Highest Skillcap/Most Rewarding Solo WPvP Class

20 November 2014 - 04:28 PM

Hello, just curious what you all think the class mentioned in the thread title would be, with some other criteria.

-Not just great 1v1/2 potential against as many classes as possible, but can make big plays at objective-based PvP.

-Reasonably unlikely to get smacked down by the nerf bat such that it becomes shit (in need of a nerf but probably be good/balanced afterward is okay), and unlikely to lose effectiveness as the expansion/gear levels progress.

Current best guess is Rogue, but want educated opinions.  Thanks!

Best "Selfish", Versatile, Solo and World PvP Class in WoD

26 October 2014 - 02:42 AM

Hey all, just trying to pick a class to stick with first for when WoD comes out, and I'm pretty unfamiliar with what level 100 is going to be like, but I do think I have a good grasp of what I'd like to play.  This is largely non-arena focused, except skirmishes (ranked arena will probably be secondary to me unless I find some people I really like to play with).

Basically, I'm wondering what the most "selfish" sort of PvP class is, that can make a difference/can do really well not only in World PvP but also in BG's (because let's face it, those WILL be necessary), etc.  A class with a lot of self-focused utility that with smart play can make a big impact, as well as have a lot of versatility/options, and a high skill cap, that doesn't have to rely on other players as much.

If I had to guess, I suppose I'd assume it's a Rogue (or maybe Druid), because of the stealth, the damage, and the CC--if you want to help someone, you lock down their attacker, rather than heal them up and pray to god they mouth-breath little enough to actually fight back effectively.

Still, I'm hardly an expert, so I thought I'd ask the experts.  Thanks in advance for any replies and advice, I appreciate it.
