Biggest thing that made me quit Arena was just because of how bland it is. Its so uncompetitive right now, theres really no fun, and for good reason.
The game is split into 2 games, PvP or PvE. Its hard for Blizzard to pursue both, and obviously (through the years you could tell) they chose to create a PvE casual game instead of pursueing a competitive e-sport or something similar to that with arena.
With them going months on end without fixing simple bugs like Spirit link vs smoke bomb was apparently a bug that lasted all of cata? Why would anyone wanna continue to play a game where it takes them literally months, up to years to fix things like that?
If you were anything like me, I played arena since late burning crusade. Now, I played arena up until the end of s10 competitively. But after so long, you start to get depressed on howmuch Blizzard really cares about Arena. You start to ask yourself "why even bother?". But really, why even bother with Arena anymore? You get annoyed, frustrated that X class is broken and how it'll take Y amount of time before Blizzard even looks into it, let alone fix or balance it.
So for me, I gave up after a while. When a new game came out (league of legends for me), that showed they were serious about being a competitive game, I decided to jump on that band wagon. At least they fix imbalances within a few weeks (normally), and they actually care about the competition of the game.
TL:DR- Participation will decline as more and more people realize that Blizzard simply doesnt care enough about Arena itself to keep it an ongoing thing, and like most things after 10 years of playing, it gets old.
you're a complete retard, a 3k frost shadow cleave lost to an ele lsd(shit) and how does going outside have anything to do with screenshots you fucking idiot
I think your team was the very first LSD (ele version) we fought in cata. It was quite a surprise to see that burst coming. We since then had a start worked versus ele LSD, we even beat nuvoz/thugonomix/chris in a series after we figured out the strat the works for us.
On a side note, why do people care so much about cata arena so much? This game has lost its competitiveness years ago.

@Ardennes Washed up s4-s5 glad rogue why are you still posting here?
@Innovator did in fact ebay his rogue, he is 15-16 years old as i've heard his parents yell at him to give off the pc and he begs for 5 more mins. This puts him at the age of 10-11 when he "picked up" his rank 1 title. You do the math. He will ignore this post and bust out the ad hominems and make light of the situation because it is in fact true.
I was kicked off the team for calling the rogue on ebaying. Him and tygaman have their fingers so far up each others asses, rogue whines to tyga about being trolled and inno takes daddy's credit card to xfer a new lock.
@Kekkleys You are a HORRIBLE priest, the fact you manage to get glad every season astounds me altho it's quite a shitty bgroup. But despite all that you run around running your mouth when you're in fact terrible excuse for a priest and get farmed by a glad boost team with a 2500 warrior and a 2200 sham. Keep ignoring that fact though. Lose the ego you're pure shit and I will wargame or snipe you anyday and stream the farming.
Thanks for my alt priests glad, bird shit warrior. I remember farming you guys specifically for 4 wins post 2700 as dk-priest-rogue.
Fact of the matter is, you have absolutely no room to talk. The one glad title you do have isnt even legit, s9 glad? Its interesting how the one season YOU got gladiator was the biggest joke of a season WoW has ever seen. Once more, you probably mmr bugged to it as well, otherwise you'd be glad multiple seasons, and not just the one season where MMR bugging was popular.
Wouldn't surprise me if you were a 62% w/l s9 gladiator because of your awesome 2900 mmr. I farmed kids like you who are shit with decent mmr (that was bugged) to get my rank 1 in s9.
Really the only time MLS should kill Shadowcleave is if they kill the shaman, the lock an dk have enough cds along with the shaman to survive any kind of cc/burst they have.
The most successful strat thats worked for my shadowcleave has been, sit the mage, interrupts on lock. If the shaman (on the MLS team) dispels a UA, and you have an AMS up, swap to him.
Against good MLS, you will not be able to stick the shaman without using AMS.
Basically, if there mage never gets to shatter, you should never lose. Deny the mage of doing anything, save spell locks for either the shaman, or for when the mage deep freezes. MLS should only really be able to get a kill on your shaman in a deepfreeze, if you hold spell lock, or filter through cooldowns accordingly every deep freeze your shaman should survive.
I should also add that if your shaman gets swapped to in a deep freeze with no hots, its almost impossible to recover versus any decent MLS.
P.S- Make sure your shaman is stopping as much warlock damage as possible, while your DK (sittin on the mage) is stopping the mages damage. Even spam dispel dots, even UA's (but make sure you're near a pillar to LoS so you dont get cc'd or swapped too!).
News at 11: Some people didn't play this game forever and season 8 could have been their first season of arena. Also later in the news. An FMP gets rank 1 with an 80% win loss with half shadow gear and feral with honor gear!
To be fair, your feral druids honor gear is 371, which was the best gear available when you climbed the ladder to 2841. So bringing up his honor gear means nothing. If you did climb the ladder in 371 when everyone else was in 384 it would be different.
