it depends if i wanna talk about complex changes - complete new design - but i kinda cant because my mind is not that great to design class but i have some idea for just few tweaks 

generally i would turn mm hunter into sth between wotlk-cata-mop

but as it is impossible, i will not include dmg and balance numbers in my suggestions just mechanical/gameplay tweaks

i would redesign playing around sidewinders which make me aids

put pvp talent rangers finesse into baseline

put  new enhanced arcane shot into last pvptalent which auto apply vulnerable(just like sidewinders)+ increase its dmg by X% andrestore more focus - or just put old (but stronger than before) steady shot which does the same and is castable while moving doing similar dmg to current sidewinders// 

explosive trap 40s->30s cd

TNT replace with season 1 frozen arrow in exchange with freezing trap or maybe sth like old wotlk entrapment 3s root for frost trap

piercing shot cost 100 focus 2.5s  casting time ignoring all armor + increasing dmg for 6s by X%  maybe makes 3 aimed shot costs 0 focus (no changes for casting time)

bring back old barrage + make it hit more against vulnerable for situations where u like higher bursts instead of great dot dmg(Crows)

lockandload - > make it proc from something other than auto attacks, like old surv freezing trap so u can at leeast force rng or mpact on it instead of playing pure rng 

i would put all pvp stings into baseline spells with shared cd - i want to decide when to use those spells not pick up a 1 talent for entire match

it would open 3 pvp talent slots for sth interesting because one of the problems of mm is that this spec is "empty" it was only strong because of dmg and 3 instant same dr cc 

mm is a lot better than in wod, but its still not well designed compared to wotlk-mop

i dont like pvp stats being on the bottom of the page, also i dont like that i cant check players statistics ..  u cant check if sb has exp on current char

maybe im biased or delusional because im just playing 10cap games a week  but there are my 2 cents

im annoyed by any def cd used i can just /afk until its duration is gone, should i swap another raid boss with 5mln hp pumping my 2 buttons raid rotation into it?


maybe shortterm cure would be buffing dmg and healing by 15% and/or nerf big defs instead? so active gameplay would be rewarding and players d no longer be passively immortal, currently if u face a hpaly or rdruid for example, now mater what rating is it u gotta just get all their cds even if they use it randomly 


for me they should do some redesigns rather than balancing poor gameplay around numbers(5/10% buffs/nerfs)


i prefer old days pvp wotlk/cata maybe mop, when it was all about action reaction short cd for short cd, positioning, u could kill someone fast but he could recover fast aswell , now its like  unscrewing the tap but there is no pressure and ...since when ppl started using dps meter in arena and started trying optimizing their dps in arena ? in wotlk/cata u tried to outplay ppl using certain abilities now u just learn how to max ur dps with little cc and big cds usage

every week(hotfixes) into this expansion is more and more scripted gameplay like it was in wod 

wow pvp should be complex because we have so little chars/gameplay customization, after all the pruning its too simple to be fun and its to easy to play  = its hard to shine, the difference between players is so low, u just play to learn the schemes if u dont know the scheme/script ull lose no matter if u did some crazy stuff in arena, imo there is a little 'paradox' - the easier the game is - the harder its to be good at - its the reason good old players who came back into wow, are just quiting because they notice that game is no longer fun

wow has never been super good in pvp, but at least it was fun, now i dont know if im playing wow or another mortal kombat game

wow pvp (wod,legion maybe mop too) = frustration 24/7

ofc there is some good stuff ingame but overall it sux

what do you guys think, could blizzard improve their servers in that matter or its just a dream. 

i guess its not player lag problem but server/client cant handle it properly. even running 2 clients and following my chars myself i see them in different positions (and its more than a few yards)       

is my 40ms responsible for seeing players 20yards away from their real positions? 

i rly understand whyh they gave melees 10 gap closers because they gotta use half of them to start hitting target

What you're suggesting is that they make patch notes for what CB -hits- for, all the while it can only crit? And then because it can in fact only crit, it's 2x dmg PvE but 1.5x PvP? 


