#4411914 Rewarding bad game play.

Posted Knaittiz on 19 April 2015 - 07:59 AM

Fuck soul shards.

Sometimes my pet dies with 0 soul shards left and I just run into the middle of the map and spam cast so someone will cc or interrupt me so I can get a fucking pet out.

And oh the countless times when I haven't gotten soul shard from nightfall or set bonus proc for a minute straight.. :|

Its less of a reward for bad gameplay, and more of an apology for bad game design.

Edit, with explanation:
10/10 would prefer rewarding successful jukes, but thats harder to implement and unlikely to happen.  This at least shifts some skill/onus to the interrupters, forcing more strategic depth when there are consequences to blatantly mindless spam.  Since the game is (still) quite full of spam interrupts and misc. cheese, it feels like an apology, correction, and offset to generate some counterplay.

#4410948 Is this a legit proof that WoW is a very shit game ?

Posted Lolflay on 16 April 2015 - 11:11 PM

I honestly don't know why you people are surprised.

In wrath/cata, people would give their left ball to see some of the top teams play, because top teams had the knowledge while lower teams didn't. Back in s8 when I had highest RPS team in the world, arenajunkies was testing out the "live/offline" function of linking xfire streams to their "Stream" section, I pretty much linked my AJ acc to my xfire acc, turned on the stream at something like 6 in the morning, and was fiddling with stream settings and with keybindings on my rogue - those 20 minutes I was fiddling with those things, I got like 400-500 viewers watching me literally doing nothing, at the time when both EU and US are basically sleeping.

Watching top players play was an exclusive thing back then. You felt privileged just seeing a PvP video from a really good team ( Vileroze MLD f.ex. ). Now you see Hydra streaming and you're like "meh" - why ? Because he can't show anything to you that you already don't know. Game took all those extra areas you can excel in, and everyone is playing the fucking same, there are no more special strats you can borrow off a better team than you, the only thing you can do is work on synergy between you and your teammates, and you can't really do that from watching a video/stream of other people playing.

As for Swifty being top streamer, Twitch is popular because of the same population that watches Mexican TV soap shows and stupid American reality shows - except that the people that watch Twitch are gamers, so they watch gamer adaptations of such trash content. Idiots like Sodapoppin getting 10k viewers for being... well, fucking retards, dying their hair and doing random shit on stream ? Those same people that watch him are the people who find shit like Big Brother and other reality shit tv shows interesting.

So if WoW is not capable of producing such braindead streams that attract absolutely MORONIC viewers that are the lowest of the low when human race is concerned, don't expect the game to fare well on Twitch ratings.

Slightly more thread related but equally off topic: The best part of this thread is the 3k rated hunter who thinks that your own character is not player controlled.

Not sure why that is really relevant.

It's the pet that should be getting Glad after all.

I like how you complain about wintrading, yet you probably boost people yourself (which is worse, because you break the ToS)
I can barely get gladiator myself why would anyone buy boost from me :duckers:

Master Detective Knaittiz on the case.

Djqwatz aka Røum actually paid 28€ (race change (dwarf fem->dwarf male) + name change) to try and hide the fact that he wintraded.

Luckily I record every game of 3v3 I play so I got these wintraders on camera. It was easy to tell they have never been above 1800 legit. You can see his guild name on the left picture. He wasn't smart enough to leave it :(

Could be coincidence, sure. Now let's go to wowprogress.com that still has some useful information about Djqwatz: http://www.wowprogre...encrest/Djqwatz As you can see, mr. Djqwatz and Røum are using the exact same gear.

http://pvpratings.co...ravencrest/Røum no games found what a surprise

All 3 scumbags:

Would tweeting this at Holinka work?
Keep wasting your money Djqwatz aka Røum aka Thunderqt, I will keep finding you!

He just changed name again and armory will update soon :PPPP

Atleast he left the guild this time and changed gear, title and spec... pretty impressive, maybe he'll pull it off next time

I think it is safe to say that Blizzard employees read AJ so, thank you Blizzard for employing/promoting someone who actually does his job right. Hopefully GC won't have be involved in decision soon so Holinka can improve PvP even more.

There are still many who don't know his twitter or don't even have an account to tweet at him, I encourage you to do so since he actually replies to most tweets and unlike GC he actually says things that make sense.

I found more information regarding Holinka! You can find out more about him on his LinkedIn profile here:

Prior to working for Blizzard he seems to have been working on a game called Transformer: Fall of Cybertron. I've never heard about that game personally. The company only had 200 employees it seems.
And before that he was a Senior Game Designer at THQ. Pretty interesting!

#4370171 Spell Lock bug?

Posted Fizion on 24 January 2015 - 05:24 PM

You have to be in LoS of who is getting spell locked while your pet doesn't have to be.   Blizz doesn't believe in common sense things like your pet being right next to them to be able to lock while it's OK to do it through pillars or walls.

ya, pet spell locking through a pillar while it's CC'd.
command demon is such a nice addition to the game.

Every single 2400+ player in the world

Posted Image

Big enough sample size for you?

lol how hard can you try to give people a warped idea of something, it's sad as fuck really

Here are the following ranks:

Posted Image

3 (out of 2059 players) more mages/rogues than hunters
4 (out of 2059 players) more mages/rogues than warriors
5 (out of 2059 players) more mages/rogues than shamans
10 (out of 2059 players) more mages/rogues than warlocks

And warlock/warrior/sham representation is on the rise due to last patch on top of that.
Oh no, 0.14% more mages than hunters at 2400+? Better fucking buff those hunters and nerf mages into the ground boys

I'm not denying mages/rogues shouldn't get some nerfs/fixes left & right, but it's obvious that the main problem is druids, which most people with a brain larger than the size of a peanut have been saying for a long time now.

so whats considered valuable in a player now if not titles?

amount of pounds lost in a year? is that why minpojke got over 500 viewers on stream?
