#3853156 The worst team

Posted Radejjj on 24 February 2013 - 07:06 PM

Repent-->hoj-->fear-->silence-->scatter-->trap-->repent-->blind or just kill someone in a shockwave. NO SKILLS GARBAGE

Sap-->fear-->counterspell->deep->poly-->blind or kill someone in the opening cheapshot. SO MUCH SKILL OMG HE FEARED AND THAN THE MAGE DEEPED HIM BEST PLAYERS FGPFJS}PJMF}PSF

Kfc is a joke, but the notion that rmp in wotlk took skill is absurd, it was the exact same thing as any other stupidly op comp. It had a really high skill CAP, but the floor was obscenely high aswell.

KFC/RLS/Triple dps/atc/beastcleave/rmp during their respectively overpowered seasons are all the same, though to be fair Ive never seen a single comp be legitimately like 80% of the teams queuing like with KFC.

#3852029 when 5.2 hits, some one make a mage guide.

Posted Justwoo on 21 February 2013 - 04:35 PM

step 1 shoot sperm at paladin
step 2 throw swifty orb
step 3 send him to the ice age with a deep freeze and unleash your wizard powers with ice lances and instant swifty bolts
step 4 (the hardest part) if u are truly skilled the wizards of azeroth will empower you and you will be able to smuggle the poor pally with a blanket proceeding to his death

#3849188 Anyone else realize...

Posted Owies on 14 February 2013 - 10:06 PM

You bring up a good point, but just last week i was wondering Has anyone else realized that Ret pally's are the only two handed melee who really get shafted on the weapon chain deal? Dk's have their runes, warriors their glove bonus, and the other melee have two weapons to put it on their off hand. I guess an argument can be made that warriors damage is ALL melee weapon damage.. but what about DK's in comparison to ret? Just a thought

#3845266 I remember when

Posted Thaya on 05 February 2013 - 10:26 PM

I wrote this for a nostalgia thread on my first realms forum. It'll feel incomplete to you guys because I'll only put the part that doesn't have anything to do with the realm, but yeah.

Ah, I still enjoy the delicate process of creating a fresh character. Spawning in the starting zone, with the default interface, and with sound enabled and music playing... The music! The music alone takes me away! You should try this someday - enable music and fly into your first starting area. My mind starts remembering those first moments by itself, it feels like time travel; it's not just flashbacks, I literally feel the same emotions that I have 7 years back. Flashbacks are merely a result of this... re-living, I guess I can call it that.

No, I insist. Try this:

Do you understand what I'm talking about?

Or maybe this is more like it?

The fascination. Being fascinated about the scale of everything: the roads, the fences, the bushes, the trees, the buildings - you could enter and explore almost every house! Nothing felt small, nothing felt like a toy. I remember looking up all the time because the trees looked amazing to me. It was almost weird at first - no online game before had these proportions. Damn, I can't even think of a single player game released before 2004 where the open world felt so real. It wasn't just oversized, naked, copy pasted and half empty, it was the opposite of all of that. And you felt like a part of it. You weren't oversized compared to the environment, you weren't bigger than the NPCs. You felt like you're playing a character that is an integral part of the game world, a huge, exciting world, and the scale made it believable.

Being surprised by new content. Every. Single. Time. Every time you dinged a couple of levels and moved on to the next zone, you would be blown away by the new textures, new environment, new objects, new sky, new enemies, new music. The moment you got bored of the old zone and sighed with relief that it's finally over and you're being sent somewhere else, you would discover a zone that looked completely new, and you couldn't help but feel excited about it like you would be about a new game. Do you remember entering the race capitals? Not the new expansion ones, the original four. I would lose hours in those cities just to look at the architecture. All of them felt so alive.

swifty would kick that teams ass

#3841027 possibly the best rated bg comp?

Posted sneakysnipe on 27 January 2013 - 01:35 AM

4 rogues 3 spriests 3 resto druids

4 rogues for 4 shadowsteps so they can shadow step to one rogue drop it ect... 3 priests so they can spam grip the rogue with the flag and 3 druids so they can get life grip from the priests and spam life grip the rogue.. easy fast cap

also fear sap and cyclone dont share dr so they could cc the whole team

i think this might be overpowered though and should get nerfed.. possibly a timer on how fast you can cap a flag

#3840835 Spectator mode - Firefall sets a good example

Posted WildeHilde on 26 January 2013 - 12:21 PM

Recently I came across a video about the spectator mode of the game Firefall. While I have pretty much no idea what the game is about or what other features it has - the spectator mode looks amazing. This is what I would love to see for WoW in the future. Not much more to say, have a look.

I really hope that the WoW devs keep up their history of implementing succesful features from other games. Thanks to Zwacky for the link.
