#3747965 WoW 2012 European World Championship Results

Posted Takulol on 21 August 2012 - 08:42 PM

Enough said about this shit event, we ended up losing everything because we didn't get these headset to mute background sounds so we couldn't hear each other at all on skype. Not even mentioning people tapping on my shoulder when I was playing because we were too close to the alley.
We definitely had the worst conditions we could have had and our moral was down to zero while playing.
We almost left after losing the first serie because it was senseless.

Fortunately I had the chance to meet cheerful and nice people otherwise it would have been terrible.

#3747771 Should the eligibility requirement for gladiator be updated next season?

Posted hertzuk on 21 August 2012 - 02:42 PM

Merging BG's would be the best thing they could do for wow pvp.

They nearly got this far when they introduced cross BG queues, but then they fucked it up with the queue time and stuff.

#3747490 Should the eligibility requirement for gladiator be updated next season?

Posted e130478 on 21 August 2012 - 02:33 AM

The problem with setting a standard 0.5% requirement for gladiator is that it doesn't bode well when arena participation itself fluctuates. No doubt, we have seen the reality of this problem in season 11. As arena activity has dwindled, so too has the amount of gladiator spots made available come season end.

In order to remedy this issue, should the percentage fluctuate based upon the activity of each battlegroup? With no sign of a WoW resurgence in sight, should the gladiator qualifier tentatively raise to 1%?

Hi everyone, first i wanna thanks everyone that supported me and my team i really appreciate it and thats prolly one of the few reason that makes me keep playing this game.
Secondly i wanna tell to Azael and Conradical that they are insane commentators and such nice guys too.
Then im gonna go into the depth part.
Blizzard made ESL organize the event this year, and it was probably the worst thing they couldve done, it had a direct impact on the tournament results and specially for me and my team.
Im just gonna explain from the begining, and before trashing the whole WoW ESL Staff because they are all (almost) a bunch of incompetents wankers i wanted to say that i don't think Shawn is even tho he is the main admin, if you read this Shawn i know you tried your best and i know everytime i asked you something ( and some things were really annoying ) you tried to find a way for me and i rly appreciate it.
So im not even gonna talk about the communications and the plane books tickets because i just had to pay a few hundred more and thats nothing compared to the rest.
Won't talk too about the fact that the ESL car let us in germany from the airport when our rooms weren't ready before 4hours because i can maybe understand that they couldnt book a later flight and that the rooms can't get free before 2pm.
But im gonna talk about the ESL saying that they will fix everything for us, not even paying us food, not even telling us that they won't, not even giving us gamescom pass, sendings us cabs that they didn't even pay and that we had to pay when they arrived etc etc
But all of that didnt rly had any influence on the tournaments results expect that some people were prolly tired and hungry cause of it.
The worst part is that every person i met from the ESL at the tournament except Shawn were clueless retards, specially the main admin of the WoW Tournament that wasn't even watching the games to see if anyone cheats or something like that, that same guy i had to yell for 3 minutes straight at to get a headset that isolate the sound ( thats when it get interresting ).
We started the tournament by facing teams we knew we would beat, then we came up against another's zunn's cara's dk ret priest, one of the best team in the tournament and one of the 2 team we werent 90%+ sure to beat.
The thing is we played it on groupstage for some reason while they were on the stage, and the main thing is that the ESL didnt give headset that isolate the sound to everyone, only on stage, and the sound was even louder in groupstage, basicly i couldn't hear my warlock at all in those game so was funny realising that he wanted to go priest after the game because he had nice cross cc on ret, im not saying we wouldve won 100% and we lost cause of ESL but i know they didnt even let us a chance to win by not paying few $ more to get headsets for everyone because it was obvious that gamescom will be loud?
So i just practiced alot of months for no reason, because of some imcompetants wankers that should get fired as we speak.
The worst part is that after we lost 3 0 against another ( and thats this 3 0 that will make us loose our place in China at the end ) i went to see this retard esl admin and i yelled at him for 3 minutes straight, he wasnt even answering to me probably shitting in his pants because he is such a clueless retard, then he finally got me a headset few minutes after but it was too late, i already lost because we ended up facing double shaman (yea because blizzard allows class stacking and triple dps, making clickers able to beat players that are years away from them) and we obviously lost because double shock grounding tremor is just too much for a warlock to get the pressure off( plus the fact that we can't kill their resto shaman in this comp cba explaining now why ).
If you care a tiny bit about doing tournaments, you should at least try to do it properly, that means do it yourself (Blizzard) like every year or just don't do it, but for players its a pain in the ass to practice for so long and get stomped for silly reason at the end of the day.
Start by listening to players or at least read other popular's tournament rules.
And please dont let the ESL organise it ever again.
Oh yeah, our hotel was fucking horrible too when the sc2 player were in a good one, we didnt even have the clim in a lot of rooms with an insanely hot weather.
and thats just a part of it

Anyway was fun meeting a lot of people there , i even ended up liking people i hated online...
I still have some good memories even if we got fucked in the butt...

ps:sry for my english mistakes i had to write it fast im not at home atm

Nice link from Dreamz there in the third match in the end there. Very well timed and perfectly executed by a skilled player.

Thats nothing new, thats what you call a "dreamz" link

Also its quite funny watching Swapxy pov when he clicks his targets /  focus in the top left corner, takes 10 seconds the move the mouse and then when he summons his wolfs he sits and clicks the wolf-bash
