#3806402 Enh/Ele: Noxxic PVP Guide/State Priorities

Posted Thugeenocktopus on 17 November 2012 - 01:26 AM

For enh, mastery results in increasing burst during Acendance, and haste will give a more continual source of damage, so what you choose should depend on what combo you choose to play. To be sucessful in MoP arena I'd say give mastery a go.

For ele, we need crit now due to the fact that EB is one of our most damaging abilities, and not LvB anymore which is of course a 100% crit if you have FS up. Both haste and crit work, just personal preference and comp choice once again.

#3752843 [Enh]: MOP Glyphs/Talent choices for RBGs/Arena

It looks like its going to take some painful decision making to pick many of the Glyphs/talents.

I'm leaning towards Frost Shock, Sham Rage, and Spiritwalk. Feral Spirits, Capacitator Totem, and Ghost Wolf glyphs look very tempting too. Opinions?

I'm also having a hard time deciding between Healing Tide Totem or Ancestral Guidance and Unleashed Fury or Elemental Blast (though even the third one there is tempting). Any opinions on that?

I'm primarily going to run 3s and RBGs.
Ghost wolf glyph is mandatory, no idea why you'd take frost shock.
My choices for enhance would likely be purge, ghost wolf and hex although I'm sure there will be some comps where shamanistic or spirit walk will be more useful. Ancestral guidance and healing tide will both be useful although they're both situational. As for the last talent tree I think I would almost always take unleashed fury, 50% speed boost for 4sec every 15sec and static shock procing off melee swings seems really good. On the other hand primal elementalist will have its uses vs zerg comps (earth ele dmg reduction and stun). Also elemental blast might be very useful vs melee cleaves since you won't be getting kited a lot, no idea how much dmg it does as enhance, but it hits fairly hard as ele.

Either way its too early to tell, with the new arena system allowing you to see what the opposing team is and switch talents and glyphs, there probably isn't a single right answer for a lot of the talents and glyphs.

Edit: I actually completely forgot about healing storm glyph, that will also probably be a mandatory glyph along with ghost wolf

#3748691 [Enh]: How will Enh be in MOP (PVP wise)?

Posted BettySuarez on 23 August 2012 - 03:20 AM

yeah astral shift and SR stack,

And dont think many people will be using improved ele pets in arena as the totems can be killed easily.. and lava burst wont be part of the rotation it seems as the damage was nerfed extremely a few patches ago.

Flame shock wont be used much either as its pretty weak and can be dispelled easily if you're playing a cleave. earth and frost will be our main shocks.

But none the less, we still have normal ele pets to use in arena with a 5 min cooldown each which isn't shared cooldown AFAIK. So we can summon wolves, pets and use ascendance at the same time which is very very high burst and i hope it doesn't get nerfed but probably will. But the damage is pretty consistent without using our CD's.

enhance is gonna be stronger than ele by far. Its definitely going to be more viable than it has past 2 xpacs.

MAstery after agility. And either unleash fury or elemental blast. Although elemental blast may be hard to put into rotation as your gonna have to use mealstrom procs on healing surges a lot.

definatley frozen power.

Enhance got buffed last patch with scaling. But not many people are paying attention to enhance as no one really likes it. but i see it being great in mop.

enhance/war/hpal is gonna be the best setup for it IMO.

#3697909 [Enh] shaman: ilvl 403 No'Kaled vs. 410 (T2) weapon?

Posted Poseyx on 04 May 2012 - 05:59 AM

Just stick with both t2, enhance doesn't really have any room to fit in PvE gear with already how squishy we are and we get trained 85% of games unless you play with a warrior.

Posted Claynz on 04 May 2012 - 06:33 AM

I look at it this way  416>t2>403>t1

I dont pref using lets say 1x T1 and 1x 403.

Either have 2x of the pve axe or 2x pvp wep unless one of the axes is 416. The proc dmg from weapons is very big if you got 2 of the axes kinda not worth it with just one.

And about pve gear as enhancement it works fine atm i use both axes one 416 and one 403 still waiting for last one to drop in HC. and even with those 2x pve weapons i got 4727 Resilience wich is enough. Sure i lose 2-3% damage reduction but i gain massive burst damage output.

#3606085 [Enh]: Vial of Shadows vs. Conquest PVP trinket

Posted Vexxius on 04 January 2012 - 10:40 PM

Yeah, it's physical damage (indicated in tooltip), so it won't scale with your mastery. 1:1 with AP though.

#3602525 4.3 [Enh]: Crit vs. Mastery?

Posted CowboydanOo on 30 December 2011 - 02:37 PM

Mastery is alot better imo. And I'd like to see you with those haha, that will be interesting.

#3600913 4.3 [Enh]: Crit vs. Mastery?

Posted Jackow on 28 December 2011 - 03:41 PM

I'm pretty sure mastery is better than crit, with the flame tongue buff for enhance lava lash can hit 30k+ on resil if you go mastery, plus it doesn't hurt for lightning bolt, lightning shield and shocks

They are roughly the same for pvp but since your maelstroms wont all be going towards dps crit is better for pvp atm.
