Didn't we already learn that being a pure blood means literally nothing in terms of succes in life or wizardry by looking at harry potter. I mean seriously, you two need to stop comparing wand size and just let it go. You're not really even discussing/debating who is wrong or right, at this point you're just throwing logic at eachother without any "real" attempts to come to a conclusion. You both had valid points but there is no real winner in this no matter how much further you take it. Agree to disagree?
Being a pureblood does not make you different than any immigrant being born in the very same country, yes.
Having a family history that goes way back does give you certain views and beliefs, yes.
Does this seperate people regardless of their "ethnicity", yes.
If you both agree on it being essential that you respect someone's idea of being linked to a certain nationality then what is all the fuss about. Whether you read racism in certain posts or not; you both seem to accept other ethnic groups and their choice to have the same nationality as you have. Let it go xoxxoxoxo
Numbers matter for lots of things, but like others have implied - millions of X doing Y doesn't make Y good/bad. Raw counting is a primitive operation but a good indicator for popularity. Its a well-established quantifier for MMORPGs. For arena/pvp in this kind of genre, it -is- all about the numbers game.
On a macroscopic scale: You lose subs --> you lose social interactions --> you lose queues --> you lose stuff to do = boring and less fun for most ppl --> you lose the point of logging on. Pretty soon you even lose the point of keeping WoW's 30+ GB installed.
Subscription count is like your most significant raw input to the "fun equation" for MMORPGs. The game can be shitty and buggy and unplayable or it can be amazing, but if no one else gives enough fucks to play --> you're basically a single player indie product on steam.
Sub count feeds into estimators for popularity/activity across all sub-genres within the WoW game environment (PvP vs. PvE vs. AH gaming vs. pet battles etc.). True, a quote of 2 million "subs" quickly whittles down and loses some predictive power and objectivity. Removing multiple accounts, misc. random noise, etc. --> reduces the numbers to ~200,000 semi-active, casual players with unique IDs. That drops down even further when you start looking at sessions logged, what hours/time logged-on/off, and instances queued. By the time you start looking at the % subset of people actually doing arenas for more than points cap or anything semi serious, you get to a very small pool of players...
In 2016, being an S18 gladiator means you're in the top 1% of a pool of maybe 15,000 remotely active arena players. So that's a lot fewer tryhards than say S8 gladiator where there were probably 200,000 people who could properly be considered competitors. And by a lot I mean like several sigma on a normal curve. Basically, being good/thebest at something that few people try at is a lot less statistically impressive then being good/best at something that everyone has to do anyway.
Like others have stated, Legion will roughly be about 1/2 as popular as WoD was. Final nail in the coffin for PvP, but I guess still a decent PvE option for fans of western-centric MMORPGs. In Legion like in WoD, if you're 2800+ you'll know all the 30 relevant people in the PvP world. Most will already be on your bnet flist. The other 5000 tryhards will be essentially scattered throughout no-name elo hell. Thats not something thats going to be solved unless you get a full purge or go back to basics (i.e. private servers).
the really fat whore with the glasses was asking for donations in order to reach $60,000 to get to blizzcon, when someone asked her why do you need that much for blizzcon she replied "i want to go with a private plane because i feel uncomfortable flying with other people"
the 60k message was rolling on the top of her screen, she later just changed it to 70k
then she said it was her dream from since when she was a kid, and shes been "playing" for like only a few years or smth
took 1 look at her stream for 2mins and already knew who she was, incredibly STUPID ( not only saying it as an insult, but literally really really dumb ) slut who makes money off of virgins donating to her cleavage, most disgusting shit i ever came across on twitch since that emo kid rubbed one out on cam
If anything, this entire thread should just be evidence that the rating requirement needs to come back to post things here. Anyone who truly in their mind believes that rogue mobility is better than warrior, needs to be in the Ask a Gladiator Section, because their knowledge of the games mechanics are mediocre at best. :/

It's amazingly hard to take women talking about equal gender rights seriously.
yea it's because of the twitch streams when i want to keep women quiet about their rights i always bring up the fact that (sometimes) there are (some) women with the most watched vod clips in the world of warcraft portal of twitch.tv
i mean people advocating gender equality...who can make that argument when the atrocities of twitch.tv are going on in our generation
