Not too happy about this change, energy management feels so tedious.
I don't see how it will be tedious.
Hunters have long been an outlast+efficiency class that wins games by being virtually unkillable by melee(frost trap+flare+entrapment basically negates every rogue cooldown, warriors have to spec prot to charge out of roots)and now in wotlk, casters too -- deterrence basically stops all wizard cleave burst dead in its tracks etc -- so I think what we're seeing now is that many Hunters are afraid to be placed on the level of feral druids/mutilate rogues where their game is based on energy rather than mana.
Time for a taste of your own medicine, Hunters! :D
Okay - so, per Aimlessgun's suggestion, I created a resilience detecting addon last night. It is in very early development - but I decided to release it to ArenaJunkies nonetheless. Posting it in it's own thread (though in the arena tournament forums, as this was where I first saw the suggestion) to give it more attention - may have it posted more prominently elsewhere on the wbesite soon.
so basically if i hold ctrl+push bind it attacks my target if not it goes for mana tide, then windfury then tremor then poison etc. up the list till theres nothing if nothing it goes for my focus target.
