kinda risky tbh. in arena even if you run behind LoS to try to do it, the grounding buff goes on your allies and if any are within range/LoS of enemies its unlikely you'll be quick enough to nab the UA
I havent played the comp in forever, but this is what we used to do vs disc/rogue
It's quite literally a complete rushdown of the priest. You sap him, clean buffs with purge, then lust and open with cheapshot. Do as much damage as possible (Flame shock EM lightning bolt before he puts pain sup on), then kidney. during the kidney use a hex (he'll have to trinket it, so he'll be hexed for a few seconds unable to reapply shields/PS.
Your rogue should vanish garrote and continue spamming dps. Utilize your trinket, t storm, and earthbind all to keep the opposing rogue from shutting you down. Make sure you're using all instants possible (shocks, fire nova, etc)
usually there's nothing the priest can do
if the rogue opens on you before your rogue can sap, try to have your rogue control the opposing until you both are free to start out the above strategy (vanish cheapshot may be necessary)
I would say its at the easiest point it's ever been.
Shaman as a class is slightly difficult as its a very reactive glass with 5 sec wind shear and 10 sec grounding totem, and positioning is arguably the most important of any ranged calss as you have to have proper position for totem range (30 yd radius to get allies out of fear etc), hex range (20 yd) wind shear range, purge range, etc etc and all the while be able to LoS an enemy's spell if you're out of interrupts.
Ele on the other hand simply adds the dynamic of going pewpew when the time is right.
I would say though that thunderstorm has the most potential of any ability in the entire game.
so the skill cap to be a good ele sham is relatively low, but to be an innovative and gamechanging ele sham can be high.
my greatest satisfaction in this game is the little lvl 1s comin over and saying "omg emcl how do you win in your super duper complex so hard to play comp ?!?!" and me responding with "gtfo noob l2p k no gear all skill"
so you're all crazy
edit: I realize it's the internet. That was sarcasm.
To be honest I prefer more crit, especially with this resilience change. Obviously I know that the hotfix had no effect on crit, but because it's become so powerful, people tend to wear more and more of it. Thus I see the possibility of becoming oom more likely as we're less likely to get consistent crits off.
I think the strongest double healer next season is going to be disc priest/resto sham/ua warlock.
double offensive dispel, double defensive dispel, mana burn and mana drain, realistically no one can go oom before the other team, bloodlust with new ua is ridonk, interrupts for other double healer teams (your priest will always win because of your wind shear), you'll even be able to beat all double healer warrior teams (except maaaaaaaaybe pally/druid because of druid unhexable gayness).