With taking crit mechanics into account as what you mentioned, it's 200% dmg for PvE and 262.5% dmg for PvP(with focused chaos, CB*1,5*1,75) Not even in that case they should not even close do same dmg. The ~only way it can do about same dmg is if it is then reduced by ~24% in PvP and even then patch notes r off by a mile

ye they usually patchnote the base spell dmg and in that specific case it might be kinda misleading because players may think : 10 % !?

i hit for 20% less!!

I agree that patch notes are usually shitty


i read ur post as "cb does similar dmg in pvp  and pve, even tho it has 75% bonus dmg talent, so they nerfed it more than 10%" or "if it 100% in pve and pvp now it should do 75% more dmg in pvp(talent), but it deals the same"

so i just pointed out that besides normal (pve) and pvp dmg there are global conditions/rules like 150% crits vs 200%(thought it was 250)

/ 2.5 crit dmg vs 1.75*1.5(2.62)// if its 2v2.62 we should do some more research since we are getting closer

maybe there are other mechanics which reduce dmg of chaos in pvp combat or spells in general


locks mastery is pure rng also

I do support stricter titles 100%, How they want to do this idk, They can have participation calculated from accounts in the ladder rather then characters or as now, put stricter demands to be counted as an active character.

There is way to many titles being handed out compared to the actual number of active players, And it just result in there being more boosted cunts and low material getting the titles.

Anyway, Community have to be informed with changes like this, and maybe it is a bit to strict atm. Maybe increase the % slightly to compensate if ladder participation is gonna continue to stay low.

Its one of the reasons why i quit in the first place, We would be guaranteed rank 1 every season if i wanted to put the effort in with the current/old system, I think its good way to stimulate more competition and activity in the top of the ladder when there is not room enough for all of the "common r1s/glads" to get titles.

yep but current pvp reward system is kinda mess

if they want to change it they should consider a lot of stuff not just push worst tittles which were given to almost every guy who was into pvp previous seasons(challanger,rival) to actually decent ppl playing now


imagine if u played league of legends to high platinum or diamond ranks and aftter seasons end and rewards distribution u enter the game and ur frame is bronze and u get no skin just because they realised that 90% players are shit in silver/gold so they dont deserve anything at all and bronze will now represent ppl playing at 2k + mmr 


rated pvp rewards should include more mounts/pets/gear(maybe some weekly gems to increase pvp ilvl so its not 100% rng)/titles/shiny stuff for during the season and after it ends

if community is small and there are not many new players it cancerous for whole system, it will end in situation where 90% players are good but only few of them get sth so there will be no reason to play the game for many ppl, and new guys will quickly realise that its not even worthy trying


maybe a lot of players just cant get more than 50wins because they are bad but why shouldnt they be included in ladders if they lost hundreds of games and gave a lot rating to others


they dont even have to add any new titles, just put rbg titles into arena ladder and let them be a during the season reward for current rating

all these rbg/prestige mounts/stuff should be granted for rating not for just winning 50games at 500mmr or afking in randombgs

if they did that shit real maybe they could make titles account wide and only 1 char per acc count in ladder so basically glad wont go to 50players and their 150 alts but like 150(including less participation in numbers) real different guys?

and maybe they could add some mounts for duelists since its elite now xd

Qualifying players should note the following in order to ensure you receive your just rewards:

  • Please do not transfer your characters to another realm or faction until after Season 14 has ended.
  • Award distribution for Season 14, including titles and mounts, could take up to two weeks after the season ends, though our goal is to finish in one.
  • Only players who have a rating of 1,000 or better are considered when calculating rewards.




