I've been toying around with the notion that arena would benefit greatly from a large scale merger of DR's.
Nerfing CC's to 8 seconds really didn't address what the real issue was, too many goddamned cc's all jerking eachother off.
6 DR categories; Stuns, Roots, Silences, Disarms, Short Bullshit, and Long Bullshit.
Stuns is self explanatory.
Roots is self explanatory.
Silences is self explanatory.
Disarms is self explanatory.
Short Bullshit would consist of things akin to Scatter, Gouge, Death Coil, Psychic Horror.
Long Bullshit would consist of things with an 8 second duration.
I'd like to see "Long Bullshit" restored to 10 second durations being that the issue with this was Fear/Poly effects being way too fucking good in tandem. This however, would fix that and everything would maybe possibly hopefully be dandy.
Kinda unsure as to where Cyc would go in these categories and whatever anyone decides upon will probably be rejected either way so I'll just leave that one out of my insipid worthless idle musings for now.
Anyway, does anyone have a better idea how to address the CC clusterfuck currently going on?
I run a small 10 man guild with my RL friends and we do pretty well, 2/13 heroic mode right now. I'm a tank and we have no plate phys dps so I got http://www.wowhead.com/item=65142 when we downed Halfus. Do you think it'd be worth it to use these over the Bloodthirsty shoulders? I am gemming resil everywhere and I'd keep around 3400 resil.
Also have access to a shit ton of strength trinkets, what would you all consider the threshold of PvE gear this season?
Alright, we've been playing pretty sporadically but this comp seems to be entirely shit against neigh all melee cleaves. Most every game comes down to my mage getting his shit pushed in while I'm being controlled to hell and my healer is too busy saving my mage's ass to dispell me. Is anyone else running this comp with any success? Druid healers seem entirely worthless for the mage/warrior combo. Which isn't even that useful being how deep freeze shares DR's with both my intercept and throwdown.
Basically I'm wondering if anyone has an idea if there is something we can do to not lose to every team with a melee and a freedom that walks by.
