#3972439 Surviving burst and refraining from committing suicide before I marry and hav...

Posted akatyrone on 24 October 2013 - 03:23 AM

your xmog is probly too flashy, as a healer you want to go for camoflauge, try browns and greens, stay near things on the map that are the same color. later on in the season you can purchase multiple gear sets and xmog different color schemes for differnet maps. if you think someone is going for a target on you stand still, movement is the first thing your eye notices. hope this helps!

Sorry  about there not being a  TL:DR at the end, just so many things that I don't know how to really sum it up in a proper manner.

Ignore the simpletons, they will go away. This is the first good thread I've read on AJ in a long time, you don't owe anyone an apology.

Confirmed. GM logged onto my GF's account while I was in the party and fixed her achievement. He would also not sign my buttcheek when I had asked him to.

#3885973 Is it just me or are disc shields ridiculous?

#3885971 Is it just me or are disc shields ridiculous?

Posted Djandawg on 10 May 2013 - 03:10 AM

It's not you, everyone knows how ridiculous those shields are. 150k+ shield? Please, it's more like 300k shield, 400k  divine aegis, 900k spirit shell, all non crit and all instant They also top people off with one Flash heal or a single tick of penance. If I am lucky, with all cooldowns up I can do 2m crit Greater Heals but that doesn't matter because with 300k shields, priests don't even have to cast. It's like a holy pala combined with a resto druid, but with less casting.
Because of the amazing healing output and shields, any comp is better with a priest, they replaced shamans and druids in every comp, coincidentally despite the unfair healing, they can only play rush down hunter comps, which is very surprising.
Solution: Triple PW: Shield cooldown , make Spirit Shell unusable arena or at least make it a 5 minute cooldown and nerf Flash heal by %40, to be at the same level with other healers. They need to look at the mana regen of priests also, it is the only healer with a symbolic blue bar, buckets are meant to be empty bros but priest mana is always %100, maybe a regen multiplier nerf?
Also, mass dispel should be a 3 second cast and fear should have 2 minutes cooldown.

#3884586 Cloak and Dagger no longer works during Shadow Dance

Posted Unseenz on 06 May 2013 - 09:52 AM

a friend of mine mentioned this to me today and i think its very true. the biggest problem with subterfuge hiding someone isnt just that they cant be peeled easily, its that you dont know which cooldowns theyve used (if theyre opening with blades, dance, on use, etc) and you cant use your defensives in time to peel the damage.

Got any feedback on this whole shit storm Nada? ... I was perfectly fine with the range nerf on CnD and the damage nerf on our stuff... I just think this would be a little over the top if they don't compensate us for it.

The cheap shot nerf, garrote nerf, CnD nerf & the find weakness nerf all at once... correct me if I'm wrong, haven't been following it that close lately (some changes may be reverted, not entirely sure) but I'm just sitting here thinkin wtf

I'm of the opinion that Rogues are pretty grossly overpowered right now.  Let's go through the list of changes:

Cheap shot and garrote glyph nerfs.  Totally warranted, I would actually prefer they remove the glyphs entirely.  Rogues already have ridiculous control while they have access to these two abilities, their durations do not need to be increased over the default.

Find weakness nerf.  Again, I think this is totally reasonable.  70% ArP is so much, it lets rogues basically ignore armor entirely during their burst.  50% is still a ton of armor ignored, and brings it in line with other big ArP effects in PvP (like colossus smash).

Cloak and dagger nerf.  I'm gonna sound like a broken record, but I think this one is the most reasonable of all.  For the overall health of your class, and the game, cloak and dagger needs to be removed or rendered useless.  The ability for a rogue to teleport all over the map while dancing/subterfuging and apply instant physical CC to everyone on the enemy team is just ridiculous, along with being very difficult to peel during their burst, because they can close any gap instantly.  I am the most happy about this change.

I think the changes are good changes.  It's possible rogues will be too weak, but I think they should still be a strong class.  Even if you guys end up too weak, I think the changes are good for the long term health of rogues.  Even though warlocks weren't considered super crazy last season, (after demo was nerfed) I advocated for blood fear nerfs, because the ability was just so broken.  I'd rather see the crazy not-fun abilities removed now, even if it means class balance might be screwed up for a little bit.  That's why I'd like to see subterfuge hit in some way as well.  Maybe I'm just optimistic with how fast they can fix balance issues.

They probably can't really figure out how to buff mage damage without it affecting PvE

Don't use that title again; I almost had a heart attack thinking that mages got more buffs in 5.3.

#3882935 What would you change in WoW if you could.

Posted Ayume on 01 May 2013 - 09:11 PM

I would remove all blanket silences and most instant cc, reduce the amount of healing from all instant cast heals (shields, lifebloom, riptide, holy shock etc) and increase the amount of healing on all casted heals, do the same for all the dps casters. Then lower the cooldown of all interrupts to 8 seconds on a missed interrupt 11 seconds on a successful interrupt.

Also of course remove mind numbing poison, necrotic strike and all the other cast time increasing curses/spells left in the game. Would probably have to look into the number of stuns and random interrupts melee have as well and tone them down(cheapshot, double deathgrip, scatter shot).

Goal is to change the game to being more about casting spells and less about ramming instants into players during blanket silences and stuns, therefore increasing interaction and actual time playing your character.

Edit: Not exactly one change but, it's a series of changes to accomplish one goal: having casted spells be real again.
