#4300779 Gone from a 2200+ Lock to a 1200-1400 Lock, help?

Posted by Hosebeast on 15 December 2014 - 09:10 PM

I'm having to relearn a lot of stuff after not playing for like 6 years.

It took me like 250 games to get to 2150 with trying a lot of different comps. If they tone down cleaves then I think locks are really going to be strong. They are already really good in a few comps right now.

I'm not really a big fan of how affliction plays right now compared to past eras, but I'll always main a warlock good or bad.

#3612802 Why isnt he voted for the new american president

Posted by Hosebeast on 13 January 2012 - 01:37 AM

I also just don't like libertarianism, or his attitude toward the country's secular nature. You can't have small government and just let the free market frolic when you've got big corporations that have to be kept in check and they certainly won't police themselves. You also can't expect people in our culture to take care of eachother instead of social safety net sorts of programs the government provides. How many US citizens would be cool paying for someone else's kids to go to school if it were asked of them directly instead of being part of a tax? The country also isn't, and shouldn't be, considered a christian nation.

1. You're under the illusion that legislation has our best interests at hand. Corporations already make all the legislation through lobbyists. The only thing it does is make it more difficult/complex and expensive for small/mid size businesses to compete. I don't think ALL legislation is bad, but the majority of it in place doesn't help anyone but the large corporations.

2. I don't think the government should be taking my money that I earned and telling me how I should spend it. This goes back to the libertarian philosophy and everyone tries to make it seem like they just want everyone to die, be poor, or starve and is missing the point. The point is that the government shouldn't be taking my money and telling me how to spend it. It is my property and I should be able to use it as I choose to. So you ask who would give money? I probably would and I already donate to causes that I feel are appropriate, but you're right and some people wouldn't want to help others with their money, but as an individual it is their right to choose to do that as it is their property. A libertarian believes that the sole reason the federal government exists is to protect our rights, lives, and property and it should be restricted to that. There is a small list of things that a libertarian supports being taxed for. Our current federal government extends far beyond what the original intentions of its creation and the constitution is largely ignored or saw as 'guidelines'

The reason I'm voting for Ron Paul is because he's the only candidate that wants to do anything about our current spending, economy, and liberty. I'm scared shitless about what could happen over the next 10 years. To have the illusion that we can sustain ourselves at the rate we spend money is just crazy. You'd have to think we're the exception to everything or we're invincible. I think we are headed for disaster and I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. On top of this the government is slowly taking away our freedoms to protect corporations and protect us from the terrorism that we provoke in the first place. We have things like the NDAA (detaining U.S. citizens indefinitely without trial), Patriot Act, and things like SOPA/PIPA that are just eating away at our basic freedoms as we slowly progress to a police state.

I'm by no means saying that Ron Paul is perfect, but I agree with him on many things and he's really the only person that wants to deviate from the status quo. I personally see very little to no difference between Romney, Gingrich, or Obama.

#1562505 +Rep system suggestion to the forums

Posted by Hosebeast on 03 December 2009 - 07:56 PM

Subpar posted this in another thread

"No offense but I think this system is too much work for people to actually use. If it were possible to have simple up and down arrows with a post rating (Like Reddit or Gameriot.) it would probably get some more use :P."

Thought this was interesting.. but if I'm going slightly out my way to + or - someone then would it make it more meaningful? Other sites don't allow you to leave a description if I remember correctly though.

Curious what other people think

#1562464 Reputation System Reinstated

Posted by Hosebeast on 03 December 2009 - 07:38 PM

"As you gain reputation your reputation power increases and when you leave reputation for another user it is worth more for or against them"

They wouldn't be able to do much damage and if the user was truely a terrible poster the negative reputation should equal out anything they would be able to do

It isn't like you win an xbox at 5 bars of reputation (or do you?)
