We lost because the priest didn't get sapped and was able to knock the grounding totem. We know the strat and how to execute it, was just a mistake on our part.
The point of the thread is that you shouldn't be killed 100-0 with full prehots wearing 5k resilience in 1.6 seconds. I guess in your case that might be acceptable, absurd damage can often carry you to victory despite mediocre play.
Bind curse of tongues on arena1,2,3 it will help you like 1 out of 1000 times where the mage randomly goes out of invis before starting to cast frostbolt while your sap is ended so that you can have an extended arena experience of ~1.85 seconds and not get reported for QQing.
Rep if this helps.(Also rep Billian, it was his idea)
Dying in openers certainly isn't fun, and can be incredibly frustrating if you're the one on the receiving end of such a coordinated attack, but don't give up! In addition to perhaps taking some time to focus on other activities such as Rated and unrated Battlegrounds where you have more people to watch your back, you might also consider browsing some PvP videos from other members of the community to not only help inspire you, but to also arm you with a further arsenal of tactics that you can use to your own advantage against opposing teams.
No I did not. I am probably done posting and visiting this site it is getting retarded. People who said they quit etc. still post just to troll, this site used to be good and helpful.
You barely scraped gladiator in S9 playing rogue dk shaman on shadowburn, i know exactly who you are and how bad you are at this game, every video you've ever posted on this website is awful. Period. Dont act like a victim to the trolls, you're a one time glad and you all of a sudden get 5 helmets and a r1 helmet? Bullshit, you cant even get glad now when rogues are the most op class in the game. You trolled the OP trying to help people in the first place, then YOU got trolled, and now you are crying like a little kid. Grow the fuck up bitch.
On another note, you couldnt get glad last season, and i did ALL the GLAD(you know the title you couldnt get) rmp sales for arenarating.com last season when it was arguably the hardest season to get glad if you didnt have a high mmr to begin with. Plus Id like to know what carries you do since you cant even get glad yourself. Do people pay you for 1800? Who even trusts a 1 time s9 mmr bugged glad for sales in the first place, good thing this is the internet and you can make up anything you want about yourself, or everyone would know how bad you are. Take a seat kid, you're a trash can.

season 94.1 ummm wtf blizz? what does rating mean???!!! Arrrrg frost dk's stop spamming me, wtf my half geared alt at 2700 mmr? wtf rating system makes no sense anymore
season 10 ummm i'm 2900 mmr ?? rating system makes no sense anymore, people already have gladiator first week, cancelled
season 11 ok ok blizz finally sorted out their shit, everyone still saying they are 2900+ fucking retards. They are streaming 3000 mmr team at 2300 rating, fucking retards
wait a sec people who stream make money? I wonder if they come close to 40,000 per year or if it's simply enough to live with their parents and pay rent
You're pretty much the perfect example of the disease the afflicts Arena these days, you guys purposely lost 6 matches to another team in order to make sure those games didn't challenge your title in another bracket.
I mean how fucking pathetic are you retards? That desperate for a title that you ARRANGED TO NOT HAVE ANY COMPETITION.
You should kill yourself.
Youre pretty much the perfect example of why these forums are so negative. You purposefully insult someone in order to start a commotion to make sure you get attention.
I mean how fucking pathetic are you nerd? That desperate for attention that you seek it out on AJ.
Admittedly I'm a little bored at work, and also a little tired. But something needs to be said, for those aren't already on the same page.
This thought has grilled me, and is the real reason i think anyone ever quits wow, pvpers anyways.
We are part of a formula, we have been trained to accept a terrible system and it seems were all entirely oblivious to it.
This thread is probably completely pointless as we all must be aware of this, but no one seems to talk about it anymore, we complain about specific stuff sure, but in general we just sit back and take it, its just the way it is and even though it is responsible for every other issue, we just close our eyes to it.
