One gear upgrade now is the same as getting 4-5 from S12

Gear is so important now it is absolutely impossible for someone in 496 gear to kill even the most braindead of full prideful players, let alone a insta-90'd green char. Best thing to do was to drop MMR, and have your fully geared friend go 1v2 some idiots while you either ran away or attempted to CC shit before you died.

If they think we're going to go spend a day AFKing BGs only to still be nearly fucking useless they're out of their mind. Something needs to be done sooner rather then later or I see alts dieing out quickly

While I understand the debuff thing, since legit 1k rated players were just getting smashed, this just makes me never want to play an alt again

okay, but this is a lazy workaround that makes the game even worse, because it merely increases the amount of necessary keystrokes to two

previously, the command was:

/cast [@arena1] Polymorph

and for simplicity, we'll assume it's bound to 1

now, the command would have to be:
(built in arena1 target keybind) - still bound to 1

/cast Polymorph
let's say this is bound to number pad 7

i'm not sure if there's addon functionality to make one keystroke trigger the commands of two. if there is, the proposed change only means that you have to install an addon that triggers numpad7 after 1 to use your old arena1,2,3 commands

i am certain that keyboards with programmable macro functionality can be set to trigger multiple keystrokes with one actual keystroke, this means that players who don't want interruption in their arena1,2,3 binds merely have to program a key to go 1 to NumPad7. it also means that this is within the scope of legitimate play in tournaments that assume players can use their own peripherals, which seems like a step backwards (disallowing ease of use on live that is legitimate even in LAN tournament play)

it seems to me that unless they remove arena 1,2,3 entirely (which was not what it sounded like was on the table), it would result in a fairly simple workaround for existing players, which increases the amount of work a new player has to do and raises the gap in capabilities for people who play with only the game client vs people who don't

personally, i don't care that much. this seems like more of a non-issue with some of the other obstacles the competitive pvp scene faces, but i suppose i'd be most in favor of removing all arena1,2,3 functionality altogether

Then why do they suggest only removing the macro conditional for arena targets? You wouldn't have to be any more aware than you do now, you'd just need to press an additional key to target and then use your ability. Am I missing something?

I think what he is trying to say is that the entire mechanic removes a lot of the skillcap.

For example, any player can make a target3 silence shot macro and spam it on a priest who guise/mds.

Another example is mages, spam icelance and counterspell macro and the second that person comes in los its on. Or cycling through poly123 until one goes off (a surprising amount of high rated mages do this). Due to new dispel, its actually really beneficial to do this and it is really really easy to do.

It just adds to the immense cc problem. Without 123, you have to know who is where and when you can cc them first or you are wasting time moving focus/target around. Now, you don't have to know where they are because you can just spam it and if it doesnt work then they arent in line or whatever and you wasted no time.

Just a thread made out of curiosity regarding soul swap; do other locks actually enjoy this ability/do you think it's healthy for the game?

I think currently, with the amount of interrupts in the game, soul swap is more of a necessary evil than anything. However, with WoD toning down cc and interrupts in general, i feel like soul swap needs to go or be toned down. If it is going to be dealt with then ignore this, i just havent seen anything related to it.

Personally, i really don't like soul swap, at least in it's current state. It not only rewards people for having a mind-numbing play style, but it just makes interrupts on fears or MG all the more valuable and coveted when you barely cast UA some games. Just curious to see what other people think about the ability as a whole, and the implications for WoD.

*** Next Broadcast - Saturday, April 13th will be on European servers, but may have to be postponed as I may be in the process of moving ***

Hey guys, been a while since posting here but I had an idea I think a lot of people will enjoy and after talking to Conradical and him agreeing to get in on it I decided to go ahead and give it a shot!

The basic idea is that you show up in stream chat with your 3v3 team ready, and when we're picking a game you post your rating and setup in chat and then we'll select two teams around the same rating and cast your games with the regular tournament UI.  It'll be done on US servers for the first week - maybe we'll try EU servers as well assuming we can get accounts and it's popular enough so as long as you're on US servers and willing to add us on battle tag you're eligible to play!  We'll be queuing up using 5v5 wargames so that Conrad and I can join the game and then you'll simply kill us off and the game will proceed like normal as it does in all the online tournaments.

It's going to be on twitch.tv/egazael this coming Saturday at 2 PM EST so please help spread the word and show up! We'll be able to make it better and better and take viewer ideas etc for this if it goes well - also hopefully going to be able to get some relatively high level games for the end of the night - and perhaps have the most popular team of the day fight against a famous team or something like that!

the game simply got old, get over it.

I stopped because of warriors. It isn't terribly fun to go Warbringer -> Shockwave and being unable to peel a gigantic raging beast that can jump on you for 100k damage.

Edit: There are other reasons too, of course, but warriors were a huge factor for me.

I would say that Warlocks are going to be mediocre, will still be outshined by Shadow Priests and Mages, and, worst of all, will still be boring to play.  We need KJC gone, baseline Coil + Howl + Shadowflame, SB:SS gone, and extra damage on DoTs.

both fun healers in the game are crap now. Resto druids really dont bring anything to the team anymore with this change. Disc priests pale in comparison to Shadow priests... lol. Go reroll hpal or rsham.
