasonal rating

Posted by Eowynnz on 02 November 2015 - 04:23 PM

Why/why not?

It would promote more active playing on the ladder, less alts, and wouldn't be much different from the current camping system.

Another "prove that Jaime is a dumb individual" thread.

It has been proven. Can we get his annoying ass banned again so people will lack drama, bring jaime back and once he starts all pompous again, just ban him for another couple of days and repeat the cycle.

There can only be one at the time though. I have a theory Levidia, Lopez and jaime is the same person. Someone else will take his spot if he disappears.

You have to pay taxes on all earnings, so if you're dodging taxes on boosts you're breaking the law. Might as well sell heroin then ))

#4518825 Ban advertisements of boosting sites?

Posted by Eowynnz on 11 October 2015 - 05:00 PM

How are they victims?

The drug user who voluntarily decides to use a substance is a victim? A farmer voluntarily producing the materials needed for his own profit is a victim? Who is hurt in the "drug-Trafficking" business?

Ok, here it is. I happened to be close to a whiteboard.

This is what you want your player curve to look like. In a healthy system, this is the optimal player distribution. To make it easier to understand, here is a graph of how difficult rating is to achieve:

Posted Image

Key points:
- Top percentage of players can get gladiator/R1
- No "jumps" in difficulty eases learning process.
- Steady progression throughout most of the experience, while still awarding top players with rewards.

When you get boosting, you essentially get this around key rating bumps:
Posted Image

Less than the 0.5% and 0.1% of individuals actually gets big rewards. The difficulty of rating acquisition graph is going to look like this:

Posted Image

Here you get a more linear curve to begin with, as there's on average less players, and more high skilled players fare in the lower brackets. There's jumps around the gladiator spot, and the distance towards max skill decreases as you approach R1.

Key points:
- Smaller percentage of individuals get Gladiator/R1
- Faster increase in skill requirement and skill jumps makes arena more daunting.
- High skill players fare in low skill bracket, creating many negative experiences for new players.

Overall you get the problem that arena is less "fun" to begin with, the learning process is more difficult and getting high-level rewards seem more unattainable.

Killing someone with a rock and killing someone with a Satellite Ion Cannon is essentially the same. They end up dead because you wanted them dead. Key word here being 'wanted'. The drive has to exist inside of the individual in order for him to do it. So saying "I did it because I had a gun" Is really saying "I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't one", which might be true for a small percentage of crimes, but for most people its just an obstacle which they can bridge with the first sharp and solid object they lay their eyes on. Redirecting your responsibility for the crime by claiming that its because of the availability of the guns is what people tend to do in USA whenever there is a shooting. Look how far that denial has gotten them. Root of the problem isn't the availability of guns, its the state of mind of individuals who do it.

Sure. Great argument. I really want to build an F16-fighter jet. I'll probably get around to it, but I'm quite sure I'm more likely to do so if getting the blueprint is easy as fuck. And there's no way I'll change my mind before I get around to acquiring it. Nope.

You never acted on impulse and figured out later it was a bad idea?
