#4582689 Road to BlizzCon 2016 Rules Clarification

Posted joefernandes on 15 May 2016 - 01:44 PM

I think i agree with the roster swap change, just because that the road to blizzcon will be different expansions, so it makes sense for teams being allowed 1 roster change just incase their comps become completely dogshit in the future expansion.

However like everyone else, i think already qualified teams shouldnt be able to participate in other qualification rounds, if the only reason is so they have more incentive to win money then why not put all the qualifier prizepools added to the regionals / blizzcon prizepool instead so we can have a clean qualifiers?

we seriously need to stop them from allowing teams to participate in multiple cups once they have already qualified.
I get the point that they have added prize pools for the online cups (as far as i know) and it isn't too fair not allowing a team who becomes 3rd in the 1st qualifier cup for example to compete for the other cups' prize pools. but personally i'd rather have no prize pool than scummy wintrading, abuse of seeding or bribery, etc. It's just a really really dumb idea and it could ruin the whole road to blizzcon for wow once again.

#4578942 Incoming legacy servers!

Posted Woundman on 26 April 2016 - 10:49 PM

Title is pretty misleading tbh. There is such a small chance blizzard is going to bring legacy servers back. Why? Undermines all their current hard work. They want everyone playing the same expansion. Splitting the community up playing different expansions isn't a good thing, especially with how dead WoW is right now.

People have been asking for legacy servers forever... Why is it such a big deal now? WoW is in a horrible state, that's why... I'm not gonna cross my fingers and hope for legacy servers, because honestly I don't care about them. I love WoW for it's progression and community. I'd rather Blizzard focus on improving the current WoW, especially if it's so difficult for Blizzard to run legacy servers like they said in the OP.

Wait are you for srs? They are removing old models/animatios :(
old models option in legion = current old model faces stretched over new model bodies + new model animations

easiest way for them to get all those shiny new ability and spell animations to work - obviously they could have just left the old models with old animations, but thats clearly something we all think we want, but we don't exDee

rip undead male cast animation 2003 - 2016, you will be missed

#4575447 A Perspective On WoW Arena And Esports

Posted Mageic on 12 April 2016 - 08:44 PM

Great video. I don't agree with 100% of your points but this point I'm this one is something I've felt for a while

The point about WoW arena = dota wc3 mod is something I've been saying for quite a while. It's a completely untapped game type that has die hard fans in an otherwise PvE focused game. If that same game type was better exposed to the competitive gamers out there it would be vastly more popular.

#4572129 Why Blizzard Should Make Legacy Servers

Would rather them make good design decisions moving forward rather than see them turn it into Runescape