This was in S14, no announcements have been made since that this system has changed as far as I know.

there was info about 50wins somewhere in wod(100%) or mop(not sure) but it would mean

1: there are few times less players playing in legion -which seems like its not true; or

2: thousands of players(considering all titles) got wrong titles during warlords of dreanor(not sure about mop) OR in first legion season - because the system was for sure(unless they made unannounced changes) the same, as i wrote in another topic i asked gm for 50wins thingy in late wod since i was playing casualy and the response was http://i.imgur.com/trQd7Pu.jpg (check date)


im pretty sure when they were reimplementing system which handles the titles for ally / horde they added some code which made it different from what we have seen in wod and previous expansions - maybe the 50win is no longer required to get achivs but its considered for the full ladder too, which means there is only little pvp playerbase and competitiveness in wow is even lower than we all supposed - 100k out of 150k players havent played 50 wins during a season which is rly bad, considering that those top(i mean guys who played 50+arenas...) players have alts at similar rating and games played - i come with conclusion that wow pvp is dead xd

tbh i think they should revert the changes so titles are distributed like it was in wod or mop.. there are fuckign 4pvp titles in game and only few players got them its so silly and sad 

if the 50 wins is the case it ruins the arena representation and titles so much and even if they gave us titles 'as intended' it rly sux that the real cutoffs are actually 3x smaller than its stated

100k players with less than 50wins werent count - maybe they were bads with 10% winratio, im better than them then so why aint they considered in playerbase for my titles?

u cant eat mm hunters traps, since its like Poly - u cast it on target , u can interrupt it(? not sure here gotta test it, i think even tho u see aura mastery u can kick it) and u gotta cast it while standing still

ppl think they need to grind artifact power 24/7 for 3 months but they dont realise that these 3 months is not equal to 2160 hours of grinding every AP source available.... but its time required to get your artifact knowledge level high enough to get huge AP from basic daily wow activies.... and of top of that they are afraid that others gonna get 34lvl before arena starts so they cant compete with them game sucks blablabla
compare a little boost from some traits to extreamly op icc hero gear, dragon soul items or even shado pan trinkets in mop, or some super lucky guy in wod who got 5 pieces of gear in 1 week(ashran,coliseum, rbg, arena, x) that increased his stats A LOT
curently the system is not perfect but at least it encourages you to play and get non RNG advantege over other players - if u play u get more traits(u cant push too much-look above)

trackers net is pure aids vs melee and it does not dr with other roots and u can trap off that easier than 3s rangers web which are kinda too short if u trap from long distance and u have actually to wait until target is rooted in place(lags/delays/traveling time and shit) to aim your trap.. if u go on dps and trap healers it generally doesnt rly matter if its dispelable or not...
focused fire as melee is not good idea i guess since you will always take some shit dmg as a melee
i would go bandages if its mechanics were better than standard First Aids - firstly i though its not interruptable by dots that are already on me but just on hit / spell(dot too) cast while channeling it... so masters call is the way to go
surv is fun and complex but other melees are just easier and more comfortable to play

ps dragonsfire grenade is not disorient:P

gladiatorlossa helps players with bad awarness to be harder to beat by better players so its not healthy for the game like any addon in pvp, wow would be so much better if u had only like moveanything implemented in the game especially in current state of game
for example 1500 warrior backpedalling is so confused he doesnt know wtf is going on but he hears "shadow dance" and he insta pop his defs and the match takes 15mins instead of for example 3. rogue is mad that he cant beat bad player and he quit the game, many players quit because they are frustrated that they cant beat bad players playing better comps or just more forgiving classes or using"better" ui
disabling addons would be a little cure for wow
imagine league of legends with cd timers of every enemy, or addon calling skillshots at exacly moment of using it - there are some animations/casting time and shit for some spells, even silver players would dodge skillshots a lot more often... the gap between good and bad players would be smaller which actually happened to wow during the years(addons are one of the reasons) and thats bad imo

at some point addons made wow so popular(the only mmo with so many customisations) but now its the cancer in both pvp and pve
