guys no offense, but that's just bullshit. in quality restaurant kitchen a chef will HONE his knive every day or every two days atleast with a HONING STEEL as you said correctly and SHARPEN (usually w/ a waterstone or something among those lines) every three to four months. after using a knive for like half a year you'll notice the edge getting pretty blunt
because he uses it the whole day to prepare the amount of meals you consume in a month.
i have wanted to do way more badass things than that knife
you just can't express yourself that much, it'll be weird to someone. are you a chef? are you rich? why do you have this knife? are you a samurai? was your grandfather a blacksmith?
i'm not even a woman and these are easy for me to think up
why is brad pitt considered to be so desirable?
because he doesn't say shit. he says as little as possible. he's just cool, and confident. that's hard to pull off when you've spent $450 on a knife you use twice a week when you pretend to eat healthy in front of someone who will surely eventually notice anyways
what about other areas of your life where you can't afford the same luxury?
towels, bathroom, shower head, sheets, bed, couch, tv - just to name a few
if i was a woman and some guy had a $500 knife and everything else wasn't of serious quality i'd wonder wtf
honestly if i was a woman after knowing everything i know probably the most eligible dude here is between breadstick and namechange and even tom would have to man up a little and be more assertive
omg what utter bs.
i don't buy a 500 dollar knife to impress some bitch. also a lot of people take eating proper food serious i know this is hard to believe for someone who knows shit about good cuisine.
