Okay, but lets imagine a scenario:

Titles are not publicly available. There is no way to show them to other people, no one besides you can see them.

Do people still cheat? Maybe a few, but it would be drastically lowered.

People who cheat/buy rating do it and then brag and show it off.

A lot of people cheat because they have a reason to do so.

Saying that removing at least one of the "incentives" is pointless probably isn't the proper way to word things.

Really, the entire problem comes down to Blizzard not caring. They give titles to cheaters. They refuse to acknowledge cheating. I would be highly surprised if come tomorrow, even one-third of the blatant cheaters get DQ'ed.

In 5 seasons, will we even remember Kuliox? Probably not, he will have transferred and name changed or something and keep all his titles. Many of the "top players" now have a past of cheating, we have just all forgot about it.

Blizzard is God and God has turned a blind eye. We can fight all we want (and we should) to stop it, but it requires both players and Blizzard working together to make a tangible impact.

Sounds good, let's just remove all incentive from game while we're at it - the amount of cheaters are bound to slim down as subscriptions drop like flies
