I said it's bad ( paying as much for WoW and services ), but not as bad as some people make it out to be.

I think it is as bad as it gets. They are charging monthly fee where only realistic service you get is GM assistance and this monthly fee doesn't cover a service that requires basic database manipulation.
About getting mileage from your money through hours played, I don't know if you saw but I just gave an example of a purchase a friend of mine made. It's a big title that will be played for 50+ hours. We are at the era of great Steam sales and great F2P titles. The monthly fee + service charges are unreal at this point.

But then again, this is a game that caters to addicts, so no matter what they do, people will keep paying, which is a shame really because the game is so bad and there are so many f2p and cheap games available.

The stupidity in some comments in this thread is really disturbing.
-Yes $15 is a lot of money in some shitty economy countries. This is gonna come as a shocker but in those countries minimum salary(after exchange rates applied) is ~ $500, while a bread loaf could be $0.5 . So that guy isn't in a situation where he is borderline starving. But paying 1/30 of their salary, monthly to a game is too much for them. This would translate to a $70/month payment for a guy in NA.
If you check games on Steam, they are cheaper for people in shitty economy countries.

-As pointed out, not only they are charging a considerable monthly fee, they are asking money for basic services. Please take your time to go to Steam sales, or any online discounted game seller and check how many amazing games you can buy monthly for that price. Just to give you an example, without knowing much about the game; my friend bought Batman Arkham Origins for $5, it's a huge ass title, that is expected to be finished in ~50 hours.

And we have a self destructive baller:
"I go out and drink but I can't get drunk for some reason, being the hard man that I am"
"I buy this much grams of weed every 2-3 days"
then proceeds with:
"I prefer transferring 2 characters for pve to a night out, because it provides more hours of fun"
I mean did you really compare going out with friends for a night to killing mobs in a scripted fight and conclude that latter is better?

Can you make longer and more detailed posts? Also your UI seems too simplistic, maybe install the remaining addons on wowinterface?

That is if you get some free time from moonfacering.

In this thread, we talk about what abilities/classes/etc are under the radar OP

I don't think that radar exists bro.

#4373105 Disc priest state

Posted by Djandawg on 27 January 2015 - 04:32 AM

How could Disc end up here after Vengeful / Furious / Wrathful / Tyrannical seasons...

Tyrannical season was a result of pom healing %65 more than it should. This is priest development and how every class defining ability has been removed or nerfed to uselessness one by one.

And this is for shaman and druid:

#4367276 19 Twink WSG Tournament [July 31st - Aug 2nd]

Posted by Djandawg on 22 January 2015 - 02:57 AM

Hey guys. For those of you who don't know, I've been playing twinks for quite some time now. Last summer there was a 19 twink tournament with a $1400 prize pool. Overall it was a fun time, but it would have been more interesting with a few more teams. This summer there will be another WSG tournament. We're looking to get a larger prize pool (ideally $3000+). If you have any interest in playing, please check out the twinkinfo thread above.

I am gonna participate with my friends, the only problem is this late announcement. We won't have enough time to make scheduling arrangements and to practice properly.

#4365869 A few priest changes that would help

Posted by Djandawg on 20 January 2015 - 04:38 PM

It was pretty bad for first 2-3 weeks, after that it was superb once gear started hitting in.

Oh and Mass Dispel glyph really has to be baseline, for all specs.

It was not the first 2-3 weeks and not the gear. Halfway through the season they released a patch where almost every single priest line was a buff. The spec remained unplayable for months before that, simply because of low numbers.

and @rokmode , in wotlk s5 priest and druid were bottom 2 with close numbers. S6, there was the barskin innervate tragedy. About druids being killed by rmp, I think that coincides with the "Dear druid" video where they killed same 2 druids 30 times in a row. It's been adjusted immediately as druids noticed that even though it's pretty difficult for them to die, parking the character in the middle of the map and not using movement keys for the entire duration of the match might cause losses, so they used pillars, some small hots to solve this problem.
Also what's wrong with having no silence/stun reduction? They don't cast, and they had the best mobility in game, on top of that a symbolic mana bar and permanent cc immunity. Come the end of s7 and entire s8, 9 out of 10 comps were druid spell cleave.

On topic, in general, I think if a healer is not doing well, it is more often than not the best healer heals for 3 units and worst healer heals with the counterpart spell for 1 type of situation. It is always a number problem, that is either ignored ( like s11 druids etc ) or fixed after months.

#4214050 2014 NA Regional Drama Wrap-Up

The girlfriend thing was honestly just defending myself

No need to explain. You looked like a very confident heterosexual male when you decided to defend your sexuality after someone threw an insult in a non sexual context.

#4208488 Now that MoP is coming to an end...

Posted by Djandawg on 15 September 2014 - 04:12 PM

The problem with Mop is, they made spec defining abilities available to all specs of a class. Stuff like arms warriors running shockwave, aoe silence; dps shamans and druids having NS, frost mages having pom, affliction locks having shadowfury and so on.There was a reason why those abilities were made available at the mid / low parts of a spec's talent tree, they were simply too powerful. The new talent system was designed in order to make the game more enjoyable for PVEers with complete disregard to PVP. Another bad decision was to make dispel an 8sec cd.
Cata had its own problems but I believe those could be saved via nerfing pve gear in arena or just adjusting numbers. They never made the effort, but it had the potential to be a good expansion, like TBC and WOTLK.

What I am trying to say is, MoP is by far the worst expansion because it had too many PVP design flaws, as opposed to other expansions where most problematic things could just be fixed through some numeric adjustments.

#4196230 rdruids on beta

Posted by Djandawg on 24 August 2014 - 12:53 PM

at least druids will be good (hopefully) in the first season one time in their lives instead of unplayable

Everyone knows they're OP as is but I hope they don't overnerf. I agree, the first season is always awful, and druids are always borderline unviable in it. Correlation? I think so.

You are right, starting season of the wrath, druids were not overpowered.
Also, let's not forget that druids had a bad season in season 11. (most people forgot about this because it hasn't been mentioned by druids for the last 3 days)
I really hope that a class that historically has been neglected so much can finally have a good start and will not have to deal with the downsides of being underpowered by design, though it will be too easy due to higher skilled player base of the class who already succeeded at s9 with bunch of comps or at s12 with god comp, even though druids were unplayable back then.

#4176244 Free tip for WoD devs

Posted by Djandawg on 24 July 2014 - 01:11 AM

The warlock fear is destructive for the game, considering how easy it is to spam and land.
They need to fix fear without destroying other classes, this can be done by either:
-Making psychic scream an horror effect and keeping fear removers
-Nerfing warlock fear heavily and removing tremor, nimble etc.

I would like to know why priests got 4 different fear nerfs in one patch: duration, cooldown, talent and dr sharing. I mean has psychic scream ever been part of the problem? As far as I know this game has been in a terrible state every time warlocks and shamans are too powerful, that's what needs to be addressed, without also nerfing other classes that are already mediocre at best comparing to those.
