#3693370 Differences between ATR & Live

Okay there is a difference between accusations and facts.

Fact 1: You're name before frat was wonderwoman. You were the warlock that played fire mls the start of s10 to low end glad rating (with a bad win loss and high mmr) and never q'd again.
Fact 2: Rawkus actually has played your warlock and STREAMED it on twitch.tv
Fact 3: You spend all of your day posting on AJ about how bad/mediocre players are... Ironic.
Fact 4: You suck

After spending so much time on Team Liquid forums and being a member of that community, it's literally painful to come back to AJ and read things like this, rather then trying to declare who is bad, no one ever cares about improvement, it's always how bad the other player or players is and not what you yourself can do to improve your game.

Regardless of if what you say is true, you're attempting to slander someones name on an internet forum, if you truly believe that you are in fact a better player then the person you're attempting to insult, grow a pair stop acting like a child and attempt to help improve his play let it be from watching him play and giving him tips to simply just telling him you're willing to help play vs them to get some practice and a better understanding of the game, show them you actually are a better player but that you also aren't a complete faggot because i'm sure you wouldn't walk around acting like that in real life.

The attitude that this community carries anymore is literally killing WoW arena, it's not just the game.

#3681772 class balance and flamers

Posted Filovirus on 10 April 2012 - 09:15 AM

Before you read my post, I would just like to say that this post is in no way meant to be elitist, I am just making a statement about the community and game.

It is really unfortunate to see so many people trying to make claims regarding what comps are "tier 1" or "tier 2" without actually being able to play at that level themselves.

The biggest problem with this community is that everyone assumes they are always playing to the best of their class/spec's abilities. No one can take a step back to consider that just -maybe- they aren't at a top tier level of play. Everyone talks shit, everyone thinks they are right, it is unfortunate.

Here is an example. Talb's Shadowplay is by far the best Shadowplay in this game. This is not open to debate. However, I guarantee there are a LOT of players that run this comp and make claims and assumptions about the viability of Shadowplay. They firmly believe that they are playing the comp properly, and every loss is because of some sort of game imbalance or something they believe to be overpowered.

Here is another example, for those of you that are familiar with Starcraft 2.

A diamond league Zerg player is continually losing to a Protoss player that goes all-in. The Zerg player doesn't have the apm or build down to prevent this. The Zerg player determines that because he cannot think of a way to win, Protoss must be completely overpowered and it can never lose to Zerg. He doesn't take a second to think about -his- level of play. At a Grand Master's level of play, every Zerg knows what to do if they see a Protoss is going to all-in. They have much better micro and apm to make this possible, as well as much more practice.

TLDR: Until you play x comp or y class at a top level of play, you are not a credible source of information on said topic. Try new strategies, adjust your playstyle, or change your gear/spec/glyphs. Keep an open mind. There is almost always something you can do to change the outcome of a matchup. I have encountered very very few matchups that are unable to overcome a disadvantage to pull out wins. This applies to RLS, DKLS, LSD2, and Shadowplay. I promise you it applies to various non-lock/shaman compositions too.

Edit: Yes, there are a few classes that are simply not competitive right now. Warriors are definitely bottom of the barrel when it comes to DPS classes, and Holy Paladins + Resto Druids are not good whatsoever.

After I explicitly stated I don't care about titles and we've "discussed" this phenomenon, now you claim I've been "traumatized" by players with glad titles. What kind of "trauma" causes you to have feelings of apathy towards the source of "trauma"???

And how the fuck do you become traumatized by a game in the first place? a bunch of max level gladiators kidnapped my feeble level 45 gnome mage, locked it in a cellar, and preceded to gank it mercilessly?

And of course, the icing on the cake -- there's really no big deal about it. EXACTLY what I've been writing in every single post I made in this thread, the same notion you've been rejecting in all your posts, until... this one!

In this one, "evidently", the tides have turned. Now all of the sudden I'm the one who considers titles to be a big deal, due to an alleged trauma I've experienced in WoW, and it's you who now claims it's not a big deal after advocating for the exact opposite in all of your previous posts.

My condolences to your family. May you somehow find your place and be a contributing member of society.

You can use big words and post an actually well written thing in here (despite said post not being too meaningful), but it won't change the fact that if you didn't care about the bloody titles you wouldn't be on the only forum in the world that differentiates between players with and without a title.

You and everybody else that follows in your footsteps should do us all a favor and just stop advertising how you couldn't care less about pvp, rewards and accomplishments.

another expansion where they're saying all the right things (for the most part)time will tell if this is another strategy or if it actually does get betteri really liked the part where they concluded that pve trinkets shouldn't even be thought about in pvp, but that also scares me that pvp trinkets might get crazy insane
