I think it should be a non-gcd active ability which allows you to Spellsteal free of cost for X seconds (4-5?) or whatever is "balanced", fully cleaning out 6-7 gcd's from a druid in one button is too strong.
I'm just legit curious what you guys who got rank 1 on 3-8 (yeah, some guys on EU have 8 chars of the same fucking class in r1-cutoff) characters get out of it? Would be cool if someone could be arsed actually checking how many people got r1 in total, not counting alts.
I really like this. The biggest issue in WoW is the fact that its really complicated to see through the reasoning why a player decided to press button A instead of button B. This is where the dunning kruger effect should be referenced.
This is the reason why less skilled/intelligent/experienced players look at K:D, DPS, HPS and try to build a correlation to skill. A game with so many layers of decision making cannot be just broken down to a number like DPS.
In PvE you always had players applying from #1 realm guilds thinking they were the best player in the world with 99th percentile rankings. One look into the Logs (Worldoflogs, warcraftlogs) showed the truth behind those rankings and often times revelead that they dont even manage to get a perfect opener (wrong prioritization of skills in the first 30 secs of a fight) or fail often to mitigate dmg taken etc.
It comes down to the fact that those players never reflect on their mistakes and never had motivation to improve because of the illusion of beeing already the best.
When i played CS:GO in 2015 my goal was to get to GE by soloqueing. After getting into LE i watched my demos and came to the conclusion that my aim sucked even though i made good decision and had good positioning. So i could either go on aim maps and work on my aim or work on my strengths (Reading the enemy, tactics etc.). So before i played more matchmaking i started practicing smokes, flashes, molotoves on every single map. I worked on my communication and always made sure that people knew whats happening and what to smoke / popflash. After that i played around 50 more games of MM and got into global (which was only 97th percentile back in 2015).
Without reflecting and really trying to understand the game you wont improve and you will also never be able to assess somebodys skill.
Ya, I read up on D-K effect back in cata when I had enough of certain people, just gotta keep it in mind. It's also interesting to see to what extent people actually identify themselves with their ingame achievements and status, I guess you can learn a lot about human behavior from playing this game. Or watching kids play in the sandbox at a daycare.
Always interesting to hear people's opinion of eachother in this game and community.
Honestly, there is arguably no way of proving who "the best" is of a certain class, as everyone has their own opinion and view the game from their point of view. Some people love players with beastly mechanics, others prefer "smart" players making clever setups and small tactical plays to win them the game, others rely on predicting the game and knowing all the ins and outs of every class (combined with knowledge of certain players playstyle after playing a lot vs them, for example one of the top FLS's don't focus on killing pets vs mages, whereas another one makes their life depend on it) and working around it.
Just drop the flaming, play to have fun and compete, don't generalize and judge someone off of one mistake - it just makes you look incompetent.
So much this, I thought I only had friends on my new skype, turns out that isn't the case... Really sad with how rotten some of the people in the community are and generally just the toxicity level around here.

I would love to have the current Fist of Justice baseline, and all talents would change it by something like : Talent 1 : Fist of Justice is now a physical effect. Talent 2 : Fist of Justice is now a fear effect. Talent 3 : Fist of Justice is now a disorient effect.
Edit: Rets should be the destro warlocks of melee imo, big fat damage that's rather easy to avoid but lethal if set up properly
