In Topic: How to get my healer to stop QQing - Improving Positioning

02 November 2012 - 06:48 AM

With cataclysm the game got very instantcast-heavy.
Now what i noticed while playing with people with less experience, or even experienced people that didnt play before cataclysm is that they tend to always move while casting instant spells. While this is not bad at all it can have a very bad impact on your positioning. While moving around people tend to lose the thought in their movement, they just move around in circles spamming their spells. This makes it hard for healers toproperly pillar-hug, because the LoS ankle always changes, and its unpredictable because (as i said before) there is no thought behind it.
How can you fix that?
-Try to stand still from time to time even when you could actually move, and only move when you really feel the urge to do so.
-Play a bit more wotlk-style, a cast heavy style, where you spam more sheeps or frostbolts and less icelance (Even though this is not the most effective playstyle at most situations it can improve your mindset and comprehension in positioning, and when you feel that you improved you can get more into the world of instantcraft)
