Were not saying your comp has no counters all were saying is it takes 10x less skill cap to play tripple dps then any other comp
Silence shot ends, lock at 56% .....
No offense I know your a good mage but you're playing with heroic pve gear on a shit BG as a firemage (probably most OP class in cata). Getting #1 with harry potter and ron weasley heroic in 5s on a SHIT BG.... GZ.
s8 = 2614 as PHD (30-40 rating from glad, my first season)
s9 = inactive
s10 = 2786 junglecleave (thought it wasn't enough, ended up trashing team vs MLS)
s11 = 2400~ junglecleave and 2300~ other comps ended up playing FOTM 3 dps.
I think I deserve gladiator
In my own experience and opinon 3 dps takes as much effort as any other comp when you reach higher ratings. Explain to me why there are way more RLS, MLS, RMP, Fireplay, etc teams in gladiator ratings when 3 dps is so incredibly easy?
Doesn't make any sense to me.
If Reedwise gets banned for this, I've lost all my faith in this website. The fact that they'd honestly partner with people who run one of the most successful Gladiator carry websites is a new low for a website that is supposed to help new players become better. The website only furthers the agenda of players already abusing the community.
Arena carries helps the activity in arena and to everyone crying also u get better at the game by facing people better than you.
Sigh. The Gladiator title, by definition, is supposed to go to the top 0.5% of players in 3v3 and 5v5. The thing is, Glad sells have become so rampant that that number is probably, what, 0.3% now? That might even be generous. The same players are filling the ladder with "Gladiator" teams, reducing the number of unique players that are able to crack that 0.5%.
Sure, maybe glad sells do allow these R1 players to play while not sitting on their rating. So the teams doing sells are playing instead of doing their season-long sit -- but they're just playing against eachother.
The consequence of this is that for normal players, getting into Gladiator range becomes extremely unlikely as the players they have to beat to even get to 2200 are those same R1 players who are now either playing for a low-glad spot just like the normal players are, or are playing for a definitely-safe glad spot which just makes the cutoff that much higher, and that much more inaccessible to the plebes.
These rival/duelist players then proceed to give up on getting Gladiator legitimately since the opponents they would need to beat are the top 0.1% instead of the low end of the 0.5% cutoff. So they pay for these R1 players to get them Gladiator, continuing (and compounding) the cycle.
The R1 players who say that 'sells encourage participation' don't realize that it only encourages THEIR participation. They think the arena ladder is more active only because they aren't sitting on their teams for 6 months like they usually do.
The rivals and duelists and near-gladiators are crucial to the arena ladder 'ecosystem'. You might think they're weak things that can be removed from the food chain with no consequence, but like in nature it just doesn't work that way. The 0.5% system and the ladder in general requires a steady rise in skill the higher you go up the rankings -- but with the abundance of glad selling going on, there is a definite skill gap disrupting the ladder, and it has ruined arena.
Glad sellers are fucking scum and should be treated as such, regardless of whether they are associated with NAO or not.
I hate long posts.
I really don't get why people get offended so easily. Reedwise, after 13 pages I still didn't get what you are on about, but dont insult other posters.
Really? A moderator is going to say, "tl;dr?"
I'm sorry you don't have any reading comprehension but I was unaware that your literacy fell into my realm of responsibility. I was attacked in this thread, without attacking anyone. You literally let someone call me a pedophile, say all my titles were fake, insult my ratings, insult my argument, insult my class, insult my team composition and you don't do anything about it and then you run a comb through my responses and try to find some way to give me an infraction for responding..?
How about you explain how someone deleted the posts where Mugems makes a fool of himself and I quote him? Where my only actual writing is me explaining homeostasis..? Is explaining homeostasis against the terms of service? Against the forum rules? No, it isn't. It's censorship, and it's wrong. This moderation is unfair, biased, completely one-sided and it has no rhyme, reason, rule or regulation.
Moderators should be impartial, not jealous hypocrites. Tournaments should be fair, not biased to increase the revenue gained by the administrators. Apparently the supposed leaders of the community disagree with that.
I didn't think about that, Braindeadly. I guess 10,000 viewers for 45 minutes is better than 10,000 viewers for 3. At least they can't use that, "serious PvP community" line anymore.
