#3805434 Blue Post Update regarding MMR Exploiters/ MMR Reset

Posted Saikx on 15 November 2012 - 11:20 AM

http://us.battle.net...opic/7118303086
  • Arena team deletion
  • Character MMR reset to 1500
  • All Conquest gear removed
  • Conquest earned tally reset, as well as all Honor and Conquest points removed.
  • All Arena achievements earned since the beginning of Mists of Pandaria removed.
  • 3 day suspension

Dont know If anyone posted that yet, if someone did, just delete this post.

Nice to see that they reset MMR and achievements also, but  what will they do with the "legit" 3k teams?
Queueing into wintraders on purpose like 20+ times to get 3k Rating is to me the same as wintrading, just reset them to 1500 or 2200 if they were above 2200 imo.

what i got out of this tourney:

fear is so good that shamans instantly become the best healer because of a totem
mages and demo locks can solo people
as retarded as warriors are, they are still no match for caster cleaves
this game is going to suck for awhile if blizzard doesnt reduce healing and the effectiveness of cooldowns by at least 30%

You are aware that cara went there as a ret pala, and pretty much started to play warrior recently right? I mean he played great, very impressed but this happened mostly because people qualified on cata and played the tournement on mop.

Do you think snutz would have won this easily otherwise? If the qualifications were on mop as well, there would be a hell lot of more warriors, hunters and mage/shadow priest teams. The fact that they lost in the finals doesn't mean at all that warriors are not superior.

If anything another/zunn and cara are the real champions of this tournement, they all changed their main classes and apart from another the other 2 had never played their new classes before mop yet they managed to get to the finals.

dude, hilde, i saw a picture of you. i don't understand why you have to insult other people when you're looking like a "blight-colored-nerd" yourself. dyel????   besides i'm 100% sure boosting doesn't destroy the pvp scene of this game, there's boosting going on in other successful games aswell (think LoL). and i'm also not so sure how somebody that plays computer games professionally and has to train multiple hours every freaking day (ocelote, oddone, reckful or pros of other games - they are all pasty and skinny looking) shouldn't look like a nerd, because that's exactly what they are - nerds, which is not a negative thing per se.

I did not react on all of your negative comments on boosters, but this one is just over the top. You're generalizing so much that I am seriously questioning your attitude and start thinking that you are one of the biggest retards on AJ.

1. Boosters are not more nerdish than normal WoW players, actually 90% of the people that are in Shanghai atm that you consider as "stars" are boosting actively.
2. Do you even realize that nearly every single booster does not want to rely completely on WoW in their lives? It is simply not possible for everyone to put that much time and effort into earning money with streaming 10h/day, doing youtube videos, etc like Reckful who is doing very well with it. Me and 95% of the ppl I boost with are going to school or university at the same time and just want to earn some free cash while playing WoW. Boosting is the only way to earn money without putting too much time into this shit game.
3. You won't see nonboosters in tournaments because the people that will dominate in tournaments are always gonna boost because they are the only people that get the high €/h boosts and they are the only people that are good enough to do them fast. Another is the biggest booster in entire EU and he was dominating last 2 regionals, the only reason Skenz/Khuna/Flubbah (who boost 24/7 aswell) didnt qualify over Pwny/Boetar/Blukstack (who boost sometimes aswell) is because of bad brackets and comp, it will happen very rarely that only average teams like this go to top 2. Every big tournament name in WoW in the past was boosting (Enigmz, Fabio, Another, Inflame,  Xandyn, Hydra, not sure about US but I am pretty sure they are boosting alot aswell).

Just my 2 cents, you are really pissing me (and even people that do not boost) off with all of your insults, but I guess that is what you intend with it. Just keep it to yourself.

Ok, I just set my tech up in the hotel. Will be meeting the players later on. Currently they are at a shooting. Seems like many websites (Facebook, Twitter, eu.battle.net) are blocked from China and currently I try to find out how to circumvent that.

The hotel is really good and Blizzard did an outstanding job in that regard. See the view from my room:
