Ok, got a couple of questions regarding amphetamines.
Just the other night, a friend brought speed and I tried it for the first time. I'm a no-lifer/depressed idiot/don't like weed guy who loves energy drinks and coffee more than his own penis. So, he knows I've been trying to get my hands on speed for a while now and he brought what he calls "good one" and we had a line each. I knew all about how shitty speed is and how much "shit" they put into it.
Now, he brought it without telling me, we took it, I played SC2 and LoL and had a blast with how much perception I have overall (I took precautions with shitload of water+chewing gum, don't want to grind my teeth), and I love that feel which speed gave me (besides the need to talk to people).
TL;DR - what other drugs that are relatively "ok" (not as shitty as speed) and have the same or even a little bit less effect overall, cocaine is too expensive, and I doubt ecstasy would want me to sit in my chair in front of my computer. I cannot buy amphetamine pills (forgot the name) which are only legal in the US afaik, and also, what are the risks of taking such drugs occasionally (not abusing them)?
Sorry for idiotic questions and whatnot
My personal advice is get the FUCK away from stimulants. And energy drinks.
All "other drugs" are just different "types" of amphetamine, mostly ephedrine. Stimulants are a broader group, technically, but most other stuff is either uninteresting (antidepressants with no short term effects, coffee, etc) or will be unavailable to you anyway (hard to synthesize/obtain). All "designer drugs" are basically different amphetamines.
If the pills mentioned above aren't available in your country (laws), all speed you'll find is synthesized/cooked from random shit found in a grocery store. Smuggling pills cross border just isn't profitable. Hence, purity of the product entirely depends on the cook and more or less the entire chain of distribution. It's always slightly toxic. If the pills ARE available, they can be the source material, which is obviously much more clean, but I'd imagine that simply selling the pills off is just as profitable/faster, and you should just get a prescription. There are test kits to safeguard yourself from getting scammed and getting some minimal information on what you got. They're simple chemical reaction - color tests, you won't figure that much from them.
Risks: health wise - wikipedia for a list of potential long term effects. What will happen to you is completely individual. The only thing I'll say is that if you have any heart/blood problems, stop immediately. That's serious risk. Otherwise, just healthy nutrition, and get extra calcium (cheese).
Mentally - stimulants are BY FAR the most addictive shit in existence. All other drugs either calm you down or fuck you up, those states are escapism - people who end up addicted to them are in a depression in the first place, or developed a physical dependency. Stimulants are different - you fall in love with the state itself. First you'll enjoy playing games with it, then you'll need it to enjoy the games, then you'll need it to work, study, or literally do anything at all.
I mean, you already want to play SC2 and LoL while tweaked, you liked it better like that. Next step - you won't be able to enjoy them WITHOUT speed. Slowly you'll be replacing your "normal" state to the "improved" state more often, and it'll even feel like an upgrade, like a good change. It won't trigger a "fuck, I'm addicted" alarm because of all the pros and the very distant cons which might hit you eventually (depending on how far you go), might not. You'll even justify increasing dosage.
So yeah. If you lack the discipline and willpower, this can destroy you. That's the risk. This is why I never "introduce" people to it and why I'm always against it. Just a warning. If you decide to go that path, watch yourself. Doing it "for fun" every once in a while, with large breaks (several months), is pretty safe. Start doing it systematically - not necessarily time, could be an activity you tie it with - and you'll start the process I described above.