Conrad, I'm not belittling your R1 titles. There's only one Warlock I respect in this game, and that's Draen. Your R1 titles mean about as much to me as Dicegg's theories on Enhance/Hunter/Resto Shaman countering RLS.. and that's to say they mean nothing. Unless you have a R1 from 3s where you literally queued up every single day for at least three hours for the last two months of the season, you're a joke like most of the AJ R1s here spouting their alleged game knowledge with 5s R1s they tied, cheated, begged, borrowed and stole for - you can focus on that if you want, but I don't care.
People like to say that I'm trolling, which is pretty much almost completely true but what's interesting is neither you or your 4chan-esque pal Mugems over here can do anything except attack everything about what I'm saying except what I'm saying. Really, you backed up some retard never-Glad Priest who just now got access by repping him saying that I'm a pedophile and all my R1 titles and fake, oh yeah, and I'm, "shit?" Care to quantify that?
The reason I'm vicious to you is that you fucked my friend Xoruk out of a R1 title in TBC via team removal, and I'm like an elephant in that I never forget and, figuratively speaking, I am much bigger than you. But I digress.. It's immaturity. You must know that I'm correct, or you'd explain precisely how your decision is actually extremely fair for every class. Ask yourself this: what Hunters do you know? Which of them do you think are great players? Forget about me, JS, Tosan and Braindeadly blow. Right?
How many Hunter heroes have come even close to winning NAO as PHDK, Junglecleave or Thugcleave? It's the same people like you that said Hunter was overpowered in S9 when KFC was running amuck, and my main man Getnerded was R1 world. And then all those idiots started killing him as DK/Rog/R Sham and - wait, what happened? KFC is still retarded because of Hunter damage(which has actually been buffed since), right?
When's the last time a KFC was crushing in this tournament again? That's my point: you're ignorant. The argument isn't even a hard one to address, as it's theory-based. But you guys are corporate masterminds, clearly. "It's my tournament and I'll do what I want!" like anyone cares.
You want a professional corporate tip from the top? There's a reason nobody else runs WoW tournaments, and you'll be surprised to learn that it isn't because of triple DPS. I'm sure you guys have way more money to invest here than WSVG, MLG, Dreamhack et al but maybe you'd do well to cater to the people you rely on for this to be successful: your viewers instead of one time EU glads who are going to be too busy DDoSing you to see who is fighting, anyway.
Just kidding, Starbucks got big because they'd always be like, "LOL, YOUR COFFEE TOOK TOO LONG? I DON'T CARE, IT'S MY STORE AND THAT'S PROBABLY THE LAST RESPONSE YOU'LL GET FROM ME, YOU SHITTY PEDOPHILE."
Do you have any idea how boring it would be to spectate a 3v3 game against 3DPS?
Do you feel as though PHD is a sub-par comp?
How about feral/hunter/healer?
Does rogue/hunter/healer suck?
Why would it be boring to watch triple DPS play? Games would be fast paced and heavily reliant on cordination for the team facing the triple dps.
Let me ask you with another question(s) however: Do you know how boring it is to watch 15 minutes of RLS vs. RLS? Or watch RLS play against Hunter/Rogue/Shaman for example, knowing that the RLS will never lose, but the game still drags on with the thugcleave being defensive and kiting for 15 minutes? RMP facing off against RLS not having a chance to kill either, when Shamans are using 5500 resilience? Watching PHD open with initial burst, not scoring a kill then being cross CC'ed for 8 seconds and losing in a Smokebomb? Watching an MLS never being able to score a kill on a Rogue and the RLS making the mage oom and eventually die?
But you're right. 3 DPS would make the tournament boring, because they have the upper hand against 1 setup (which, with good play, could easily turn into a 2v2 where the RLS would be able to pull off a win which would be rather exiting). If anything, RLS, is ruining tournaments. Doesn't mean they should be banned, but if they have counters, while still countering others, banning the first one seems rather retarded and irrational.
Junglecleave for once, shits all over triple DPS. So does PHD or any other Paladin based team (like Vanguards). But you're right, RLS might be countered like the other setups also are by RLS, so rather not let them in at all. We all prefer 15 minute games. And the comps you mentioed are all sub-par, yes. Junglecleave perhaps being the only strong one outside RLS currently.
It's just my 2 (perhaps a bit longer) cents. I know you play RLS yourself, but there is no reason to come off as biased as you do.
If you lose as RLS to 3 DPS, but win your other games, while 3 DPS lose to the rest, you will still end up winning the Tournameny. So where is the problem except some less boring 15 minute draws.
