#3840710 Can someone explain me how the gear will work in 5.2

Posted Korzul on 26 January 2013 - 12:11 AM

Buy conquest gear till you get up to 22k conquest earnt for the season.
Save as close to 5k conquest as possible after that.
Once at 27k conquest earnt you can purchase the normal tyrannical gladiators gear for honor.
Grind honor and finish upgrading your malevolent -> tyrannical using honor.

Spend the 5k conquest saved upgrading tyrannical -> elite tyrannical (starting with weapon).
Spend the next few weeks using the conquest you earn upgrading tyrannical -> elite tyrannical.

It's 22k points spent on normal tyrannical, 17250 spent on elite tyrannical giving a total of 39,250 need to fully gear.

39,250/3700 (rbg cap) = 11 week to fully gear.
39,250/3000 (reasonable arena cap) = 13 weeks to fully gear.

After that you'd need another 17250 to upgrade an offset which is 5 and 6 weeks respectively extra (rbgs and arena) to get a full offset.

#3817869 a few questions for SP

Posted Virral on 09 December 2012 - 05:57 PM

In response to the stat question, there are actually a few ways to do gemming and reforging depending on comp and playstyle.

For your gemming, these are the common choices:

Damage
Red: int/pvp power
Yellow: resil/pvp power
Blue: pvp power

Damage/High Support
Red: int
Yellow: int/haste
Blue: pvp power/int

Survival
Red: int/resil
Yellow: resil
Blue: resil

Reforges can prioritize two different ways:

1.)  6% Hit  > Haste > Mastery >  Crit
2.)  6% Hit  > Haste > Crit >  Mastery

The difference being that crit provides more burst and single target damage for setups like godcomp,
whereas mastery provides double VT mana return on procs, slightly more chances to proc instants, and good multi-target.

You still want to prioritize haste over all, although its value past the current reachable breakpoint is debatable. Can't go wrong with faster casts, though.

Its all preference really, try them out and see which you like better.

#3817518 Warlock. What Spec?

Posted al9ska on 08 December 2012 - 08:45 PM

Hey guys, I am not a pro warlock, but I am on it, so after those all those nerfs of locks, is it still good to play Demo? or reroll affliction for arenas? What are viable comps for affli lock?
