#4625923 Disc comps 2v2 and 3v3

Posted by Conditions on 25 January 2017 - 04:39 PM

Rogue/Priest is a staple for 2s, don't feel any other Disc Priest comp is better. In a short game Rogue is amazing, in a longer game Rogue just gets stronger, can pull off some filthy resets too.

3s RMP is good, but RMD is just better. Plus you really have to know very well who you play with, you could all be 2400 players but you'll play as though you're 2k in a fresh RMP with new friends, at least that's how I feel when playing RMP with pugs.

Melee cleaves are decent with a Priest, FMP isn't as strong as it was last season, might be better now with feral being rebuffed though. Boomkin/Monk or Rogue with a Priest is also not only good but extremely fun to play as Cippi has mentioned.

#4625590 Shadow even worth playing?

Posted by Conditions on 23 January 2017 - 04:25 PM

No, we aren't viable. Spriest are 100% shite. Our damage is easily healable, we have no offensive pressure, no mobility, no utility, our self-healing is garbage. Spriest aren't viable at all after these hotfixes. Might be viable with a windwalker monk or a rogue but they have much better successful comps.

Correction - you're shite. Even when Shadow was god tier you failed to accomplish much with it. Don't project your poor experience of the class on other people.

Anyway we're not fucking awful, it's just being a caster is generally really, really shit right now. We only have a few viable comps and because of the meta Shadow is simply not an enjoyable playstyle. We're good, but the meta is bad for us; RPS and Godcomp are still exceptionally good comps for Shadow, as is playing with a WW monk (good synergy). Shadowcleave is also looking better right now. Personally if I had to push I'd probably do it as Disc atm instead of Shadow just because being cleaved down over and over is really, really not enjoyable - even when you win. But this is a subjective perception of the class and it's likely you tanked because you were carried by the pre-nerf damage as opposed to actually belonging at that level of play, that is -usually- what happens (I remember when we all thought Assassination was going to be free glad for rogues last season, couple of nerfs later and all but the top rogues tanked the fuck.)

#4625011 Stat priority and best talents for Assassination?

Posted by Conditions on 18 January 2017 - 10:30 PM

4 months into expansion they still don't understand the way pvp templates work

Over a decade of WoW, a rapidly depreciating PvP community and you still find purpose in being a cunt.

@OP - None, because all your stats are set on a default template that gets slightly better with gear, so wear whatever has the highest ilvl and safely ignore stats.

Internal Bleeding just adds steroids to Exsang, but Exsang isn't really that great anymore after being butchered over and over; I personally prefer Prey on the Weak because it increases your damage as well as your party damage, it's especially really sick for setups in RMP, assuming you don't go against a triple Human team that just makes irrelevant every single stun.

Goodguy doomsen questioning his R1 title

Holinka: "No this is correct you should have had Gladiator but it has a warforge proc so now you're r1"

Working as intended.

Also tfw Bigmoran can't make his Tryhards of Legion S1 post because no-one knows who's actually supposed to be r1.

#4624561 Voidform: Should we enter or not?

Posted by Conditions on 14 January 2017 - 10:50 PM

Ty for the replies!

Yes, u guys are right! For arenas, I'm quite sure edges isnt the best option. But for BGs, I think its the better options. Any of you guys have tested it on bgs?

Only for a cheap bit of fun, it's not good. Your spread pressure is better in void form and that's the only thing relevant as Shadow in a battleground. Especially where being in void form increases your haste, which will get you more ticks of VT/SWP during VE (which if you're not playing in BGs - you should be). Everything as Shadow is better with more haste and playing EoI denies you that. You obviously really want to play it and are looking for some validation to do so - in randoms who gives a fuck, have fun with it if you so choose (I personally didn't because it felt horribly weak and slow) but no, it is not a viable build.

#4624417 Voidform: Should we enter or not?

Posted by Conditions on 13 January 2017 - 06:46 PM

You still have more consistent pressure with LI and LOTV than playing voidformless shadow (yes, even by dropping RoS - because the DPE from it isn't fantastic anymore and we no longer are so heavily reliant on the free regen from it.). Being in void form with PI is still disgusting and voidform uptime is crazy now anyway. Considering how hard buffed all of our insanity regen is it's just wasted if you play VFless Shadow.

#4623982 Patch Notes 7.1.5

Posted by Conditions on 10 January 2017 - 11:06 PM

#fireholinka #neverthoughiwouldmissghostcrawler

The same way after every expansion we thought we'd never miss it (save maybe LK).

Only this time we mean it. Like looking back a lot of people agree S14 and S15 were half decent seasons (whereas we didn't see a single good Warlord season). They also just happen to be the last seasons GC had any kind of input in.

does that mean that only the hp bonus is enabled in pvp or is the dmg bonus from these traits also enabled?

Because it just says traits, I would assume this is just either the flat damage or healing boost.

But sensible assumptions are not what you make with this company.

#4620613 its hilarious how blizzard

Posted by Conditions on 13 December 2016 - 02:26 AM

No point of bringing up arena tracking when blizzard can't even be bothered to add functionality to their horrible and utterly embarrassing pvp ladder which only allows you to filter by faction.

Somehow every single time they change that fucking site, the Arena ladder actually loses more functionality. The old site was the best one we've ever had and no-one ever asked for it to be changed, they just decided they were bored.

#4617523 2s Mage/Priest against Healer Lock

Posted by Conditions on 18 November 2016 - 08:45 PM

Priest is good for 2s. Its the mage class that is the problem. I dont feel like mage priest is favoured to almost any comp, some 50/50 matchups I guess. But there are alot of comps u just cant win.

Pretty much this. Unless you kill something in a super aggressive opener there are some comps with a mage you can't win unless they make some glaring mistake (Feral healer, Lock Sham/Hpala, WW monk comps being particularly aids)

#4617187 Historically, how much does Glad change in the course of season?

Posted by Conditions on 17 November 2016 - 12:26 AM

Longer seasons, higher cut-off obviously, more people play, more people boosted, more games played etc.
