i played SOOOO much in s15 and i cant remember playing against mw beastcleave, maybe its coz i played only on EU at the time but it seemed every US streamer/twitch chat complained about it, couldnt of been that good if ppl didnt play it on EU, was it like WLS now? - shit on EU but good on US
say mw beastcleave in the mirror three times and you'll summon a flame war between glinkz and dilly
hating a class for 10 years in a row can apparently make you say quite stupid things now and then
I don't know, maybe because mages are more tanky than hunter, have more cc on different school, more mobility, a better offensive dispel since the hunter nerf, have perhaps less burst damage, but more than most of others casters and all instant, and mages players tend to be more pretentious about their class. Instead of spaming icelance like during MoP and pretending to cast something at the end of the game when someone is dead (Frostbolt was like 1% of the total damage during MoP), it's just 2 icenova with a comet storm.
It's like saying "Damn, the hpal's NS is overpowered" when you're playing a resto druid, do you realize how stupid it would be?
Both of these classes, hunters, mages are like you said : "braindead". The difference is that mage did not wait until MoP to be "overpowered". They had some weaknesses during some seasons, but never replacable or bad.
It's too bad Saving Grace is doomed to attract a lot of attention and will be the focus of all the balance discussion for a while. There's just something about seeing an HP bar shoot up 25% instantly that will frustrate a lot of players (and rightfully so) compared to an HP bar that doesn't move much due to having hots up or passive dmg reduction or w/e. It's just too explicit, too visual right there on the HP bars even if it's not that strong compared to the other healer's overall smoother throughput.
But yeah SG is going to be a big dumb loud distraction that will be all over the official forums and shit for weeks and weeks probably and no one will pay attention to the real problems for a while.
Okay how can you even say hls was only good because of hunter like what... even if that is the case that doesn't even matter, look at godcomp. Spriests were nowhere near as strong in other comps as they were in godcomp. HLS beat RMD, Godcomp, LSD, LSM. KFC shits on godcomp, can do well vs rmd, beat lsd, and it can beat lsm. Beastcleave can beat rmd and godcomp as well, with MW lsd is beatable, lsm is a harder match up. Like I don't even get that...
FFS even ret hunter last season beat godcomp, lsm, rmd, and only lost to LSD... But maybe you know better than I do.
i see u play on US. If id play there, would think the same. Playing hunter on us last season for 1 day made me think hunter is 10 times stronger. I did like 70 matches and met mb 5-8 warlocks, 2 lsds. On eu 70% of queues on 3k were locks. So imagine it for your PHP. On us it was fucking faceroll, without full gear and proffesions, with shit ping we did 2.8+ with trade 2.4k priest. All we met as PHP were other hunters and mages that we countered. Trust me, it wasnt even close to this on eu, cos ppl played here REALLY op comps. Idk why u say such bollocks, if u trying to say hunters were and are best class, look at tournaments. @jaime you rl say lsd wasnt godtier? U were duelist, after few months did 3150 as lsd rofl. Now pojke rapes every one in lsd 2.7+ and ur stucked on 2.4+. No more faceroll anymore? PS pojke beats hunters. PS2 i think 12sec traps are broken
Like, if you actually compare trap to mage sheep / warlock fear it is quite obvious wat is op and wat is not. When using sheep or fear, you don't have to aim. You don't even have to face your opponent. As long as you have the required rating to not get interrupted, all you have to do is stay within 30 yard radius of your opponent and it is guaranteed they will get feared / sheeped. Sheep / fear is TECHNICALLY A TRAP WITH 0 SEC COOLDOWN AND 30 YARD RADIUS. Holy moly. Get some IQ, lol.
I remember I had high hopes for this expansion, but then I got slapped in the face by the reality of pve design and "fuck you that's why" neatly packed answers from the devs when asked about balance changes.
We are gonna remove loads of instant crowd control -> 12 sec trap.
Reduce the amount of breakers - > unbound will increased by 60 sec, everything else stays the same.
Ability pruning -> Lets remove all the spells that took skill to use and just leave those out that take absolutely no skill to use. Shadow walk- removed, Shroud- yep, keep that one, much pro, very skill.
Of course, then there is the good old 'never make balance changes because it makes people confused' mentality which lives on.
The only two good changes they made in this expansion is the latency code fix and the removal of symbiosis. Everything else just makes my choice easier when I want to play wow and run dota2 instead. In dota 2 you actually get rewarded for outplaying people, its not the 'every kid gets a participant trophy' kind of game like wow.
