- It's a real mmo when you level up, you have to play with other people compared to now. False, false, false. You can have your level 60 character by playing alone, by doing 0 group quests or instances, just by doing normal quests. I did it, considering Shadowpriest was not really accepted for PvE because "mumumu, i prefer mage"
- It's rewarding. Rewarding for what? For having a 60 character? It was time-consuming, some classes were painful to level up (priest, warrior, paladin), other not (hunter, warlock, mage), PvE was extremly spec selective, time-consuming too (50% of the raid was farming your fire/nature/frost resistance, potions before, 15% of creating group+Going in the area - 40 peoples -, 15% of killing trash, 20% of killing bosses).
PvP was the same, people who play MORE was more rewarded, considering no inter-realm battleground and no desertor, you were facing the same team over and over after 20min waiting in Tyr's hand.
- "Questing" was not as easy as now. Really? Most of the people here don't read quests, of course it wasn't "easy". But if you did, it was as easy as now. If you really want some old school RPG with hard quests, just play Baldur's gate or Planescape Torment.
I loved Vanilla, but i would never play it again, even if it was free. (And people who know me know that i'm a jew about free things)
