#3892776 Patch 5.3: One shots!

Posted Dreamex on 29 May 2013 - 10:49 AM

The fact that zilea talason and veevs hunter are almost rank 1 on BG9 when veev has close to zero experience on a hunter just shows how much of a joke these classes are. The way they play is even more of a joke, pop every CD (including BW for the damage) in the opener and spam damage, rarely landing traps, not that they are needed. Nothing against them, this is sadly the best way to play. Though it does make me laugh when they complain on stream about casters occasionally globaling them when most games they're usually just tunnelling unhealable damage into the casters.

On other BGs, there really aren't many caster cleaves at all, everything consists of hunters and melee  who mongo everything in the opener and make the game awful to play. Bloodlust seems to have slightly more non melee since there's a small group of casters there who just que into each other on stream every single day.

If hunter + feral + enhance + ret (with cds) + ele got toned down slightly this patch would be a lot better.

Bad manner or integrity?

Let me sum it up for the guys not watching this shit, for obvious reasons.

First Game: Dogshit Warrior/Mage/Druid loses to DISCpriest/Feral/Mage.

Next game: Dogshit Warrior/Mage/Druid meets DISCpriest/Feral/Mage again but the Feral Disconnects, so the Priest/Mage offers a 2v2 vs the Warrior/Shaman or w/e since they are from the same Guild.

But the Dogshit-Mage who was streaming decides to go in now since its 3v2 and says shit like "GG NO RE" while having his fucking gladiatorlossa addon on.

TL;DR Most deserved Guildkick ever.

Oh and for US PEOPLE Gladiatorlossa seems to be a standart Addon implemented into the Game, LOL

#3820892 Arena Post 15% Healing Nerf

Posted Korzul on 14 December 2012 - 05:17 AM

Would like to have Starship replying to this thread and telling how bad the situation really is for druids.

Edit: Watching Kollektiv's stream atm and he still does those 200k healing crits without any issue :/

65k healing surge at 100% health (with full epic, 5 bits 2/2, upgraded weapon)
After BF it's 45.5k
After BF and MS it's 34k hits and 68k crits.

Now the problem is:
ES gives 20% healing to the target
Mastery is up to 50% healing for most shamans (25% extra once your at 50% health)
Unleash elements with unleash fury give a 30% and a 50% increase on the next heal.

So your 34k hit just turned into a 99k heal (198k crit) on a partner who's ES'd after a UE when they're on 50%.

Also please note from the stream:-
1st talb is PoMing/sheilding off cooldown, if talb wasn't there for grips/offheals/life swaps kollektiv would be trained into the ground by half the comps he's facing.
2nd Kollektivs mana seems to be just about fine on the stream, however this is largely down to talbs offhealing and the fact kollektiv is doing practically nothing but shear/hex/heal/defensive dispel. Theres basically no purges (talbs dispelling most of the important stuff), he's even holding off on the frost shocks etc.
When they faced and lost vs starships it was a long game, and it looked like the only thing keeping starships team alive was the added help from his shadow too.

Shadows currently cover everything we lack, our healing multipliers were too strong and we had too many yet it never got changed. They just destroyed our defensives instead so we could get gibbed without being able to react and made us reliant on a specific spec to partner with.
Our mana is actually quite shit compared to paladins and any non shadow resto shaman comp will oom rather quickly and be very trainable.

Given the damage->healing ratio going around now though i think every healer needs a shadow to be viable. Without them it's just a kfc/cleave gib fest with who can spam cooldowns faster and every other comp getting destroyed.

#3804305 Hildegard is blogging from Shanghai about the BWC tournament

Posted WildeHilde on 13 November 2012 - 04:33 PM

Blizzard invited me to the BWC event in Shanghai as blogger and interviewer. My plane will leave tomorrow around noon and once I'm in China you will see regular updates, interviews and more from me. If everything works out I'll do some video blogs, too. If you want to follow me coverage just use the links below.

Of course I will be visiting AJ regulary. Also send me recommendations, questions, memes and flames. If the internet is working well you will see a lot of coverage by me.

#3349241 Locknotes update for 4.2

I haven't used this since TBC but I figured I'd try my hand at updating it since I'm bored at work:

editing this post since I'm still getting a lot of hits on my apache server, since this post I've re-written the majority of locknotes and, I think, made it a better and more complete addon while still trying to keep it lightweight.  If you want to check it out, you can look at it either on curse or wowinterface here:

And then you also said "n1 blizz   " in the end, implying that it's the wrong decision or what? Not really alot to gather from your original post except that you seem to think it's the wrong decision to remove it "in this current state of rising double healers" even tho it was removed before it's population even went up.

he was just making a sarcastic comment about the whole situation, jesus fucking christ what is so hard to understand

Shadowcleave does AMAZINGLY well against double healer.  But I've only faced 2400ish mmr dub heals

till they 2shot the druid.

i don't see how scleave does well versus the warrior version of double healer - kill the druid/lock/dk np due to warrior retarded damage.

#3013105 [Mage] Mage vs Warlock: Why One is Better in Arena

Mage = 2 seconds of doing absolutely nothing

Lock = 4 seconds where you can still use spell lock, devour, and your dots are still ticking

Locks are outperforming Mages in 3v3 in every way, get real

uh... why don't you get real, mages do more damage than any class in arena. do you have icelance bound? i doubt it, roflmao.

warlocks only have one tree so obviously mages have the advantage in the counter spell/spell lock arms race seeing as we have arcane AND frost.

also mages are so good at controlling the game, we have like 41 novas that aren't even Dr'd, you actually think a dispeler can keep up with that amount of novas? as if. we also have polymorph which is way better than fear because every class has a fear break rendering it almost useless in a lot of situations.

tldr; icelance and infinity novas > locks

Just make your own groups and ninja.

I really hate the "just ninja it" attitude here on AJ. If you're going to make your own group, just don't invite people of your own class. If it's something like DV that you need, say it's reserved. If you're willing and able to go through the hassle of forming a raid for shit you need, it's OK to reserve stuff / class stack. Stealing is just so pathetic.
