it will still be a pain in the ass to gear from pvp if you have to worry about the battleground reward being a duplicate

what part of "you are GUARANTEED to get a piece of gear in EVERY bg" did you miss?

 

in the past it used to take much more than a couple bgs to even buy a bracer with honor, let alone chest/head/legs.

 

also pve has more or less the same RNG in gear. you can choose which dungeons you are doing, but you can't choose what will drop from the boss. only real place where you are guaranteed to get what you want is WQ, assuming one pops with the piece you want.

so basically you say i can't dispel smtg like hoj without suicide. i dont give a rat ass about how long it took you to apply them considering you can refresh the full duration with a single tick of drain life. stacking ua dmg on dispel is dumb. so is having it ticking for 400k

rot and decay doesn't refresh the whole dot, it adds 2 sec of a single UA into the stack.

so you're complaining you may kill yourself if you dispel a stun on top of negating a whole class' damage with a single 8 sec cd button? do you want a 1 min cd divine shield and 10 sec cd pvp trinket on top of that as well?

 

i don't give a damn if UA is ticking for 400k on you, heal the fucking damage normally like any other dps class would require you to and next time how about not letting the warlock freecast 6 UAs in a row because im sure you wouldn't let a destro lock freecast 3 chaos bolts in a row either.

• you get 2 pieces of PvP gear (840-880 ilvl) from 2v2 with an ilvl based on your 2v2 rating each week
• you get 2 pieces of PvP gear (840-880 ilvl) from 3v3 with an ilvl based on your 3v3 rating each week
• you get 2 pieces of PvP gear (840-880 ilvl) from RBG with an ilvl based on your RBG rating each week

that still seems contrary to what has previously been said by blizzard, and that's not including the warforging system which they also said affects pvp.

i've played 15k+ arenas past few years and I've not seen this happen once, pretty sure its just another sign of disc priest syndrome

played a lot more pvp than you and can confirm this has happened throughout every expansion since TBC, although i do think it happened more often back then. not sure about vanilla because i didnt play at the time.
its not limited to MC, anything that makes your character move on its own can cause disconnects, such as knockbacks or leaps.
blizzard said back in cata/mop that its probably a real bug considering the number of players reporting the problem but that they so far werent able to reproduce it themselves and therefore dont know why it happens or what causes it. since it doesnt happen that often i imagine its not one of their highest priorities, especially since they already had trouble reproducing it in the past.

Overpowered heroes in Overwatch - McCree, Widowmaker, Mercy, Lucio

Skilled heroes in Overwatch - there are none because any skill is completely negated by the fact that you have to do everything 500+ms ahead of time to make sure you don't get killed by people with african internet.

1: mercy and lucio aren't overpowered as much as they are mandatory simply because there's no one else to offer the kind of support they provide.
2: that second part almost gave me cancer. oh right i remember you now, the guy complaining he got banned for botting and trying to blame it on blizzard. i already now you'll respond with a probably even more cancerous post so let me go ahead and ignore you beforehand.

not sure if this has been brought up, but i dont think there's any doubt that at least a part of what they said about the difficulties in making a legacy server that isnt complete bullshit.

the "right" way to do it would be to keep all the old aspects of the game, but implement all the technical and behind-the-scenes advantages and polishes we have today.

for one, we wouldnt have the old crappy friends list. no, we'd need to have the old game fully integrated with the new battle.net system we have today. im not a programmer but my conservative guess is that wouldnt be exactly quick do get done, which takes development time away from other things.

then there's the more performance stuff like the new file format blizzard has developed in the past couple of years so it can take full advantage of the new battle.net dynamic update and stuff like that. i suspect it'd be as easy to convert to the new format as pressing a single button, but perhaps there are compatibility issues that first require addressing given how old the original game is compared to when they implemented the new format.

then there's other, possibly controversial stuff, like server tick rate. pre-wod the internal server tick rate was once every 0.4 sec and now its once every 0.02 sec. im sure you all remember the "great" things that provided such as interrupts locking schools after the spell finished casting. i personally would prefer they implemented that into the legacy servers, but i do acknowledge it might make the game feel different from what it was back then, but really that was nothing more than an engineering constraint and there's no reason they shouldnt implement the fix. i also remember they saying during WoD development that making that wasnt necessarily easy to do and its possible it would sort of take them to "reinvent the wheel" to get it done for legacy servers.

those are just some things off the top of my head. i have no doubt a lot of bullshit came out of that announcement of theirs, but let's not pretend there arent at least some reasonable levels of difficulty involved in getting it done right.