Every change, every new addition, every removal and tweek, its all just bullshit. It's what we wait for, to keep us coming back, to fix the new imbalance they pointlessly put into the game, so that hey it might be balanced next patch, and again, and again, and again, over and over and over. You could argue pve is responsible for this, but its not, its simlpy an excuse for blizzard to continue to be what we mistake as laziness. It's not laziness, ladies and gentlemen, its their fucking business model.
We get bored of one extremely long season, we complain endlessly about specific things over and over, a new patch here, and nerf there, and a new imbalance here. Over and over again. Sounds like im accusing blizzard of some giant conspiracy, but quite honestly at this point its pretty clear how this hamster wheel functions.
They make "mistakes", then say "oops! we didn't intend for this terrible system to not work as intended", then they reel us back in with the off chance they might fix it at some point down the road - chances are after another $15 from all of us is again safely in their pockets. It is genuinely insane.
As every season mellows out and takes for ever to finish we all just zombify and become use to it, we melt away brain cells endlessly doing the same thing accomplishing almost nothing, i mean in the end were suppose to be having fun, and dont get me wrong i do have fun when i arena with cool people, but honestly how can one sit back and even consider that its possible to have fun doing the same broken imbalnced garbage for 7 months in a row.
The thing that gets me the most, is when they finally bring in a new season, we all battled away for our titles and our gear and wait so patiently to get the next best shit, then its finally available! We all gear up like crack-fiends addicted to bigger numbers. We all hit pretty hard as the season starts and people complain, then they just buff reseilence and health pools, so even though were doing more damage and everyones all excited for this refreshing change, NOTHING HAS CHANGED lol.
Its depressing, this thread is depressing, the state of this game is depressing, but whats more depressing than anything is seeing all these quality people, all you guys, slave away as you get gouged by blizzard over and over again.
Were just part of a vicious cycle, a business model, an endlessly perpetuating and cleverly designed money making machine. Blizzard really doesn't give a shit what you say or complain about - they have it all planned out, and you'd be a fool to think otherwise.
This is cute - it's like arena junkies is growing up a bit? Very, very cute.
By the way, if the level of control others exert on your real life is similar to the level of control blizzard exerts on you via wow, I suggest reconsidering whatever it is that you're doing unless you're just a kid still or something.
Try to sound high and mighty all you want, but some people don't have better alternatives to their crappy living situations (though some people do and just don't know how to change it).
P.S. I agree it's better to take control of your life and not be a slave to a machine, I'm currently my own boss and no one tells me what to do, but I also know that not everyone has the opportunity to be their own boss because the world we live in is unfair.
The problem is that MMR is inflated from abuse. You don't lose rating for being bad because people are higher rated than you while being worse. The reason top teams had high win percents before (WoTLK, same system) is because when you are the best you have to have a >50% winrate to gain rating above the second best. Right now you don't have to have a high win rate because there are garbage players with 3k MMR from abusing. If you want to get 3k but all the good teams are 2.8k from farming 2300-2600 teams, you have to either never drop a game to 2300-2600 teams or beat the 2800 teams consistently. If you just trade even with the 2800s you will probably end up being 2800.
The problem is there are players that are 1900, 2200, 2300 with 3000, 2700, 2800 MMR because you are able to control your MMR without regard to your skill. That means the entire system doesn't matter, and it's really just who games it better. Whether you game it from beating abusers "legitimately" or from beating people who beat abusers "legitimately" everyone is playing in a broken system.
So the OP is right, when there are 2800 teams and they are all you play a 50% win rate is 2800. When you are playing higher rated teams you could be 3k with 40%. People are right too, though. It's impossible to be higher rated than everyone else and have a 50% win rate without abusing, and we have seen r1 teams with 50% or lower winrate as a result of abuse. High rated teams will not have 50% winrate unless they only face high rated teams or abuse. Rank 1 team will never have 50% winrate unless they are rank 1 by like five points, and even then you'd expect 54-56% (also seen in SC2!)
SC2 Example: On NA ladder select had a 75% or so win rate forever. He was #1 on the ladder. On KR ladder you see tighter win percents because there are a lot more people who play at a professional level. Still, top korean ladder players have closer to 54-58% win rates.
