#4041215 PTR Build - AMS Nerfed by 22%

Posted by Ralin on 26 January 2014 - 10:42 AM

Holy fuck, DKs cry more than shadow priests.

Us rets don't even cry this much either. Pretty sure warriors in s11 cried less too.

It's really weird how many non DKs are in this thread crying about DKs. More people have cried about S5 DKs than about anything in this game and it's 4 years after the fact.

Who cares if DKs cry more than shadow priests? Shadow priests can respec. DKs can't. Who cares if DKs cry more than rets? Rets can respec. DKs can't. If you're still trying to compare your garbage snowflake hipster spec just kill yourself and save us all the trouble from having to read your opinion.

#4035115 S15 State of DKs

Posted by Ralin on 17 January 2014 - 08:26 AM

DKs have double warriors' parry chance. Conversion can be spammed at any time for a broken amount of healing. Warriors may have more utility and yes overall they are stronger but DKs are still one of the better melee (imo Rogue>Warrior>DK>Enhance>Ret>WW.)

Your armory, parry chance = 19.87%
Katsoura, EU Human DK parry chance = 25.43%

According to EU maths, apparently 19.87*2 = 25.43?

To the rest of the world, double 19.87 is actually 39.74. The human DK seems to be missing about 14 and a half percent worth of parry. So you're full of shit.

Conversion is so broken it prevents the DK a source of damage, lowers their RP generation while it's active while Second Wind heals for the same amount while costing no resources.

So in your opinion, DK is a top 3 melee class. Too bad there are only 3 pure melee classes in the game so every melee class is top 3.

According to arenamate.net unholy is 9th represented spec in 3v3 (2200+), being over elemenetal and enhancement shammy, mw and ww monk; feral and balance druid, shadow priest, survival hunter, retribution paladin and few other specs. It's definetly viable. :)

According to arenamate.net elemental is 10th represented spec in 3v3 (2200+), being over prot paladin, blood DK, prot warrior, guardian druid, brewmaster monk, and a few other specs. It's definitely viable :)

#4015006 So everyone was complaining that we're garbage

Posted by Ralin on 18 December 2013 - 02:16 PM

Who the fuck cares? Give him some credit.

I care because these outliers are the ones Holinka will use as examples that game balance is perfect because he failed statistics or it wasn't a requirement to be hired at Blizzard to head the part of the game they don't give a shit about.

Your class is > 0.000001% representation? Perfectly balanced. Time to go home. Maybe rub some baby oil on my nipples while I ice lance somebody.

#4012945 Revive Pet Cast Time To Be Reduced To 2 Seconds

Posted by Ralin on 14 December 2013 - 08:45 PM

one of the dumbest "hotfixes" in this entire expansion

Yes, one of the dumbest.

Not the random 20% damage increase to Ice Lance to completely solidify the instant cast playstyle of Frost Mage while you dick ride Chanimal's "but I don't support lowering of skill cap" responses.

Not the removal of the ability to use Unholy Frenzy to pre-empt CC as one of the only skillmoves a DK could make in the current incarnation of the class while you dick ride Chanimal's "but I don't support lowering of skill cap" responses.

Not the change to SotF to make Resto Druids have nearly uninterruptible cyclones in online play because might as well have more instant casts while you dick ride Chanimal's "but I don't support lowering of skill cap" responses.

Not the increased chance to proc Fingers of Frost to support the RNG paradigm of Frost Mages while you dick ride Chanimal's "but I don't support lowering of skill cap" responses.

Nah man, it's this one, the 2 second revive pet, because it allows hunters to shoot the mages you play with in your x/M/D comps that is the dumbest.

#4012768 Revive Pet Cast Time To Be Reduced To 2 Seconds

Posted by Ralin on 14 December 2013 - 03:38 PM

why would i not complain when a stupid change goes in? if people dont complain then some stupid things don't get changed back and the game becomes worse

Because you end up looking blatantly biased, selectively choosing only the stupid things that hurt your class but being oddly silent or choosing not to voice an opinion when given the stage to.

Every caster defends to the death their ability to insta cast. You're quoted as having said this game and the changes this expansion being good, until now. Suddenly, this change, is horribly bad.

