I expected this to come from a Shaman... not a Priest.

I can't help but point out the incredible irony.

The massive difference between Western and Eastern philosophies is that the former cultivates egoism, whereas the latter is the polar opposite and seeks to destroy the ego [in simple terms]. Your attempts at explaining it via some sort of relative perfectionism, "being the best", are hilarious. It's been 6 months and you still don't understand one of the absolute basics of any Buddhist teaching. Read a fucking book.

What's truly appalling is that the very jealousy and hate you are "disgusted" by in this post, are the two things that you crave for and feed on. There is no other explanation to the fact that you have posted in literally every IRL picture, gym or lifting thread on this entire board, either spamming your IRL pictures on feedback or instantly turning the thread into shit and being amused by it.

The irony is that this post is more of a confession than a rant. All you've said with this post is how much you love mediocrity, because it gives you a sense of "standing out", "being better than the majority", "being different than everybody", "being the best at what you do" (relatively, comparatively). You encompass everything you wrote down, you embrace it. Feeling superior to everybody else on AJ is the very reason you post here - I'm sure this is not how you would behave on a bodybuilding forum. The whole motivational notion you try to put up is comedic.

The simple truth is this: you're an egotripping, pretentious twat. And whatever accomplishments you have do not change this.

I'm sorry but you clearly misunderstood the point of his post. His claim is this: The acceptance of mediocrity is a plague within the USA. I'm sure it happens elsewhere, but quite frankly I'm not qualified to comment on that because I live in the US.

America is a breeding ground for the weak, a sanctuary for the lazy, and sadly a brutal fucking grind for those who don't have the discipline to pursue big dreams. Thankfully, America is also the most opportunistic place on earth for those who are willing to pay the price. For those of us who are willing to do what others are not willing to do, we shall have what they don't (in all kinds of ways). This is without question the best and most unique part of America.

Billian is exposing that society in the US is completely content with average things. Average spouses, average bodies, average incomes, average car, average house, average grades, average etc. Overwhelmingly people are "OK" with just having enough. They are content with (x+1) when the cost of something mediocre is x. Upon realizing something amazing costs 10x, they say "nah im good" or "who needs that?". Because the vast majority of the population is content with the median, any individual who attains 10x, 100x, or even 1000x, will likely be subject to ridicule, hate, jealousy, slander, and more.

Those in the median who react this way do it as a defense mechanism. They must justify their average existence by discrediting the amazing success of others. How can billian be so shredded when I'm chilling at 28% body fat? He got lucky I guess. How can my neighbor have that nice car and go on vacation all the time when I have a Hyundai and stay at home my 2 weeks every year? He must have a trust fund. These are the rationalizations of the average. They are average because they accept average. As a result, their effort is average. Those who achieve 100x do so because they refuse x. Consequently, they make their effort 100x to warrant such results.

Billian did not claim to embrace and understand Budism. He didn't claim to know all about eastern philosophy. He merely pointed out that for whatever reason, in their culture they embrace a 100x work ethic for school. This is really the crux of the problem for people who attain average things. Work ethic is consistently what separates those who have and those have not. I don't know what the Chinese value the most, but clearly based on his experience, getting really good grades sure is on the list. Their work ethic, and how crazy it is, is the whole point of his post.

You either bust your ass for what you want, or you don't get what you want. Its as simple as that. Regardless of why they work so hard, they do. I'll say it again, this is the point of his post. Here in the US, people don't bust their ass. They are lazy. They are fat. They are broke. They are unhealthy. They date/marry  girls who are 6's at best. They wont bust their ass which is why they don't have what they really want. They accept mediocrity and their work effort shows it.

A disclaimer: I am not commenting on his ego or why he posts. I'm strictly referring to the message his post brings.

Don't people get it yet. If you nurf warriors then some other class that isn't yours will be top and you will call to nurf that too until yours is finally best and you will say...Yup everything is balanced now.

As far as being highest consistent damage. Skulking in the darkness not saying anything is assassination rogues. Just cause everyone is so hooked on playing Sub people haven't realised how fucking retarded the poison damage is from assassination. Playing PTR and every rogue was assassination, i don't know how there are not more on live now....probably because of the warrior\dk counter.
True our bleed damage is high...but its less than a feral. Feral damage hasn't been nurfed, they just had their easy-mode stuns and instant whirliebird removed.

People crying about the interupts and reflects clearly didn't play a warrior last season where you just stand there like a fucking retard and get killed in roots. They clearly didn't see how we were limited to running comps where someone, anyone could give us freedoms so we could hit a target and maintain enough up time to do anything. Anyone have a problem with a feral shifting out of any root you can do all the while maintaining an unhealable amount of bleed damage.

Got issues with warriors reflects. Play with a shaman who can wind sheer that crap. Got a problem with warriors getting out of roots. Play with someone who can stun. Got a problem getting a cast off, have someone peel for you.
This topic is so retarded it makes my brain hurt.

#3938427 How's 5.4 for Wars so far?

Posted irubuwrongtime on 12 September 2013 - 05:56 PM

Not sure about warrior opness but it is def more fun to play warrior once again.  Everything runs smoother compared to last season and with many qol changes helping our dps, we seem to be at pretty solid position atm.

Played some KFC and WLS so far and both comps seem very viable.  Our team was made of glad xp players but we tried to match up vs glad xp players so there is no skill gap.

Pala KFC seems pretty decent but we didn't get to play much, losing only to Piff's KFC mirror.  Druid KFC seems the weakest and I don't recommend it.  It went horrible maybe because we were matched up against Sodah's ele/lock/druid but from the series of 5 matches, we couldn't even come close 1 match.  We might have had different outcome as Sham KFC.  Shaman KFC seems the strongest out of all and it went undefeated, only losing to Iconicus's KFC mirror.
You can check out our KFC matches at http://www.twitch.tv...y31/b/459644352 (Hunter POV)

WLS seems very strong as well.  We went undefeated, only losing to Smexxin's WPS one game after 15 minute match where Smexxin oneshotted our sham with "crowd chose you" buff... which I think is pretty stupid because we were dominating most part of the game not to mention our few wins vs them prior to that match.  So I would say WLS > WPS from my own experience.
WLS matches were recorded by our Sham http://www.twitch.tv...dyo/b/460027850

I could not change talents depending on the comp often times because we didn't know what we were facing every game.
So my standard choice of talents were juggernaut/enraged regeneration/disrupting shout/shockwave/mass spell reflect/avatar.
Tried storm bolt few matches and it seems very viable as well.  Also enraged regeneration > second wind imo, since it is on a relatively short cd and you can use it when you most need it even during stun.

I'll try to share more information as season starts.  My main comp until last seaon has been melee cleaves like Kitty/Turbo/TSG so I don't even know our true potential just yet.

One tip!  Mass spell reflect or even double reflect vs RMP opener is just TOO GOOD!  :)  Good luck to all you fellow warriors~
