#3822322 Shockwave

Posted Chizzey on 16 December 2012 - 04:02 PM

Stop comparing classes around abilities, which work completly different

My Solution:

- Shockwave damage dealt is reduced by 90% in a PvP Enviroment.
- Shockwave now has a Cooldown of 30 Seconds in a PvP Enviroment.
- Shockwave shares DR with Warbringer.
- Shockwave is now a Tier 6 Talent and switched places with Stormbolt

- Stormbolt is now a Tier 4 Talent and switched places with Shockwave

- Bladestorm now deals 165% Weapon Damage (the current state is just a bad joke)
- Bladestorm now has a Cooldown of 1 Minute(45 if glyphed)

- Warrior no longer can use Recklessness and Avatar at the same in a PvP Enviroment(Arenas, RBGs, Battlegrounds)

- Taste for Blood is not usable in a PvP Enviroment

- Heroic Strike now deals 150% of Weapon Damage
- Heroic Stike now costs 15 Rage
- Inner Rage is removed from the Game.

- Berseker Stance now decreases damage taken by 15% generates some Rage from damage taken.

- Defensive Stance now decreases damage taken and DEALT by 25%

- Battle Stance now decreases damage taken by 15% generates some Rage from normal melee attacks

- Mortal Stike now deals 190% weapon damage plus 2,693

- Overpower now deals 120% weaspon damage

- Heroic Throw now works like Pummel, interrupting spellcasting and preventing any spell in that school being cast for 4 sec.

- Shattering Throw now has a Cooldown 3 minutes (was 5 min)

- Spell Reflection Cooldown is lowered to 20 Seconds

not final, share your thoughts with me please, if changes like that would make it live, i am sure it would improve warrior gaming experience

NOT FINAL

Stop qqing about shockwave. Rogue stun chain with rng mace stun poison is 10x more annoying. Blizz should actually increase DRs on stuns. So ppl can't chain them into you endlessly and you just die. Trinket or not. THAT is the whole problem.

Sometimes in a random bg nowadays you get gripped into a random bot group and you catch stun on stun on stun on stun and just die. I don't blame shockwave on that. But Hoj(especially Hoj), Shadowfury. Mr.random rogue opening on me wile enemy team blazes me down. To think of it. Shockwave is actually the easiest to dodge since you can actually miss it in the first place.

Starting to compare shockwave to the other stuns in the game is just stupid. Omg shadowfury. So does that mean warriors get a no cooldown castable fear too?

QQing ppl like this made blizzard give everyone interrupts, stuns and ms effects to begin with. Stop comparing apples with oranges. And see classes as a whole picture.
yes nerf rogues

#3815652 Moonkin Expertise and Mage/Moonkin/X?

Moonkin/Mage/Healer seems amazing.

I really want to play it, but no good mages...

I consistently do 200k+ starsurges, I can't imagine the damage in a deep followed by beam + vortex.

Is vortex actually working in arena now? Hmmm..

And yea i get over 200k starsurges pretty regularly. Our damage definitely needs looking at. Maybe incarnation and vigil triggering a 30s internal on eachother? In other news I have found the best comp we have so far to be Warrior/Moonkin/X. Good ol melee caster healer. Tried with a DK too but DK's are in a very very sorry state. Played a ton of games last night as those 2 and warlock playing both demo and destro. Destro feels stronger than demo, but warrior just trumped both warlock specs.

Also, if you wanna see some moonkin action, check out www.twitch.tv/fadezzlol. Shaman/Monk POV but I play with him pretty regularly. Follow, and if hes not streaming and you still wanna see some shit check the vods!

#3814249 How blizzard handled 5.1

How long will it take you to realize that increasing power was GOOD  change since the buff is about 5% more dmg for EVERYONE and it makes PvE weapons redundant for PvP.

#3812937 5.1 the backstage at Blizzard's Headquarters

Posted Hyrmine on 29 November 2012 - 03:01 PM

I can summarize this and the next ones in a few sentences.