If you actually were a voice against things that were stupid, then do so consistently. But it appears quite clearly that you are not.

#4012615 Revive Pet Cast Time To Be Reduced To 2 Seconds

Posted by Ralin on 14 December 2013 - 07:20 AM

lowering the skill cap isnt a good thing

I agree with this statement.

But that's long been the road we've traveled before this point. I don't see there being a reason we focus on cutting out hunters from having a shot at getting in on it.

We have the RNG design paradigm of elemental shamans. The fingers of frost RNG + instant cast design paradigm of frost mages. We had the meta shift of every caster moving from cast times to instant casts or aura mastery type cooldowns.

But it's this, 2 second revive pet that is too much?

#4012258 Revive Pet Cast Time To Be Reduced To 2 Seconds

Posted by Ralin on 13 December 2013 - 04:57 PM

2 second cast is the easiest thing ever to get off for anyone

Just gonna quote this for the next time any caster complains that it is hard to cast spells when there's a discussion about caster DPS in this game having infinity instant casts/never having to cast anymore and the rebuttal from every caster being that there's too many interrupts.

#4010707 Rets...What is this?!

Posted by Ralin on 11 December 2013 - 08:42 PM

I don't get why people have such a hard time to realise there's a difference between 'skillful' and 'skillcap'

When you're 16, whether or not you get a video game title is probably the only thing you have to worry about. Mentioning skill and the class you play in a negative light bruises the pubescent ego. On AJ, we get "badass" Luminant to hide the emo Luminant on Tonystyle's stream.

#4006597 DKs and the Current State of the Game... Fixes needed.

Posted by Ralin on 06 December 2013 - 02:02 PM

Also, like I said earlier in the thread... classes have to have flaws.

I am very much in support of the whole "classes have to have flaws" ideal if this ideal is reflected in all classes.

What I won't argue for is that my own class keeps it's flaws while i'm trying to compete in an environment where i'm surrounded by classes that had their inherent flaws trivialized or removed. I'd just be breaking my own ankles before I start the race.

#4005847 Holinka's response to Shadow at this point

Posted by Ralin on 05 December 2013 - 05:52 AM

automatically a stupidly viable comp regardless of what two other classes you bring

So you mean like warlocks and mages every season? But it is disgusting and game breaking if shadow priests are also allowed this privilege. God forbid.

Some would say Rogues/Warrs are overpowered this and previous seasons, yet we all watch Wizcon year after year.

Maybe it has something to do with Wizcon qualifiers being held on a patch 8 months prior to the tournament every time.

Historically, warriors are always overlords at end of xpac exactly when Blizzcons are held. Problem is they tend to be in a lull during mid-xpac which is when qualifiers are held. Wizcon never reflects live play unless you actually believe the 2013 Blizzcon reflecting 0 rogues accurately portrays what top of the ladder is like.

#4005451 Holinka's response to Shadow at this point

Posted by Ralin on 04 December 2013 - 06:44 PM

ur hybrid class, stop complaining about mages being better than spriests...

Except disc and holy not doing that much better. Mages as a whole doing better than priests as a whole so spriests being hybrid or not is a pointless argument.

#4005250 Holinka's response to Shadow at this point

You make an elitist assumption -

When Holinka has stated multiple times that there's no planned balance changes between now and WoD, why is it an elitist assumption? It's taking his words at face value with no accidental misinterpretation. Are you dumb?

#4004995 Holinka's response to Shadow at this point

Posted by Ralin on 04 December 2013 - 03:24 AM

as in, they don't decide to make a change based only on the number of whine posts/threads/tweets they receive about a class

So why'd they hit Unholy Frenzy when the mages twitter spammed him?

Do mage tears matter more than shadow priests? More collective crying power? Mages trolling every other class forum. ex dee

We may be a thorn in your shoe, but mages are a knife through your heart, ok.

which would I rather have... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

Oddly enough, most people would pick mages.

Mages strangely have the most crying power as a collective community because for some reason, no matter what they'll be invariably supported by rogues since rogues are convinced that they should work with no other class.

I remain unconvinced that a PvP summit that invited 2 rogues and a mage will result in the most unbiased feedback for whatever future this game has PvP wise.
