WW was extremely good pre-dmg nerfs, now i'm not so sure. They won't be bad by any means, they still have great mobility, can dispel diseases, and lock things down pretty well. RoP is pretty ridiculous on a 45 second cd as well.
MW has the exact same problems as last season. In terms of RBGS it is probably the best healer now with RoP on such a short cd while having such high healing output. For 3s, cc is still the issue. MW can't shift or death polys, tremor/ground/shock casts, doesnt have sac to break cc. All it has is teleport and to a lesser extent roll to help avoid ccs. Paralyze can also be used to stop the casts on a 15 second cd. Chi Wave was our decent heal to use when getting cc'd but it got nerfed massively, which really hurts the spec. MW doesn't have any absorbs or powerful long lasting hots that can keep people up while you are perma ccd either. The only thing you have are the healing balls that you place and the ones that are left lying around due to the worst mastery in the game.
MW is not really as bad as I think I am making it out to be. Though it does have some glaring issues, with the right comp I think it will be pretty good. Will pretty much be required to play with either a Spriest or DK for MD and Unholy Frenzy (or just play with both so you are basically never ccd).
I don't understand how you plan on playing Assassination with CaD, Cloak and Dagger is probably not even worth taking as ShS for 90% of comps. You will spend the entire time throwing shurukens outside of using vanish if the other team is good. So to alleviate this problem it seems like you plan on trying to restealth constantly. You will basically be cc'ing yourself JUST so you can get a gimmiky "look at me CC the entire team!!!!!" ability, Pressing 3 buttons to garrote/cs an entire team does not take skill. Is your plan to just garrote/cheapshot/rupture then run to a pole and spam shuruken toss at something? Shuruken toss doesnt proc non-lethal poisons either in 5.2, so you won't even be able to get mind numbing or crippling up from range.
So I compared the stat differences between the monk mw sets, copperskin with full meditation offset/trinkets/rings. No gems/enchants/socket bonus obviously. It is a pretty massive disadvantage, especially for healers because pvp power is not exactly an important stat. Full honor malev will have 28k less HP than 2/2 upgraded players, but its possible the resil increase will help alleviate this difference. Most annoying thing for me is that the s12 t2 2/2 is higher ilvl than s13 weapon, and this means people will be at a disadvantage until the 27k conquest point elite gear.
Really really good changes. They should implement some cool cosmetic shit for people with higher ratings as an added incentive for people to actually push ratings. It will also give more casual players something to push towards instead of just capping points each week.