Everyone keeps saying how shit the game is, keeps playing it. Blizzard announces a patch that nerfs the classes people want to be nerfed. Retards get all horny and spam the forums with "cant wait for 9.1 so i can start casting again and kill abc XDDDD"
Patch comes, people aren't happy and spam the forum even more until they stfu and go play for a few weeks. Then another patch comes. People whine, again, call WoW the worst game that has ever existed while still logging on every fucking day and never even thought about trying any other game and go play for a few weeks until they change something new and other classes become OP instead.

#3811628 Fellow shadow priests...

Posted Donald on 27 November 2012 - 05:18 PM

The gods made it so when we see each other we don't have to waste an extra 20 minutes of our time:

Arena matches now have a 25 minute time limit (was 45 minutes).

Rejoice.

#3811309 The 5 Stages of 5.1

Posted Korzul on 27 November 2012 - 12:29 AM

Here's some help for tomorrow/Wednesday for all my fellow shamans.

1. Denial and Isolation
The first reaction to learning of a terminal nerf is to deny the reality of the situation. It is a normal reaction to rationalize overwhelming emotions. It is a defense mechanism that buffers the immediate shock. We block out the words and hide from the facts. This is a temporary response that carries us through the first few losses.

2. Anger
As the masking effects of denial and isolation begin to wear, reality and its pain re-emerge. We are not ready. The intense emotion is deflected from our vulnerable core, redirected and expressed instead as anger. The anger may be aimed at inanimate objects, opponents or team mates for NOT PEELING QUICK ENOUGH.

3. Bargaining
The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and vulnerability is often a need to regain control–
  • Maybe if i gem full resilience...
  • Surely i can find a good shadow priest to play with.. hell maybe even a ret too!
  • Damn it i'm good enough to ground EVERY DEEP!
  • If we pop everything instantly we still have a chance!
4. Depression
Two types of depression are associated with nerfs. The first one is a reaction to practical implications relating to the loss. We worry about our team mates and rating. We worry that, in our nerfed state, we have less tools to help those that depend on us.
The second type of depression is more subtle and, in a sense, perhaps more private. It is our quiet preparation to separate from our friends and bid them farewell, for they can still play strong comps and yet we can not be with them :<

5. Acceptance
Reaching this stage of mourning is a gift not afforded to everyone. Nerfs may be sudden and unexpected or we may never understand the reasoning or the logic, for there may very well be none.
It is not necessarily a mark of bravery to resist the inevitable and to deny ourselves the opportunity to re-roll or quit. This phase is marked by withdrawal and calm and ultimately, vodka.

This post may have been subjected to some over dramatization.

#3809550 New totem changes

Posted Guest on 22 November 2012 - 07:18 PM

Elemental and Enhancement Shamans need buffs, that is true, but this change has been necessary for a long time coming. This change was made a long time ago back when Wrath started I believe because they weren't that strong back then, but with all their added utility since Cataclysm this has been the one glaring issue with Shamans that will actually make them more fair to fight against. I compiled a list of changes myself and this one was on that list (not that I even got in contact with Blizzard about any of it). Why? It's simply overpowered to be able to do things while interrupted or silenced as a healing class. If Mages or Rogues are killing Shamans instantly every game then nerf the stuns/blankets/damage, but keep this change. Nature's Guardian is something that is not being mentioned in any of this discussion. Gaining 100k health before you die is a big deal. Don't forget you can Healthstone and Battlemaster while locked out/blanketed.

How fair is it to for a Shaman to get imp cs'd or silenced and just drop grounding totem, healing tide, and then link if they're still in trouble? It's always been ridiculous seeing Shamans just rotate through their abilities while silenced. You can also Unleash Elements still while silenced AFAIK.

Displacer Beast while silenced (and its short cooldown) need to be addressed at the same time as this.

Lastly, if Shamans are dying to certain classes I can guarantee you all the other healers besides resto druids will be dying just as quick. So if they are actually even a little interested in making healers viable damage/CC WILL be toned down.
