Well I really hope 2s is less slow and painful next expansion then. Otherwise I don't see myself ever gearing an alt for PvP

arena the only place where awareness of pos removed by that.

I don't get this part. Do they mean that because you can watch arena frames to monitor cast bars instead of the actual character in the arena, that's how it reduces awareness?

Then why do they suggest only removing the macro conditional for arena targets? You wouldn't have to be any more aware than you do now, you'd just need to press an additional key to target and then use your ability. Am I missing something?

I think it's weird that they're reducing the effect of critical strikes (from 200% to 150% I think?) in PvP, but also adding this new stat. It's like they want to reduce the impact of RNG in the game and at the same time ...don't?

I agree, I think Soul Swap needs to change. I really thought when Blizzard said they would be reducing the proliferation and importance of instant casts in Warlords that Soul Swap would be the first to go; I'm really surprised that so far it still seems to be in.

I didn't mind the Cataclysm version of Soul Swap though. It wasn't nearly as strong to begin with, and there were ways to react to it. Warlocks would save their Soul Swap cooldown for a swap to the enemy healer, and the enemy healer would try to ground it or preemptively use Earth Shield or something. When it was tied to a cooldown it was more predictable, so there were more ways to play around it. That was a cool dynamic I thought. Now that it has no cooldown it requires much less thought and can essentially be spammed without consequence.

Also, another poster in a different thread made a good point about how the new Soul Swap gives warlocks more free globals for Fear than they've ever had before. When getting DoTs up on an entire team requires only a small fraction of your globals, warlocks are more able to Fear with the remainder. I've noticed more complaining about Fear this expansion than any previous one, and I wonder if maybe that's not because of the ability itself but because of it's much greater prevalence this expansion with the new Soul Swap design.

About the dispel mechanic - I don't really have much to say other than as a healer I feel like dispelling this expansion is more mindless than it's ever been. If my partner gets CCed I dispel it, that's about all there is to it. I rarely dispel DoTs to relieve pressure like I did in previous expansions because I need the cooldown ready in case someone gets CCed. If that means dispelling UA, then that's that - it feels more like an unavoidable consequence than a calculated decision. There's really no decisions to be made about when to defensively dispel your team to clear trash buffs or relieve pressure anymore, dispelling just feels really obvious and simple now.
