Sadstory, if you don't need your Grommash-murloc pet from Blizzcon, i'm here to take care of him :D

/kiss to all the awesome people i met in Sweden. It was a fucking good week-end for me, despite our miserable loses. (Playing without headset and without his own keyboard - Volta grmblrbmrlb - is not really good :D)

Grats to all the winners :)

And fuck mages.

Ok so the first game vs bloodx his team we shouldn't have lost, I got spell reflected on my silence while I had 3orbs 2mind spikes and shadowfiend and if you saw the vod or game you would have noticed that zeepeye went to 200k without me beeing able to touch him because of the meta reflect silence. Then I show my face for 2 seconds and i get a 84k lightning bolt, 90k lava burst, 73k lightning bolt and randomly flop 'good game desserved to lose right?'

Also the dreamhack staff and blizzard staff told us we where allowed to use everything that was currently in the game and like bluckstack said 'sac/sl' was a better option to go for. + I quote bloodx when a thing like this happend in a previous game 'i would use anything to win the game'.

And as the great and mighty pojke said #playtowin right?

i couldn't care if they used it or not i just find it really funny how desperate they got after the first loss they decided to resort to a bug in order to score wins and im quite surprised that they're willing to be branded by some as that godcomp who used a gamebreaking bug repeatedly in order to win
It's the same when I roar you and your pet and you still cs even though the pet is roared, its a bug but you abuse it so stfu lsd scum

#4210681 ESL/BLIZZARD SCANDAL

Posted Woundman on 18 September 2014 - 01:07 AM

I know a lot of people are really upset with ESL/Blizzard/DDOS'ing, but please try to keep things civil. This is a pretty sensitive subject because of how the players were treated (can't blame you), the more constructive, the better. Thank you <3

#4208743 The Right Thing To Do

Posted Melbyz on 15 September 2014 - 11:55 PM

Hello friends and strangers!

Recently I've read many threads accusing people of ddosing and cheating. I myself has experienced it along with many others (Being ddosed that is). The right way to deal with these things, in my opinion, is to stop playing with the people involving themselves in these kind of activities. It is simple, you exclude them and their partners from RBGs, arenas, bgs etc. Wow is a game enjoyed the most when played with others and if you remove the "others" the game wont be so fun no more. But it is every single wow players responsablity to work against these kind of people rather than joining them.

Jaimexo made a thread just 10 minutes ago about someone in his team being ddosed by Kuliox and for some reason it got removed, and so did my response.

Yet again, this is the only real way to deal with this effective. It's not one person doing it, it won't go away when these people stop. Others will come and all we can do is boycott them as players. Exclude them in every possible way. When they come crawling back with apologizes, we just keep ignoring and excluding them.

#4207777 ESL to host Hammerstein America Finals in the leadup to BlizzCon

Posted WildeHilde on 14 September 2014 - 01:57 PM

The problem is probably that there is no organisation out there that could run smooth WoW tournaments currently. In my opinion organizations like ESL (that can run awesome tournaments) need more guidelines, like hiring experienced tournament organisators, set up rules early enough, have clear ways of communication as well as documentation of the games.

Just from a business side WoW does not look too interesting to host tournaments, especially as people are used to tournaments standards like SC2 has them. The money needed to make that work is a lot higher than the expected revenue.

With the new spectator mode it might be possible to do that but something like Hearthstone is just so much easier to set up and get decent viewer numbers with. It would take a massive effort and a big budget to make WoW tournaments work. The biggest factor in that is the community, there is very little hype around WoW tournaments. I spend my fair amount of time trying but after checking the numbers it would be so heavily dependant on external sponsorship that any organizer would have to do everything the sponsors ask for to pay the bills.

If Blizzard wants to create a tournament scene they need to invest heavily into organizations to build it up. Without financial backing I doubt there is a way to make it work.

I know that this is not a serious post, but i really find it dissapointing blizzard would disqualify two of the best teams in the word with these strange restrictions, takes an edge of the tournament really.
Blizz is not disqualifying anyone. Denmark people are not eligible because some Denmark law. The same reason why I can't play on US tr since I'm from Brazil.
