In Topic: WoG healing increased by 25%

05 December 2014 - 07:48 PM

I just finished playing TSG as Holy and this is what i see:

My unbuffed FoLs heal 23k without any procs up, my Ret FoLs heal 29k. That pretty much means they will be the same as Holy after the 20% nerf. Weird.
I bubbled and proceeded to spamheal myself. By the time the bubble ended, I still hadn't crossed 70% hp.
I have no idea what WoG is for.
I literally just stood there spamhealing, because I couldn't keep up with any decent pressure.

At one point, I just decided that I'm not gonna ruin the other 2 guys' evening, said that I'm obviously bad and left.

I'm not even mad. I mean, not being able to even remotely top yourself up while bubbled, wtf?

Just buff melee + caster synergy. Problem solved. One guy suggested that it could be done by melee providing caster dps buffs and vice versa. The change would be subtle enough to still allow cleaves, but promote melee caster playstyle. Example: Unstable Affliction now increases physical damage done to the target by 5%. I know it wouldn't work exclusively (aka assa rogues doing shitloads of poison dmg or rets having most of their dmg holy, but thats why it should be just a subtle change).

Considering Rets. If you remove double hands, selfless healer and give them 1 min forbearance, they will just vanish out of existence. It's their niche, protecting teammates. That's like saying: Mages are overrepresented, pls remove polymorph, pet nova and frostbolt slow.

I think the 20% FoL Nerf is more than enough. Using it without 3 stacks of selfless healer or on yourself now pretty much doesn't make any sense. Nerfing Selfless Healer from 20/40/60 to 5/10/15 while keeping FoL as is would've made much more sense. It would also make sacred shield a viable choice again.

So, according to this thread, the OP, ridiculous, broken or retarded classes are:

Pala, DK, Rogue, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Druid

also, Prot dispel is OP.

Seems like a pretty balanced season thus far, with poor monks and shaman being undertuned.

I don't get it guys.

#showtooltip Hand of Sacrifice
/castsequence [@TEAMMATE] reset=2 Hand of Sacrifice, Turn Evil

Is working perfectly. Swap the 2 for a 1 if you wish to be able to use the second Sac even faster. I put 2 there to err on the side of caution.

You claim rets healing on themself is shit when they still literally crit heal for 50k flash of lights on themselves.

But that isnt the biggest problem you say that you should "just train the ret it worked in mop so it must work now" rets cant be fucking cced anymore.

All this combined with the fact casters actually have to cast now makes it fucking impossible to do anything when a ret is sitting on your ass you get your instant casts off

50k FoLs are actually 29k FoLs without MS debuff. Rets have cca 12% chance to crit, so crit heals are a lucky charm. Also, if you train the Ret and kick its FoL, the lockout prevents most spells, including Bubble. So, with the heals being the only Ret's "sustained" defensive, they actually open themselves to even more danger by healing while being focused.

Also, training the Ret doesn't mean to CC the Ret. It's about pumping damage into a class with no passive dmg reduction. Everything just hits for more when you throw it at a Ret. You can't really peel any other melee without help either in the current meta, this is not exclusive to Rets. Plus, the Ret snare breaker only removes one slow effect, unlike feral's shapeshift. Thus, especially against mages, the only reliable snare breaker is a freedom on 25s CD and that's it. Otherwise, you only trade snare break globals for enemy snare globals that are usually built into their damaging abilities.

Casting through a Ret is actually the easiest of all melee, because we only have a kick (15s) and a stun (30s). Warriors have this + fear. DKs have the same + pet stun and grip. Rogues pretty much interrupt anything they wish....

Ret's only real problem are the randomly OP offheals. Otherwise, they are pretty much on par (aka better at something, worse at something else) with other melee.