That is the biggest pile of nonsense i've read on here so far. It is not the point to RETURN to the old if you had payed even the most minimal attention, it is about not removing abilities going into Legion so the spell pool is bigger allowing for more nuanced players with skill cap ranging longer. As it is now, does it look like they are removing and adding, or removing 70% of spells and putting the rest into talents?

no... the point of his video is precisely to return stuff. the reason is indeed to keep "lots of buttons" and i agree that's good, but said buttons must have a good purpose (provide good gameplay and be balanced, etc). most of the stuff i highlight as disliked are stuff that dont fit these criteria, of which i'd rather have reworked so it DOES fit the criteria.
before calling a post the "biggest pile of nonsense" you've ever read on arenajunkies and calling said person out to have completely missed the point, maybe next time you should follow your own advice.

Hmmm... I am in no way a Cdew fanboy, but I don't agree with all of your ideas either. I don't think for example that the changes he suggested would make Affli Locks feel like a poor man's Mage. Or what you said about Haunt and Armors. Both of these classes would still have quite some difference. For example, Lock would have self-healing and stronger defensive cds while Mage would be more mobile etc. I definitely agree with your opinions on Curses though!

Can't be sure when it comes to Locks since I ain't really that good on Lock. But even so, I can honestly tell you that I would rather play Cdew's Lock version anyday instead of Legion's one. :( I just can't see anyone who mains a Lock having fun with his class in this new expansion.

i dont know if its just the way you worded it, but when i said "poor man's mage" i was specifically referring to shadowflame snare, not the whole kit.
my pet peeve with haunt is purely personal, i just dont like the gameplay involved and how it feels, not really much i can say about it but yeah different people might like it.
regarding armors for some reason i had the TBC design stuck in my mind (probably because of that stupid screenshot shared in the official forums), pardon me for any confusion i might've caused. changing armors while in combat is actually good, although i personally find "stance-dancing" very boring.

Oh, the way that Indead was speaking, I figured they merged the effect into Fel Armor in Cata. Was a while since then so I didn't remember.

So yeah, that's one thing they successfully removed from WoTLK/Cata times that was actually meaningful and I guess "fun" to do. I remember swapping to Demon Armor whenever I was about to get Kidney Shotted and it making all the difference in the world f.ex.

Can't realy say that im positive to alot of this..

The strongbox system that they parised suck A*S! I farmed ashran every week sence release on two locks. Still havn't got the int/haste or the int/mastery trinket on eider. Makeing gear RNG based in pvp is nothing but retarded. I would have 30% instead of 23% haste if i'd gotten both last and current version of the int/haste. Those % makes alot of differance.

The fact that R-droods can choose a thing that makes roots not break on dmg is also retarded. That makes the root better then the old fear that barely ever breaked.

Splitting titles between factions is also dumb. Atleast based on how it all is now. Would have been a good thing 7 years ago tho. This will only resault in top player having one alt on horde aswell and still getting the top titles. Wich they should cause they are better. It will not make it easier to get titles. Maby challanger and rival but above that it will be the same ppl just with an alt. The problem itself is that all races got different racials. Makeing ally so much fking better. They could eider do it so that ie. Human/orc got same racial and so on. Or just simple remove the racials. Problem tho is that the PVP scene is so small now that if you go horde, sure you can get rival easier, but u wount have any1 to play with.. Having all pvpers on ally now still only occupies 2-3 servers in EU (outland, ravencrest and like one other).

Not sure how i feel about the honor lvl systems. To similar to the paragon lvl's in D3. Just an endless farming, wich sucks. Main reason why i once so many years ago abondoned PVE to only do pvp was cause it wasn't farming. It was engaging all the time. Tbh i think this will be a problem in the start. If a bad player with alot of time get high honour lvl he might beat a good player that only playes a few houers after work simply cause u dont have the time to keep up with the honor lvl in the start.

Kinda like that they give better gear to higher rated players. Thats a thing i miss. Remember back in s3 when my class mates were so jellus of me and my epic pvp shoulders compleeteing the set ^^ I hope it will not turn out that those who hardcore pve and suck at pvp will be able to win vs decent player who focus pvp just cause they can get higher ilvl gear. 2,5% might not seem much, but it could be.

i think they were clear as day, what part of their statement are you not understanding? or perhaps youre refusing to understand?

gear from pve will be exactly the same, in every aspect, to gear in pvp. the same applies the other way around.
the only caveat is that for balancing reasons everything besides the ilvl of said gear will be deactivated in pvp zones.
the point here is precisely to promote doing all activities in the game.
most people who do pve/pvp dont even try the other because there's this boring-ass chore to get all the gear meant to even begin doing it properly, so why bother trying to do something you're not even really interested on doing to begin with if you will also have to farm for all that shit? most people pass out on that.
the point here is not only avoid that, but also promote the hardcore players to do BOTH activities to get full gear in a timely manner, as long as you can indeed perform both at a high level. they are promoting gameplay in both aspects of the game instead of separating them with a gear grind barrier.


that said, they didnt explicitly say if set pieces and tertiary stats will be included for gear obtained in pvp, but from what they said so far they really might be 100% identical.

all left to know is HOW we will obtain said gear.
