Should be Tuesday/Wednesday night as it always has been - I'd be really surprised if they randomly ended the season 15 hours before the servers go offline.
I just think it's a mistake of copy pasting the "arena season end" post from US forums to EU forums, and since the customer support people are clueless they just read off that post when they misinform people
Ability pruning removes alot of counterplay and smart individual performance, making the game "bland and scripted"
In MoP you could do 100000 things to outperform an opponent individually, minor things like curse of exhaustion into fear, or save cds until opponent wasted disarm to get full value and uptime during them.
This also meant that you could punish greedy/worse players and the gap between someone who was actually good and bad was significantly higher.
Just doing damage was a whole chapter of its own, a warrior had to actively choose between slam/heroic strike/overpower, and as any dotclass you had to take dotsnappshotting into consideration to get max value
Now? Press MS off cd and tabrend people, as a warlock you just press buttons all the time, and since your dots scale dynamically you might aswell go brain afk and press ur cds whenever you feel like it
Also, your arguments are a bit counterproductive since ability pruning actually strengthen specific comps versus other comps, creating more of a "rock paper scissor" environment, if you had more options to outplay opponents, you'd be able to play less good comps but still do really well because of better players outplaying worse opponents.
Stand far in the back, summon a port & gate, if you get gripped you insta port back On smaller maps (especially EOTS), use soulburn when it's 2 sec left till the bubble bursts and mount up, this way you can instantly haunt when you get to middle and will have 3 shards left since one will regenerate when you're on your mount.
On other maps, try to get a full row of pandemic dots (apply them twice on the same target to extend their duration to full) - then soul swap them the amount of times you feel comfortable, don't worry about blowing all your shards in the first teamfight, your proc-trinket should go off after the first few dot ticks, and you can line it up instantly with your dark soul.
Your other dark souls should be lined up with your proc trinket for max damage, if you somehow starve shards alot, don't soul swap that much, if you desperately need a shard:
Apply corruption to a target and cast drain soul for big chance of nightfall proc Run into meleerange and freecast till you get interrupted and get a shard from your set-bonus
Prioritize getting agonies up since it's your hardest hitting dot and all healers can't decurse. It's immune to mass dispel and revival. Other then that, just tab dot alot (rhyme not intended). Playing like this and utilizing all your tools (double CS whatup) can single handedly carry your team to victory
Since soulburn haunt also works with pandemic, you don't lose any uptime if you refresh it when it's 10 sec left or less, so aim to refresh it during this period. (it extends to 40sec max).
Also, don't be a faggot who cs's other warlocks. Just cs their healers. ty
Here's a video if you'd like to see, it's pretty bad though since i do a few mistakes, and i fucking hate that map as a warlock
Eh, you people should probably go to the PTR before jumping to conclusions, the change might just be to tune melees into the same level as casters due to gear scaling differences, wizards might just be really fucking strong with the new gear, noone knows how this'll play out in practice, therefore it's so retarded to write stuff like "TURBO GOT BUFFED LOL HAHA KAPPA 4HEAD"
