I'm not saying that moonkins will become terrible after patch changes, but this change is so HUGE for moonkin gameplay. As LSD v2 is the 'real' viable comp as moonkin right now, and is all about control and dots it will change alot after 4.2 due to not being able to keep dots up at all times, but I really hope they'll fix it or atleast give us more dmg on wrath & Starfire than just 23% (Yes It'll be OP in PvE, but who cares about PvE?)

- I personally don't see any moonkin comp will be viable but Ele / Boomer / Hpala..

Probably not true, note that the mana cost reduction with a 3 stack is now only 30% instead of 99%. Sure you can spam moonfire for an eclipse but it's going to crush your mana to get there, and the mana return from eclipse is pretty negligible.

The mana cost of Moonfire / Sunfire will remain the same, and from next patch the mana pool we've got has increased by a huge amount, right now as it is we gain 16% of our total mana. A druid playing with int gems & furor have about 120k mana
120.000/100*16 = 19.200mana we gain from an eclipse without counting procs such as darkmoon trinket, Power Torrent or Engineering glove enchant.

In 4.2 we're gonna have nearly 150k mana, which will give us far more mana when triggering an eclipse.
155.000/100*16 = 24.800mana, which might not sound like alot, but on average basis gaining 5k more mana everytime you've triggered an eclipse will mean alot in the end.

Overall I don't mind this nerf either, as loads of moonkins just step into arena and that's all they do, instead of using their crowd control & shrooms aswell which is getting buffed.
Also Wrath & Starfire getting buffed

Official Blizzard Quote:

Starfire damage has been increased by approximately 23%.
Wrath damage has been increased by approximately 23%.

Which will result in more direct damage, but thing is as moonkin right now, you don't have any control to get away with really.. Obviously you've got Nature's Grasp & Typhoon but they dont provide the amount of time to pump damage out, compared to a frost mage who can just mindlessly snare and cast. Also having a stun not to mention, but with the change of Moonfire / Sunfire they should provide some cc, like start of season with instant root with a 5second cooldown wouldn't be too much in my opinion as moonkin only, then they should make it a talent only for moonkin and not resto..

Haste by far! More haste means more dot ticks > Starsurge procs that can be used when people dipping.

Balance
Insect Swarm now generates 8 Lunar Energy for Balance druids.
Moonfire now generates 8 Solar Power for Balance druids.
Sunfire now generates 8 Lunar Energy for Balance druids.

Earth and Moon's duration has been increased to 15 seconds, up from 12.
Fungal Growth spell visual effect has been updated to be less visually intrusive and more aesthetic.
Lunar Shower has been redesigned. When casting Moonfire, the druid gains Lunar Shower. Lunar Shower increases the direct damage done by Moonfire by 15/30/45%, and reduces the mana cost by 10/20/30%. This effect stacks up to 3 times and lasts 3 seconds. While under the effects of Lunar Shower, Moonfire generates 8 Solar Energy, and Sunfire generates 8 Lunar Energy. The amount of Lunar/Solar Energy gained does not change based on the number of points spent in the talent, or stacks of Lunar Shower. Those druids who wish to delay transition in or out of an Eclipse state should now cast the one of their two basic attacks which will not move the Eclipse bar (either Starfire or Wrath).
Solar Beam has a new spell effect.
Wild Mushroom: Detonate can now also trigger Earth and Moon, in addition to Starfire and Wrath.

If you look at the patch notes it probably won't go live, as they already overwrote (or how to say) it. By that said, if it goes live boomkins will be extremely nerfed. Hardcasting isn't the strongest, it's really the dots making a difference. - Praying it won't go live..
